- sconnor, on 10/25/2008, -4/+37Excellent submission! See the the writing on the wall fellow citizens. Not conspiracy theory, but conspiracy fact.
- ConcernedCanuck, on 10/25/2008, -3/+24Great Article!
Martial law in the US would be applied with the utmost attention to public sensibilities and perceptions, avoiding the garish display of force we see in Iraq. It would be a “kinder and gentler” martial law with a limited number of military personnel on the streets (just enough to remind us that things have changed) and an emphasis on “preemptive” policing operations. (Expect Falcons IV, V and VI, etc.) It would probably be disguised by a carefully crafted public relations campaign and a predictably cheery moniker, such as, “The Security Enhancement and Homeland Fortification Act”. The possibilities are limitless.
The Bush administration is also prepared if some unforeseen tragedy befalls congress, like another anthrax attack.
In fact, the American Enterprise Institute, to which the Bush team is closely aligned, has already issued “proposals for the operation of Congress following a catastrophic terrorist attack.” They advocate the “appointing” of individuals to the House of Representatives “to fill the seats of dead or incapacitated members, a first in American history.” The Continuity of Government Commission “is ’self-commissioned’, its members being neither elected nor appointed by any government body. The biographies of the commissioners demonstrate that COGC is made up mostly of professional lobbyists.” (Read the whole article here.) http://www.conservativeusa.org/cog-ronpaul.htm
The Falcon operations are just a small part of this larger paradigm. The program is not designed for rounding up minor crooks and drug dealers, (which no one really cares about anyway) but for removing leftists, dissidents and political rivals. These are the real targets. The power of the state is measured in terms of how effectively it defeats or eliminates its enemies. And the Bush administration has shown a remarkable aptitude for crushing its rivals. - Herostratus, on 10/25/2008, -4/+14Cue Ministry's New World Order
- wjappe, on 10/25/2008, -3/+13Is this real? I hope not. perhaps a flurry of letters to our congressman traitors is in order. Not that they are likely to help but if they think we know perhaps it might slow it down a bit. Delay for time.
- wjappe, on 10/25/2008, -4/+13If you believe the second amendment is the only gun permit we need, you might be a Libertarian. Politicians are not going to be honest and trustworthy all by themselves. They need to be controlled by votes and if it gets too out of control and our government no longer is controlled by the people it is our duty, our duty to change it or overthrow it. We have been sleeping too long.
- DewKnight, on 10/25/2008, -2/+9Except it's not only bush that is doing this. There have been executive orders signed in by numerous presidents preparing this nation for martial law. When obama is elected, we're going to see this plan fall into place very quickly. Ne prepared to be locked up for your beliefs! Like the manual says, if you defend the constitution, you're probably a terrorist.
- Yatata, on 10/25/2008, -2/+9can someone give a rational explanation for this? http://www.libertyforlife.com/jail-police/us-conce ...
and the terrorist watch list that's ballooned past 1 million names - all of them "liberals" some school teachers, even four star generals - and their children?? - ConcernedCanuck, on 10/25/2008, -5/+11or have the reverse effect?
I'm thinking an anthrax attack on congress, right after the elections.Coinciding with the possibility of Bush declaring marshal law around that January 22nd date that we've been hearing about.
http://digg.com/politics/Political_Radar_Biden_to_ ... - inactive, on 10/25/2008, -4/+10I'm sorry to be the harbinger of bad news, but they don't give a damn what we think, about anything. Even if they did they have little power now to stop anything. Remember the bailout bill the House rejected only to pass days later after certain members were threatened with martial law?
We've waited so long that our asses are in such a crack that I doubt all the forests in the world could produce enough tissue to clean up the mess!!! - inactive, on 10/25/2008, -3/+8I suppose that makes me a Libertarian.
- angeladtao, on 10/25/2008, -6/+11The date the article was originally published is 2/26/07 which is printed at the bottom of the article. I was greatly relieved to see this since I was wondering if I would be picked up for my leftist activities when Bush declares Marial Law since Grandpa McCain seems destined to lose the election.
- wjappe, on 10/25/2008, -2/+6Thanks for pointing that out, one advantage of having this dialog with so many people is that there are more eyes to notice details like this.
- wjappe, on 10/25/2008, -3/+7Yeah it's scary stuff and we are just pawns in the game. Unlikely to be much more. Kind of like being in a scary movie and hoping the good guys win. Hope it's not going to be like "Night of the Living Dead". I wouldn't know how to play a more active part in it. We will see how it ends for us. I wish our "reps" were a little smarter, I don't think they are in for a rosy end either and certainly not their family and friends. Their stupid for letting it happen and being cowed by "them".
- inactive, on 10/26/2008, -0/+4It is a wonderful weapon!
- lazerus9, on 10/25/2008, -1/+5The communists didn't think so.
- vault, on 10/26/2008, -0/+4LOL
Yeah if we were really on the verge of a police state, I'm sure a letter to your congressman would be the solution. That really is the logical response here.
Probably end up getting yourself committed. - inactive, on 10/25/2008, -6/+9Hitler genuinely intended his actions to benefit the German folk, but Bush has no ethnic loyalty to the mixed up American population and his imposition of power is as an internationalist rather than a nationalist. He serves international money powers. He would indeed argue that his actions are for Americans, but he knows he is just playing on the gullibility of idiots when he says that.
- lazerus9, on 10/25/2008, -4/+7The answer to 1984 is .308...AR-10
- vault, on 10/26/2008, -1/+4"Hitler genuinely intended his actions to benefit the German folk"
Shame on you and anyone who dugg that comment up. You are a disgusting human being. - lazerus9, on 10/26/2008, -0/+3That was my point.I guess you are the only one that knew what I was talking about.
- Lhandroval, on 10/25/2008, -1/+4Haliburton detention camps? Pics or it didn't happen.
- inactive, on 10/25/2008, -4/+7Make them pay tenfold for every life or captive they take!!!
- anatt, on 10/26/2008, -0/+3But vault, they sure are if Obama wins!
- angeladtao, on 10/25/2008, -2/+5Then why did you digg me down?
- angeladtao, on 10/25/2008, -2/+4Sorry! My mistake. I jumped to conclusions which is definitely the wrong thing to do on a forum situation. Please accept my apologies.
- JohnReb, on 10/26/2008, -1/+3How could Bush declare martial law on January 22nd when he will have been out of office for two days?
- Tediel, on 10/25/2008, -0/+1LOL I'm relatively new here, how can you tell who digs you down?
- purplesawdust, on 10/25/2008, -2/+3FALCON PUNCH!!!
- wjappe, on 10/25/2008, -1/+2It's okay, thanks for getting back to me, it was bothering me a little. I've seen some weird goings on on digg, I see sometimes a comment I wrote with about 7 friends digging me and the digg meter says +2/-0 which makes no sense to me and there was a page not long ago, I think something about Ron Paul and the main digg counter was going up and down, other people noticed it too but it seems that complaining to digg.com does no good. Why did you think I was doing that? (so I don't think the wrong thing someday with other people) Just curious.
Thanks again, angeladtao - Tediel, on 10/25/2008, -3/+4I guess how much you believe this depends on where you stand in the political agenda but it came to mind when you asked.
http://shadowgovernment.wordpress.com/2007/11/28/h ... - stienster, on 10/25/2008, -2/+3actually, I believe it's much more about showing the locals what will be, and let's not forget the exposure to the participants (law enforcement officers who are actually still people, must be trained and brainwashed into becoming soldiers of terror).
- stienster, on 10/25/2008, -2/+3check out this link:
It's Time Patriots. It's TIME.
http://www.wsws.org/articles/2008/oct2008/gree-o23 ... - wjappe, on 10/25/2008, -1/+2I haven't dug anyone down. I used to do that when I first joined digg but realized everyone is entitled to their opinion. So I haven't digged anyone down in a long time and I don't intend to do that anymore as a matter of policy. So it wasn't me.
- Dymaxionpz, on 10/31/2008, -0/+1Yeah, and Ron Paul was a wacko for talking about economics and monetary policy during the primaries...
oh, wait, now that's important!
As the 3 stooges liked to say, "Wake up and go back to sleep." - Dymaxionpz, on 10/31/2008, -0/+1Just because we're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get us.
;-) - inactive, on 10/26/2008, -0/+1Or a strict Constitutionalist such as myself. I left the Libertarian party a few years ago.
- inactive, on 10/26/2008, -1/+2Your point?
- Tediel, on 10/25/2008, -1/+1Unfortunately, this I think would possibly be the only way out, and it would have to happen VERY soon.
http://votestrike.com/shut_em_down
I wont go so far as to vote strike, they would just take what is given. What about 50% or less of the public votes now, so would not make much difference. But I would go on a purchase strike and not buy anything for 2-5 Nov and not go anywhere. Just one day had a really hard affect in Greece from what I have read. The only place to hurt them is their bank accounts. - vault, on 10/26/2008, -4/+4Bunch of paranoid schizos.
How do you guys even get through the day? I can't even imagine what it's like constantly thinking we're on the verge of martial law. - empirefalling, on 10/25/2008, -2/+2America still has until January 2009 before it is set free. Bush and his criminal group still have several months of operations inside the illegally occupied White House. Bush is still very much a danger to all, even to his own kind. The insane idiot may "push the button" yet. The illegal state of Israel may try to attack Iran before Bush is kicked out of the White House, with the thinking that the US would help. But the US is too weak and humiliated to engage in another military campaign. If Bush and his cronies tried to initiate a military attack on Iran, the American people would revolt. The World would revolt against the US.
Even though these camps exist...I doubt that Bush could find enough persons to enforce such a mass arresting. - DewKnight, on 10/26/2008, -1/+1yes, it will happen no matter who wins, unfortunately obama is going to win, and we're going to see it happen faster. Not that I like either candidate.
- DewKnight, on 10/26/2008, -1/+1it won't be bush who puts us in these camps. It will be your savior obama.
- insurgente, on 10/26/2008, -1/+1That he was a communist, and that liberals and free marketeers should not use his works to prove a point.
- Tediel, on 10/25/2008, -2/+2We will see it regardless of who wins the election. Just a matter of how.
- NoLibertarians, on 10/26/2008, -6/+4These Martial law Freaks are some of the world's biggest conspiracy theorists
- insurgente, on 10/25/2008, -3/+1They did not? He almost died fighting for P.O.U.M. (Partido Obrero de Unificación Marxista) in the Spanish Civil War. If that does not make someone a communist, I do not know what does.
- djodorg, on 10/25/2008, -3/+1That's so true..Sir Johan
- inactive, on 10/25/2008, -13/+11YET you libs STILL want only the cops to have guns. Your story would be more reasonable if you were able to think rationally. Ummm, come to think of it, no, it would still be paranoid garbage
MINOR crooks and criminals? What's that?. - insurgente, on 10/25/2008, -4/+1George Orwell was a communist.

What is Digg?
