Former Colorado First Lady Frances Owens describes herself as a "fiscal conservative," a supporter of the McCain-Palin ticket and as one of the spokespeople in favor of Amendment 51.
Supporters of the amendment have said there is no "extra money" sitting around state government to help people who deserve it. Owens says compassionate conservatives should support helping people with developmental disabilities because it's a moral issue as much as it is a fiscal one. - inactive, on 12/08/2008, -0/+1She only supports the developmentally disabled when it would benefit her personally. God forbid she should have to spend her own money taking care of token child.
- kteachums, on 10/24/2008, -0/+1I don't care what she does anymore. She can buy clothes for all that money but, doesn't believe in a peeny of tax to go toward the devementally disabled. It's the G.O.P. They don't care if the children don't eat as long as they get what they want out of the deal.
