- AgahniMalebogia, on 10/26/2008, -2/+11LoL I love how anti-obama people always make sure to say his middle name as if it's somehow proves he's a terrorist or something. Hussein is actually a fairly common name. But yeah, I know basicben is just going to say "that's his name.". meh. whatever. Also, Sarah Palin is a daft *****. She's a creationist. 'nuff said.
- WhatBubbaKnows, on 10/27/2008, -1/+8I hate to admit that Michelle Obama was right about something ... sorta. You liberals really are scared to death of a strong woman, especially a strong, patriotic woman - like Sarah Palin.
When John McCain is the president next year, I hope he is smart enough to seek the advice of Sarah before making any decisions.
She's gonna be a great Vice P! - PuterPrsn, on 10/28/2008, -1/+7Ms. Palin simply tells what she hears and sees. Obama is not saying what he started out saying - he will allow the tax cuts to die next spring, in effect raising everyone's taxes by a significant percentage.
So, I suppose (depending on what the meaning of "raise taxes" is), that in one way, Obama is not raising taxes on 95% of us. But, by allowing the tax cuts to lapse, he is returning to the previous "Clinton era" taxation he has promised.
And there you have it - another lawyer double-talking around the truth. - eir574, on 10/28/2008, -1/+7" Instead of pocketing the tax money for the state, Palin elects to give it back to the people."
And then she helped pass a windfall profits tax that was specifically intended to raise taxes on oil companies in order to distribute even more money back to citizens. That generated an extra $6 billion in tax revenues for the state -- not exactly a minor inconvenience to the oil companies! According to ConocoPhillips, royalty payments and taxes eat up about 75 percent of the value of each barrel of oil. Oil companies say that the high taxes are making it far less worthwhile to drill in Alaska. Source (http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/20 ... ). And, the oil companies get to write off their tax obligations to Alaska when paying federal taxes.
If it's about repaying Alaskan citizens for the use of their natural resources, why do republicans oppose windfall profits taxes on oil companies at a national level? Not all of them are using purely Alaskan resources.
"McCain wants to use money already allocated in the bailout package to renegotiate mortgages for people who otherwise qualified for their mortgage at the time they received it and who made a downpayment"
And in so doing, he'll also let banks avoid more of their losses than the plan passed by congress does. He's socializing their losses while keeping their profits privatized. The congressional plan called for banks to take a decent loss on mortgages that are refinanced with the government's help. - eir574, on 10/28/2008, -0/+6Again, as long as we're making things up, I think the republicans planted that person to make you think that the liberals planted him/her (couldn't quite get gender at the volume at which I was listening). They should do it again -- it worked!
- bradspangler, on 10/26/2008, -7/+12The biggest problem with this is that Republicans have instituted most of the key parts of a nightmare fascist state all by themselves. If they cared about freedom -- well, they wouldn't be Republicans. I'm not praising any other party, I'm just saying the GOP is self-evidently a vehicle for tyranny and nothing else.
Furthermore, there is no definition of socialism which applies to the Democratic Party that doesn't ALSO apply to the Republican party. If Obama is a "socialist", these guys are nationalistic socialists -- otherwise known as "national socialists" or "nazis". - LooseFur, on 10/26/2008, -7/+12Listen to Sarah Palin ranting like a crackhead.
I guess the McCain strategy is to lock up the mental patient vote, because they are the only people who are going to vote for such a loon.
Here's hoping the white-suited men with the butterfly nets catch her before she hurts herself and anyone within arm's reach... - inactive, on 10/27/2008, -1/+6Sarah is unafraid to speak the truth. That is why Americans - real Americans - not those who have no claim but birth to the name - love her so.
She sees what the Left would bring, just as millions of Americans see.
To my liberal friends; your condescension and dismissal has ruled the day for some time, and for that, you deserve some measure of credit, if credit is handed out for the ability to create a collective fantasy world where your ideology is the trump card, and your circle-jerks and group high-fives generate serial guffaws and chortles among the faithful.
But I am telling you, you are wrong. There is no liberal majority. There will be no lasting satisfaction in your self-congratulatory, adolescent masturbation. Serious people who still cling to American greatness and the beliefs that created it are awakening to what the Left intends, and they are becoming alarmed - dismayed even - at what our lack of vigilance and taking for granted our legacy of freedom has wrought, and has been manifested in you, you, and you.
Dismiss and condescend at your peril. Sarah Palin speaks for half this country. - Nannybell, on 10/28/2008, -1/+6You young liberals have been educated in govt. schools that lied to you about American history and made you into good little socialists. Then when you went to college, your Marxist professors sealed the deal. You have no idea that your views are socialist and that they are contrary to everything the Founding Fathers intended, everything that the American Revolution represented, and everything that our soldiers since that time have died to protect. Do yourselves a favor and get yourselves a book on American history published at least 50-60 years ago and learn what lies your schools taught you.
The current Democrat Party in Washington D.C. is a bunch of traitorous Marxists that should be thrown out on their ears while we still have a nation to call America. Barack Obama is a Marxist. There is a recording of a radio broadcast wherein he states that he thought it tragic that "redistributive change" (meaning redistribution of wealth) had not been effected as yet. He also spoke approvingly of reparations to African Americans. He spent 20 years in a black-liberation theology church. Black liberation theology is based in Marxism. Obama admits in his book Dreams From My Father that he attended socialist conferences, that he sought out Marxist professors as friends, and that he did not feel at home in the Western World. He also had a mentor in his youth, Frank Davis, who was a well-known black poet who was a communist sympathizer. Other radicals and socialists who have surrounded Obama most of his life have been much spoken of but ignored by the MSM. In 2006 Obama campaigned for his openly Marxist cousin in Kenya, a man who named his son Fidel Castro Odinga. A group known as Friends of Obama gave thousands of dollars to Odinga's campaign. This is not a smear... it's a fact.
How much more do you need to see the light of day about this man? He is a Marxist ! Palin is only trying to wake you up, and so am I.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11OhmY1obS4 - doctorf1956, on 10/28/2008, -1/+6Sarah Palin states Obama's intentions in clear terms. Obama told us today that he thinks the constitution needed to have provisions for redistribution of wealth. Once Fox News raises the issue, Obama, the coward that he is, blames Fox and tries to change the subject.
- inactive, on 10/27/2008, -2/+7 'nuff said? Not quite.
Ironically enough, Sarah Palin is the head of a quasi-socialist state government that taxes 75% of value of Alaskan oil and redistributes the wealth to the people in the form of yearly $2,000 checks plus an extra $1,200 that the Palin's administration pushed through and is taking credit for in order to take advantage of rising oil prices.
"When oil and gas prices went up so dramatically and the state revenues followed with that increase, I sent a large share of that revenue directly back to the people of Alaska,"
- Sarah Palin talking about her accomplishments as Alaskan Gov.
Of the 50 states, Alaska ranks No. 1 in taxes per resident and No. 1 in spending per resident.
Alaska has been called an adjunct member of OPEC and is the only state that is better off when oil prices go up.
Oh, and McCain wants the government to buy all the bad mortgages - Nannybell, on 10/28/2008, -0/+4Except that he's a Marxist as well. I think it is much more than just lawyer double-talk, something more insidious.
- PuterPrsn, on 10/28/2008, -0/+3No, she recognizes the truth. What he DOESN'T say is that he will let the Bush tax cuts for the middle class expire - which will, in effect, raise taxes on all of us.
And there you are - paying more taxes next year. - PuterPrsn, on 10/28/2008, -1/+4Why on earth should she dignify that by recognizing it? People like that want to get attention - the only way to get rid of them is to ignore them, as she did.
- Nannybell, on 10/28/2008, -1/+4No, she's not going away. And neither are the rest of the millions of conservatives in America who are sick of liberal idiotic death march into Marxism. No, we don't intend to let this country go down the tubes because of the ignorance of liberals.
- SheilaNoya, on 10/26/2008, -7/+10We already know that the only things the Republicans have to offer is FEAR and SMEAR. We've just come to expect that from them now, but Sarah Palin is sinking to new lows and creating her own brand of intense hate-mongering.
She's using the same tactics that Hitler used to get the crowds riled up. I don't say that lightly - I'm serious.
This woman is dangerous and she's going down a road that only ends in hatred and violence. - inactive, on 10/28/2008, -0/+2We are not a country anymore. We are owned by corporations and banks. If you want to support a corrupt system like that, you're the traitor. It's time to start over.
btw, my "/" is a quote from The Big Lebowski, chill out. - USArugula, on 10/28/2008, -0/+2Nannybell: I've asked you to source your claim of race riot threats before. You have yet to do so. More lies on your part.
- Nannybell, on 10/28/2008, -1/+3Yes, indeed. She's certainly making more sense than you liberals who don't know you are being led over a Marxist cliff.
- Nannybell, on 10/28/2008, -0/+2And you buy that, do you, Ag? That's a pretty simplistic plan. Not much detail there. If things sound too good to be true, usually they are. Actually, here is a link to a better explanation of how his tax plan will affect YOU: http://www.americanthinker.com/2008/10/senator_oba ...
- JenniferInMO, on 10/26/2008, -7/+8 I think I am becoming desensitized to extremist rhetoric. Every day it becomes more extreme and more bent on hate and fear mongering. But I am not as shocked as I was when they were more subtle. In looking at the polls it seems that more and more voters are letting it roll of their backs as well.
- Nannybell, on 10/28/2008, -2/+2Sheila, Sheila, Sheila.
Have you noticed that Obama gets crowds riled up?
Exactly what violence are you referring to, hmmm? Anything like the violence that liberals are threatening if Obama is not elected? They have been threatening race riots if that occurs.
McCain and Palin don't need to get me riled up. I already know the issues. And one thing I know is that Barack Obama is a MARXIST. - Nannybell, on 10/28/2008, -3/+3You are the loon because you don't know that Barack Obama is a stealth candidate. The man is a Marxist. The change he is promising you is not what you think it is.
- Nannybell, on 10/28/2008, -1/+1A clone of Bush? Exactly how? And what lies do you mean? Calling her a bimbo is sexist. I didn't think liberals were sexist.
- Nannybell, on 10/28/2008, -2/+2What hate? What fear mongering? Who is hating who? I am aware of no hate. And as for fear, there is a great deal to be worried about with a Marxist as President. Obama is a Marxist, and I don't need John McCain or Sarah Palin to tell me that. All I need are Obama's own words in his memoir, his Leftist record, and recordings of interviews where he stated it was tragic that "redistributive change" (meaning redistribution of wealth) had not been accomplished as yet. Look at all the radicals and Marxists with whom he has been associated most of his life. Obama even campaigned for his Marxist cousin in Kenya in 2006, a man who named his son Fidel Castro Odinga. How many American politicians campaign for foreign Marxists? And let's not leave out the important fact that Obama spent 20 years in a black liberation theology church. Black liberation theology is based in Marxism. It is you liberals who have been sold a bill of goods about Obama.
- hcardell, on 10/26/2008, -7/+6Great to see the Anchorage Daily News endorse Obama.
They should know that this bimbo is unprepared to lead the free world should anything happen to McBush.
We can't risk our country to a woman who has no problem telling a lie to anyone about anything. She is not a maverick. She is a clone of bush. - inactive, on 10/27/2008, -2/+1Spot on.
/I mean, say what you like about the tenets of National Socialism, Dude, at least it's an ethos. - jstohler, on 10/27/2008, -7/+5Note how at 40-second mark, Palin totally ignores the "He's a *****" comment from the crowd.
- AgahniMalebogia, on 10/26/2008, -7/+5um. he's said a million times that he's only going to raise taxes for the very rich (people who make over $250,00 a year). is palin deaf or just ignorant?
- Nannybell, on 10/28/2008, -3/+1And you are a traitor to your country if you favor anything but the capitalistic system established by the Founding Fathers.
Socialism is primarily about redistribution of wealth. Republicans are not about redistribution of wealth.
Because we were in an extreme situation of being attacked by Islamic jihadists, and were in the worrisome position of needing to find out if they were plotting more attacks, extreme measures were needed. The ridiculous conspiracy theories made up about George Bush wanting to take our liberties are just ridiculous. But then maybe you are one of those people who think Bush planned 9/11 himself. If so, there is no point talking to you further. - Nannybell, on 10/28/2008, -5/+2Not to mention it was probably a liberal plant to make her look bad.
- inactive, on 10/26/2008, -9/+6It's really refreshing to see someone in this country publicly state what awaits us under an Obama ruling class.
Sarah Palin is such a great American that she will stand and warn those who listen of the oncoming wave of destruction concealed in Barack Hussein Obama's Socialist Agenda.
"If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is." was once sage advice handed from one generation to another. No more. Far too many Americans have become brainwashed to the point of having 30 second attention spans and the incredulous ability to believe anything and everything that they see/hear on TV.
Those individuals have to be reached at any cost and at least warned of what awaits them if they fall for Obama's BS.
It may be bad now in the US. But it will most certainly be far worse if Barack Hussein Obama is given the nuclear launch codes along with the keys to our country.
See you at the polls with the rest of America. - Nannybell, on 10/28/2008, -5/+2Evilena,
That is not a Marxist policy. The oil companies are making huge profits off resources that belong to the people of Alaska. Instead of pocketing the tax money for the state, Palin elects to give it back to the people. That is not the same as stealing from my pocket to put in your pocket, when you and I do not have any other relationship going on.
McCain wants to use money already allocated in the bailout package to renegotiate mortgages for people who otherwise qualified for their mortgage at the time they received it and who made a downpayment. They will still have a mortgage, but it will be a manageable one. That's as opposed to the dummies who took on a mortgage that was beyond their means, had bad credit, and made no downpayment.
Please check your facts before you post. I believe I have explained at least one of these things to you before, so one could get the impression that your intention is to deceive. - Jamakan, on 10/27/2008, -5/+0wow someone send this to msnbc and cnn, and fox news please.
- inactive, on 10/27/2008, -7/+2she needs to go away now.
- inactive, on 10/27/2008, -7/+1Keep talking, Sarah. Just keep talking.
