- scottknick, on 11/01/2008, -17/+451Sarah Palin is an unapologetic dominionist whose allegiance to christo-fascism trumps her loyalty to the U.S. Constitution. Welcome to the future of the Republican Party.
- inactive, on 11/01/2008, -17/+282Wow so Palin supports stealing money from atheists.
We know the money won't be spent on providing support for rape victims since she forced rape victims in her city as mayor to pay for exams and treatment.
I know the money won't go for rebuilding infrastructure because she will use the money to put fancy designer cloths on herself and then she will spend the rest of the money carting around her clan and putting them in 4 star elite hotels.
Sarah Palin is as anti-American socialist as they come. - Wryly, on 11/01/2008, -9/+241She's dangerous. We don't need dangerous.
- toddag42, on 11/01/2008, -7/+228In a radio interview yesterday, she said that the media, by criticizing her, was infringing on her 1st amendment rights.
The 1st amendment protects the press from political oppression, not the other way around. While, I'm sure most dictators would agree with her view, I don't. Very dangerous when combined with her combined religious-political view. You betcha. - stonecircle, on 06/11/2009, -7/+137To the front page, people!
Palin's belief system is based on the theory that Christians alone are Biblically mandated to occupy all secular institutions until Christ returns. This concept has become the central unifying ideology for the Christian Right. Dominionists assert it is a Christian duty to take control of a sinful secular society.
1. Dominionists celebrate Christian nationalism, in that they believe that the United States once was, and should once again be, a Christian nation. In this way, they deny the Enlightenment roots of American democracy.
2. Dominionists promote religious supremacy, insofar as they generally do not respect the equality of other religions, or even other versions of Christianity.
3. Dominionists endorse theocratic visions, insofar as they believe that the Ten Commandments, or "biblical law," should be the foundation of American law, and that the U.S. Constitution should be seen as a vehicle for implementing Biblical principles. - megapeg, on 11/01/2008, -5/+132What's terrifying is the sheer number of people who agree with her.
- syrynus, on 11/01/2008, -5/+125I took great pleasure in sending a link to this story to one of the people who has been sending me "Obama is a communist who wants to steal our money" emails.
Of course, it will never occur to her to count herself among the "godless." - spaceman84, on 11/01/2008, -5/+121What a ***** lunatic.
- alapoet, on 11/01/2008, -5/+118This is exactly what we mean, when we call Sarah Palin dangerous.
That misguided zealot has no business anywhere near the White House.
Let's make sure that doesn't happen, folks. - inactive, on 11/01/2008, -6/+100I have never seen anyone so anxious to make America a Pentecostal version of the Middle East.
- thenekkidtruth, on 11/01/2008, -8/+95She can say any utterly foolish thing she wants. Until the party's over and she finds herself decorating a jail cell.
- GUAMtoTexan, on 11/01/2008, -13/+92Sarah Palin is the devil
- texasred54, on 11/01/2008, -4/+78Please make this info viral.
"When they came for me...." - algaeturd, on 11/01/2008, -4/+77I hope people wage a war against the fundamentalist right in this country. Someone needs to put an end to THEIR campaign of hypocrisy, hate, bile, greed and LIES.
***** these people. They love to martyr themselves and suggest that people hate them for being christians, but that's a false claim. They hate them because they're hypocritical, hateful, greedy and because they're LIARS. - webwatch, on 11/01/2008, -0/+62Religion is a mere weapon for the Republicons. Elizabeth Dole is using a similar "godless" argument against her opponent in NC senate race - http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/10/30/politics
- allowners, on 11/01/2008, -4/+64The new religion of the money changers.
- inactive, on 11/01/2008, -7/+64Atheist libertarians: Keep this in mind when you vote.
- jfkdem, on 11/01/2008, -0/+54Not just from atheists - from people that don't share her radical religious beliefs - which means from most of America.
- MrColdheart, on 11/01/2008, -5/+57Don't believe in invisible men.
- BlackQueen40, on 11/01/2008, -4/+54The one thing not being mentioned about all this information concerning these religious groups are how intertwined they all are. There is a certain segment, that is growing, among the religious right of which Palin is a member who believe it is their right to not just take power over all other religions as well as the secular community, but they believe they have the right to ascend to the Presidency or Vice Presidency of the United States in order to launch a nuclear war and bring about the End Times. Sarah Palin aspires to be the one who does that. You might think what I'm saying is outlandish or extreme but there is more and more proof accumulating to prove it. The Spiritual Warfare Network run by Mary Glazier boasts about Palin being a member since she was 24 years old. Glazier's group brags that they prayed for Mother Theresa's death and then took credit when she did die. They brag of successfully praying to block other religions's prayers, such as the Catholics and the Jews, from being heard by G*d. These people have spread out across the world and are not just a threat to the US but to the rest of the world.
- applepro, on 11/01/2008, -4/+51Separation of church and state please. I think the Republican party is going to have to change and be less right-wing Christian for the long-term. They are too conservative for the good of that party.
- inactive, on 11/01/2008, -4/+50They are pretty busy doing that right now.
- Dralha, on 11/01/2008, -1/+40"This Republican Party of Lincoln has become a party of theocracy."

http://www.theocracywatch.org/ - BlacklabelSAR, on 11/01/2008, -2/+40These people are no different than Islamist Extremists. Know your enemy.
- nielsforpokker, on 11/01/2008, -4/+41Get this dugg in a hurry, peeps. We need to make sure that the mainstream media makes a big a deal out of this as they did of the whole Jeremiah Wright thing.
This should be truly terrifying reading for any moderate republican out there. She's hi-jacked your party to wage a crusade on the US government. God (the nice old guy with a long beard one) help us all if she ever gets close to the white house. - Anomaly100, on 11/01/2008, -4/+41Extremists in any religion are insane beyond reason. There are a lot of people that call themselves Christians that are voting for this wing nut. I am a Christian (digg me down, I don't give a crap) and that is not a reason to vote for someone. Just because she's supposedly Christian does NOT mean she would be a great VP. She's a terrible choice and a ridiculously inexperienced running mate.Christian, Muslim, Baptist, etc should not play into who we vote for unless, maybe they are a Faithealing Snake handler. That might be kinda weird, but that's just me....Just sayin..
- firebirdx01, on 11/01/2008, -1/+37and this is exactly why I'm scared to death of this woman- she's freaking nuts and I don't think half the time she knows what she's supporting.
- inactive, on 11/01/2008, -2/+36Don't insult socialism with her name.
- inactive, on 11/01/2008, -6/+37Plundering our wealth is just the start. What they really want is to put every non-Christian to death -- except for the virginal females who will be kept as sex slaves.
- kingUssop, on 11/01/2008, -5/+33Theocrat! Repukes like her need to get the hell out of 'real America' because they apparently don't know what it is.
- mrsteveman1, on 11/01/2008, -0/+27It's not just a weapon, this bitch is actually crazy (palin)
- basye, on 11/01/2008, -6/+31Please, don't stoop to her level.
- spectecjr, on 11/01/2008, -2/+27Hey Geoff.
I'm a self-starter. I'm a director at a start up company. I've literally pulled myself up by my bootstraps.
I'm voting for Obama. Please quit with the empty rhetoric. - cimabuehw, on 11/01/2008, -3/+27This is an excellent summary of the goals of the Christian warfare ie dominionist, theocratic movement. Congratulations on being much better informed than most people.
- built2spill, on 11/01/2008, -4/+28WTF?
- zenbud, on 11/01/2008, -3/+26Dear "SELF STARTER"
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF JOE CONSERVATIVE
Joe gets up at 6 a. m. and fills his coffeepot with water to prepare his morning coffee. The water is clean and good because some tree-hugging liberal fought for minimum water-quality standards.
With his first swallow of water, he takes his daily medication. His medications are safe to take because some stupid commie liberal fought to ensure their safety and that they work as advertised. All but $10 of his medications are paid for by his employer's medical plan because some liberal union workers fought their employers for paid medical insurance - now Joe gets it too.
He prepares his morning breakfast, bacon and eggs. Joe's bacon is safe to eat because some girly-man liberal fought for laws to regulate the meat packing industry.
In the morning shower, Joe reaches for his shampoo. His bottle is properly labeled with each ingredient and its amount in the total contents because some crybaby liberal fought for his right to know what he was putting on his body and how much it contained.
Joe dresses, walks outside and takes a deep breath. The air he breathes is clean because some environmentalist wacko liberal fought for the laws to stop industries from polluting our air.
He walks to subway station for his government-subsidized ride to work. It saves him considerable money in parking and transportation fee because some fancy-pants liberal fought for affordable public transportation, which gives everyone the opportunity to be a contributor.
Joe begins his work day. He has a good job with excellent pay, medical benefits, retirement, paid holidays and vacation because some lazy liberal union members fought and died for these working standards. Joe's employer pays these standards because Joe's employer doesn't want his employees to call the union. If Joe is hurt on the job or becomes unemployed, he'll get a worker compensation or unemployment check because some stupid liberal didn't think he should lose his home because of his temporary misfortune.
It is noontime and Joe needs to make a bank deposit so he can pay some bills. Joe's deposit is federally insured by the FSLIC because some godless liberal wanted to protect Joe's money from unscrupulous bankers who ruined the banking system before the Great Depression. Joe has to pay his Fannie Mae-underwritten mortgage and his below-market federal student loan because some elitist liberal decided that Joe and the government would be better off if he was educated and earned more money over his lifetime.
Joe is home from work. He plans to visit his father this evening at his farm home in the country. He gets in his car for the drive. His car is among the safest in the world because some America-hating liberal fought for car safety standards.
He arrives at his boyhood home. His was the third generation to live in the house financed by Farmers' Home Administration because bankers didn't want to make rural loans. The house didn't have electricity until some big-government liberal stuck his nose where it didn't belong and demanded rural electrification.
He is happy to see his father, who is now retired. His father lives on Social Security and a union pension because some wine-drinking, cheese-eating liberal made sure he could take care of himself so Joe wouldn't have to do that.
Joe gets back in his car for the ride home, and turns on a radio talk show. The radio host keeps saying that liberals are bad and conservatives are good. He doesn't mention that the beloved conservatives have fought against every protection and benefit Joe enjoys throughout his day.
Joe agrees: "We don't need those big-government liberals ruining our lives! After all, I'm a self-made man who believes everyone should take care of themselves, just like I have."
**Why don't you start paying for your socialist benefits out of your pocket and see how far you get? Don't pay taxes, just do it yourself. I don't hate you, I love you and will give you the benefit of the doubt that you have intelligence and worth. Please do the same for me.** - aitoaster, on 11/01/2008, -0/+21Not just atheists... most sects think that all other ones are wrong. So you can look forward to the Dominionists stealing from everybody and "spreading their wealth around"
- sarahlee, on 11/01/2008, -1/+22Bet she can get some tips from Martha Stewart. I recall there was a tv special or something about how Martha had made her cell homey. Maybe we need to find it and send to Sarah.
- jakem1, on 11/01/2008, -0/+21This is why we need freedom FROM religion.
- traveler1217, on 11/01/2008, -2/+23What a ***** lunatic indeed. Again though, it is not so much Pailin I fear, but rather, the supporters who give her power. THEY scare me. Without them she is nothing. I count the people who voted Bush into office TWICE among her minions as well. Maybe a chunk of those have seen the light, who knows? Only Tuesday will tell..
- charm803, on 11/01/2008, -1/+22hahahahahahahaha-
I don't even know where to start, so I won't.
Us "Obamaians" will be too busy celebrating and handing out hugs! - richirwin, on 11/01/2008, -1/+22Abraham Lincoln has an ass-whipping in store for Palin in the afterlife.
- IphtashuFitz, on 11/01/2008, -0/+20Articles about that radio interview and her asinine misunderstanding of the First Amendment were already on Digg yesterday:
http://digg.com/political_opinion/Palin_speaks_on_ ... - SquigglyP, on 11/01/2008, -0/+20what do you mean by "Staying with the GOP"? Do you mean voting for McCain?
If not, then I applaud you. I have considered myself more of a conservative in the past (more fiscally than anything else) and I am not voting for McCain, and haven't voted republican since GWB Term 1. Almost immediately after 9/11 I realized the error I had made, and have refused to vote republican again unless it really reorganizes itself.
If you're planning to 'stay with the GOP' by voting for McCain, then you're just rewarding their misdeeds and mistakes. You don't give a dog a treat when it ***** all over your floor. If you do, the dog will just ***** there more often. That analogy is basically the story of the Republican Party of the last 20 years. - Elvaanish, on 11/01/2008, -3/+23Glad I wasn't the only one slightly put off. Socialism isn't a dirty word my fellow Americans, learn what it means and get out of the ***** fifties.
- cmootoo, on 11/01/2008, -1/+20Ok, you may have a point there. Christian nutjobs may think she's normal.
She's as dumb as a rock though. That much is plain to everyone. - rmonteiro, on 11/01/2008, -2/+20We should start a campaign to have millions of copies of the Constitution sent to her place of residence. Then make the avalanche of mail continue until she agrees to read the whole thing from the preamble through the Bill of Rights on live TV. Maybe something might sink in, but I doubt it.
- aitoaster, on 11/01/2008, -0/+17Yeah, we're trying to get rid of dangerous around here.
- darkciti2, on 11/01/2008, -3/+19No, I think the NeoCon churchies have hijacked the most senior management positions of the Republican Party.
The real conservative Republicans know it and they're scuttling the brand. They're using McCain as the sacrificial lamb. I guarantee you that in 2012 or 2016 the conservative republicans will have reinvented themselves as the Libertarian Party. The certainly have the money to do it.
The Republicans have become the Whig party. - stonecircle, on 06/11/2009, -1/+16IAMMIGHTY (in all caps, much less) - who died and made you God?
