Wondering if Palin's close Gay friend from the last 30 years will still be her friend.... Hum....
Why the Republicans joined forces with people who want MORE governmental controls over people is beyond me, except they are a reliable vote, if nothing else. - Echota, on 01/05/2009, -1/+13The more she talks, the less knowledge she show's.
- icexe, on 10/01/2008, -1/+12Being a clueless, ignorant, hypocritical puppet is a choice too...
By the way, I have a "conservative friend", and though she's a complete idiot, I'm not gonna judge people. - SurryElle, on 10/01/2008, -1/+11Wow- if being gay were a choice do people really think that the GLBT community would do so much to fight for their rights and go through so much persecution? Absolutely ridiculous - not that I ever entertained the thought of voting for this nutjob, but this just pushes me more and more toward Obama.
- threeonefour, on 10/01/2008, -1/+9Well that must mean that I can't possibly be racist because I have several friends who choose to be minorities too! If only more homosexuals would choose to be straight, they could enjoy just as many freedoms as the rest of us! As I recall, many African Americans chose to be white during the 60s so that they wouldn't have to go through the whole ordeal of the civil rights movement.
- inactive, on 10/02/2008, -1/+7People don't choose whether or not to be gay.
They chose whether or not to flip out about it. - xekko, on 10/01/2008, -1/+7The main quote:
"I have, one of my absolute best friends for the last 30 years who happens to be gay. And I love her dearly. And she is not my “gay friend.” She is one of my best friends who happens to have made a choice that isn’t a choice that I have made."
She's trying to make a decent point - "I'm not homophobic!" - but then blows it out the water by showing what she truly thinks - that being gay is a just "choice", something you decide one day on a whim. This woman is ridiculous. - MrMetal, on 10/01/2008, -1/+7Oh man, can we pleeeease elect this woman to be our V.P.? Come on America, we can do it! It's about time we have an uneducated, ignorant, completely idiotic person leading this country!
... oh, wait. - Coven, on 10/02/2008, -0/+5I'll bet her gay friend doesn't even exist.
- housewarmer, on 10/02/2008, -1/+5Well, in her defense, Palin being stupid may not be a choice (that is a heritable trait after all), but being uninformed is. I caught this watching the interview and am glad that it hasn't gone unnoticed amongst all the other tripe Palin's been spewing about.
- b8man99, on 10/02/2008, -1/+5Being an uninformed idiot is a choice Palin made.
- paintgrl, on 10/02/2008, -1/+5Being gay is a part of NATURAL human sexuality. There have been gay people as long as there have been humans. To think only one type of sexual preference is natural or proper is so against the very laws of averages it is stupid.
- Talphin, on 10/01/2008, -1/+3Just out of curiosity, is Down Syndrome hereditary?
/sarcasm - paintgrl, on 10/02/2008, -0/+2I bet her gay friend is tied up in the basement.
