- deadmoo, on 01/22/2008, -8/+100Why are people voting for McCain? I don't get it. What is so good about him?
- NightVortez, on 01/22/2008, -1/+72Back in 2000 McCain was a great candidate, too bad he has become way too caught up with both his support for Bush and his refusal to "lose" the Iraq War.
- JLecker, on 01/22/2008, -0/+44It's funny how the media was trumpeting Giuliani as a front runner a couple of months back, yet he hasn't placed in the top 3 in a single primary. He and Thompson have had incredibly unremarkable candidacies, especially considering the hype surrounding both of them.
- dawn4598, on 01/22/2008, -4/+45100 years?
- JigoroKano, on 01/22/2008, -11/+41He is against torture.
He seems to be the most credible of the pro-war crowd.
He does have a history of working across the isles.
Not enough for myself, but there are reasons to like him. - inactive, on 01/22/2008, -1/+31bottom line, he used 9/11 victims to fill potholes
- Etchii, on 01/22/2008, -0/+289/11 blah blah blah 9/11 blah! Elect 9/11 america's mayor 9/11
- metapop, on 01/22/2008, -1/+27he's all about the status quo, that's why. old people fear change.
- notmike721, on 01/22/2008, -1/+27This is ridiculous. I agree with this article. Guiliani hasn't won a race yet and should really drop out. I can't stand when candidates don't realize they don't have a shot at winning.
- Minarchian, on 01/22/2008, -19/+44What's so damned good about any of the candidates?
Only one has been following the Constitution and he is the only one people should vote for and support...if they truly support the Constitution that is. - inactive, on 01/22/2008, -7/+319iul1an1 is losing?
- metapop, on 01/22/2008, -1/+25perhaps because they know him best.
- thall, on 01/22/2008, -2/+23If people want to go to war, mccain seems more suitable to lead them into that. But it's a moot point because the U.S. can't afford the cost of war. Poor economy is the immediate threat, not possible suiciders, and there's only a couple candidates with enough balls to tackle that threat. (and it's not mccain, he's a little too trigger happy at the moment)
- entrophize, on 01/22/2008, -2/+22Needs more 9/11.
- DeadRooster, on 01/22/2008, -0/+18I think even Republicans realize that Giuliani would be the final nail in America's coffin. America could not withstand even 4 years of Rudy Giuliani.
- fractalman, on 01/22/2008, -2/+20The war in Iraq has been over for more than 1700 days. It is an occupation of Iraq. Bush declared "Mission Accomplished on May 1st 2003. The war was won, now it's time to end the occupation. McCain is unable to understand this. He thinks there is still a war going on in Iraq. We don't need anyone that is this confused to run our country. Haven't we had enough of that with Bush?
- chase001, on 01/22/2008, -5/+23Maybe the country is more prepared for a female or black president than a salivating fascist incestuous cross dresser with a giant fetus like head. What's not to like?
- stronglikedan, on 01/22/2008, -0/+17He's not Giuliani.
- smacksaw, on 01/22/2008, -1/+17Laugh???
Ron: Knock knock?
Rudy: Who's there?
Ron: Constitution?
Rudy: 9/11
Ron: You're supposed to say "Constitution who?"
Rudy: 911, 911, 911, 911 ahahahahahahahahaha (laughing maniacally) - Yeshuas, on 01/22/2008, -3/+19Maybe, Ron Paul will have the last laugh if he lasts longer than Guiliani.
- inactive, on 01/22/2008, -11/+27Ron Paul has certainly not said or done anything tt would indicate that he espouses noncompliance with the 14th Amendment.
He has said that the citizenry may consider a new amendment to erase the birthright citizenship. That is how w are supposed to operate with te Constitution.
Before you dis Dr. Paul too much read this: http://reasontraditionandliberty.blogspot.com/2008 ...
Ron Paul predicted all the problems that are now assailing us pal - Dustin00, on 01/22/2008, -1/+15He hasn't won anywhere. Ron Paul is ahead of him.
If anybody should be ditched from ballots and debates, Giuliani is your man! - snotrokit, on 01/22/2008, -0/+13he has no cowbell.
- SheilaNoya, on 01/22/2008, -1/+13Damn! I was really looking forward to seeing the ads during the General Election that showed a divorced man in drag, who had 2 gay roomates and a slew of scandals, as the official face of the Republican party.
- JLecker, on 01/22/2008, -9/+19Er... like Ron Paul?
/ducks - sizzzzlerz, on 01/22/2008, -1/+10Maybe he has forgotten to mention 9/11?
- thall, on 01/22/2008, -0/+8Wait until their cost of living hits a traumatic change, maybe then...just maybe...they'll look past the FUD and start thinking on their own.
- inactive, on 01/22/2008, -0/+7After 9/11 we thought he rocked. Then he started to use 911 as his own personal political issue and we started to remember that we hated his guts. He was the SOB that NYC needed and he'll always have our respect on that side of the ledger but he also made many, many asshatted maneuvers.
I'm not sure who would trample civil rights more, Rudy or McCain. I'm scared that McCain might win because he crafted the monster that is McCain Feingold. - Yatata, on 01/22/2008, -4/+11from democracy to a fascist state in 10 easy steps:

these are the most important things you will see, pass it on. - inactive, on 01/22/2008, -4/+11The case of Ron Paul is different. All dreaming aside, no-one seriously hopes that Dr. Paul will be moving into 1600 Pennsylvania Ave next January. His campaign is designed to promote a serious of coherent ideas. Those of us that fervently support his candidacy are not infatuated with the man, but rather we are thrilled that the ideas of sound fiscal and monetary policy, of non-interventionist foreign policy, of strengthened personal liberties, of a smaller and less intrusive Federal government.
I believe that these ideas are critical to the survival of the Republic and I am thrilled to see, a small step at a time, that commentators and journalists and other politicians are beginning to see the wisdom in Dr. Paul's ideas.
I think that the economic crash that is looming above us will crash over us like a Tsunami and perhaps, just maybe, people will be smart enough to look for those who saw this coming. If they look, they will find Dr. Paul and his humble, honest, American ideas.
However very few Americans have as yet seen or heard that Dr. Paul has been a single voice against the Patriot Act, the war in Iraq, HR 1955 and all the other bulldozing of our rights up until now.
That is why his campaign is important. The longer he continues with 8% here and 14% there, the more people will be curious to hear what he is saying. So, the reason that he is running and the reason that he should not drop out bear no similarity at all to all of the other candidates motivated wholly by personal ambition. - xthroughmyeyesx, on 01/22/2008, -0/+7More like "Trails ESPECIALLY in New York."
***** Giuliani. - notmike721, on 01/22/2008, -7/+14exactly
- ZombieKiss, on 01/22/2008, -0/+6What I want to know is why anyone is voting for Romney. I don't care much for McCain or Ghouliani, but Romney? He comes off as an air head - I really think the only reason he's doing well is because he "looks" like a president. Man, what a beauty pageant this process is.
- Wynner3, on 01/22/2008, -0/+6Doesn't Giuliani have a campaign manager? I wonder what they think Giuliani is is doing. He is digging his own campaign grave, heck, I will help him do it.
- Gryffydd, on 01/22/2008, -0/+6Good thing they'll die soon, eh?
- das7282, on 01/22/2008, -0/+6Please don't bring his (Giuliani) name up any more. I don't care if it's a good or bad headline, the more his name stays out of the headlines the better off we all are!
- springboks, on 01/22/2008, -0/+6He's appealing to that audience that still wants to "Smoke Osama out of a Afghani cave"
- pjpete, on 01/22/2008, -0/+6How is this 'ouch'? Since when has it been a secret that Giuliani is an unpopular person in New York?
- cusoman, on 01/22/2008, -0/+5If he gets anything short of 2nd place in Florida, I'm pretty sure he will drop out.
- martinjd, on 01/22/2008, -4/+9It's a valid point. Even though I'd take Ron Paul over Giuliani, you can't make a case for Giuliani dropping out while still pretending Paul has a chance.
- treeflappa, on 01/22/2008, -0/+59/11 9/11 9/11 9/11 9/11 9/11 9/11 9/11 9/11 9/11 9/11 9/11 9/11 9/11 9/11
- martinjd, on 01/22/2008, -1/+6Well Giuliani's been focusing all his efforts on the Super Tuesday states. I don't really think he has a chance, but I would certainly be surprised if he dropped out before then.
- RickS2, on 01/22/2008, -2/+7A vote for McCain is a vote for more of the same.
- inactive, on 01/22/2008, -0/+5why not Ron Paul, somebody who wants change?
- EricMiIIer, on 07/10/2009, -0/+5Dr. Paul said it himself, his candidacy for president is not about the person, its about the idea. I dont agree with you on the fact that "no-one seriously hopes that Dr. Paul will be moving into 1600 Pennsylvania Ave next January" because I honestly do. But with or without the Presidency, the ideas of the Ron Paul Revolution will continue.
- defektiv, on 01/22/2008, -0/+5i would hope he is trailing, ESPECIALLY in NY. New Yorkers should know better than anyone else of his lies, corruption and political scandals. when you have police and fire officials going on television to say he is a lying hack, the conclusions are drawn for you.
- msjo, on 01/22/2008, -2/+7buried because no mention of Ron Paul
- doctorfungi, on 01/22/2008, -2/+6He ***** up his strategy big time. If he'd campaigned in Iowa, NH, and SC he'd be in for a real chance. What an idiot.
- smacksaw, on 01/22/2008, -0/+4Yeah, I feel like he's running on the ***** of 2008 Republicans in the 2000 model of the Straight Talk Express bus.
