- error10, on 01/22/2008, -5/+16Yeah, Fred was my second choice. I didn't know who would drop out first, to be honest. But it appears now that Ron Paul will go all the way to the convention.
- Minarchian, on 01/22/2008, -7/+15Ditto.
Please join the only true Conservative left running this cycle, Ron Paul.
You may not agree with Paul's foreign policy but it looks like the economy is going bust and Paul is the only one who has the ideas it would take to truly turn the country around to prosperity.
Common Fredheads...liberty needs you! - deadheart169, on 01/22/2008, -7/+15Fred was always the next best to me.
Ron Paul 2008!! - reed311, on 01/22/2008, -7/+12I've watched you guys throw nothing but insults at Fred's (and everyone else's candidate, for that matter) supporters for the past several months. You think they are going to want to join up with a group that routinely insults them and calls them anti-freedom, etc? Not gonna happen.
- inactive, on 01/22/2008, -3/+8You're going to base your support for a candidate on how a handful of his supporters treated you? That doesn't make any sense. Why not look at how the candidate himself stands on the issues instead?
- notque, on 01/22/2008, -1/+5So your first choice is completely different policies than your second choice. I don't quite understand.
- q314, on 01/23/2008, -0/+3this is *****. is it so hard to believe that perhaps random people have made up logins and are ***** with Ron Paul on Digg? I could do it myself in about 10 seconds.
Ron Paul supporters, bury this garbage.
Ron Paul non-supporters, bury this garbage.
This is not what we are all about. - soulmantim, on 01/23/2008, -0/+3Dude, Reed is a troll, he goes around spreading hate.
Instead of giving reasons he simply says the word "Paultard" like he's the f'n genius that invented putting part of a person's name and combining it with the word "Retard". - soulmantim, on 01/23/2008, -1/+4oh please, so by your rationale 2 people make an entire party?
their voices are not mine. - daEvan, on 01/23/2008, -0/+2I see where you're coming from man, but what isn't right is the fact that this kid has spent an immense amount of time just going out of his way to antagonize other people on Digg alone. Its despicable. I won't even go into how pathetic it is, but in my own defense I have to say that I only posted that to put the little brat in place. Sure, everybody makes offensive or hateful comments on Digg. But not like this kid. He defines "troll".
- Kangalanatolian, on 01/22/2008, -1/+3But, but... He is the commander in chief. That is the one thing he could do for sure. Unless you simply believe he will be shot first.
- FunkyDung, on 01/23/2008, -0/+2I may have mocked Fred's comatose campaign, but I've never mocked FredHeads. I suspect there's a horde of lurking Paulites in a similar situation. Don't let a few bad apples make you think the whole bunch is rotten.
- Humptydank, on 01/23/2008, -2/+4Well soulmantim is certainly extending the olive branch now that Thompson is ending his campaign. Here he is when Thompson entered the race, speaking to a Thompson supporter:
------------
by vinegirl on 09/19/2007
Doesn't matter at all if Fred didn't know. He is the candidate that true, smart Americans have been waiting for. Check the polls....He's only been running officially for two weeks and he's already leading Giuliani and left that loser cultist Romney in the dust. Go Fred!
by soulmantim on 09/19/2007
How clueless do you have to be? Oh, and he's no champion for the 2nd Amendment rights. Check yer facts.
We don't need a lobbyist that defended the asbestos corporations from the American people when it was killing the people...
---------- - vbullinger, on 01/22/2008, -3/+5You don't really care what happens: you will always bash Ron Paul and his supporters.
Every single solitary thing you say is pointless and useless.
Every point you make is empty and moot.
Apparently, you don't like Ron Paul. So... ignore the campaign and any posts about him. In other words: get a life! - daEvan, on 01/23/2008, -0/+2I don't think I'd want to be like you!
http://www.trollhunters.org/content/bingobongony-t ... - soulmantim, on 01/23/2008, -0/+2I wouldn't count $1.8 Million a failed money bomb. That's more than some candidates have cash in hand right now.
Also, I'm glad there is no one else exactly like me because then the world would be boring.
Also, those that mock are usually suffering from low self esteem and are covering up something negative about them.
Paul is GAINING support, look, this quarter alone he's had 41,000 donors totaling for over $3 Million dollars!
Again, he's gaining support in a land where the GOP is starving for funds and support.
It's going to go to convention, and the rest are not running a smart race. Huck, McCain, and Giuliani, are all running on fumes, it will take a miracle if they make it to convention the way they are spending. Louisiana caucus is today and Paul may do well and pick up some national delegates there.
You know what a failed money bomb is? Obama and Huckabee both tried to raise 1 Million in a day last quarter, both failed miserably.
Sadly, there wasn't the support for Thompson that I was hoping for, I honestly don't know why, maybe he just got too late in the race.
He missed out on some valuable air time, but he did very well in some of the debates he was in.
I liked the fact that he refused the raise his hand, Paul did too (look at the video, he's clapping for Fred).
I like the fact that Fred called out Huck on him being the democrat that he is.
SO basically, the point is take a chill pill, slow and steady wins the race.
All Paul needs to do is win one state and the momentum will carry him through, he's already came in 2nd in Nevada.
He may just win in Louisiana today. - soulmantim, on 01/23/2008, -1/+3States rights, a strong immigration policy, and a strong border are common in both candidates platforms.
They are NOT completely different. The only thing you see is the emotional divide that is the war. Take the war out of the equation and Paul is near identical. I also didn't agree with Thompson on how to handle the economy, but his goals where good.
Unlike McCain's Amnesty, Huckabee's Theocracy, and Romney's soft fascism (corporatism involved in government programs taking taxpayers money w/o their knowledge etc etc) Thompson and Paul shared the same vision of a free market economy. - soulmantim, on 01/23/2008, -0/+2Moi?
Although I don't represent ALL Ron Paul supporters like some god-like being, I am personally admitting that yes, I have been critical of some Fred supporters only because I see many of them resort to saying "Paultard" and not really giving me solid reasonings why.
Hence, this is the reason I'm extending a personal olive branch. You can't have a f'n olive branch without being at war before.
Therefore, I am calling in a truce at least from myself to Fred supporters.
I don't care if I'm banned anywhere really. I think I was banned at Freerepublic.com for saying one damn positive thing about Paul and one of Fred, but it's their site and it's technically up to them who they want to invite to their 'party', and they'll cry if they want to.
But we have a serious issue here, I'm seeing a few moderators at Freerepublic now saying that ROMNEY is a fiscal conservative?!?!
Romney, Mr.Universal Healthcare in Mass, RINO.
I mean, come on. - phenry, on 01/22/2008, -4/+5Oops! Sorry red666, accidentally dugg you up... Hope you get better government than you deserve!
- Humptydank, on 01/23/2008, -2/+3If he's your second choice, I'd hate to see what you say about your third. More is below, but by all means everyone, don't let this interfere with the sense of inclusiveness that Ron Paul supporters have always brought to people who don't support him:
"Why would Thompson debate Huckabee? Huckabee is destroyed since the debate after he went for Ron Paul and lost. The real 1v1 debate should be Thompson v. Ron Paul, but Thompson is a p#ssy so he won't."
"every time Giuliani says 9/11 take a shot of vodka every time Fred Thompson talks drink some irish coffee (to wake you up)"
"Did you hear that the Numa Numa kid just endorsed Fred Thompson! WOW! Now Fred Thompson surely is going to win the internets."
"The writer of this article is spot on, McCain, Guiliani, Romney, and now Thompson are gutless wonders. If they don't have the conviction and integrity to answer people's questions they certantly don't have the balls to face down the terrorists." - soulmantim, on 01/23/2008, -0/+1Man, that sucks bingo, I didn't even know there was a trollhunters.org
I personally dispize it when someone tries to make a database of people, so I'm on your side here.
It's not fair for you, you have freedoms to have your own opinion as much as I have to prove that some of yours may be wrong.
That's freedom, it's the freedom of opinion and you have yours and I have mine.
I back mine with facts and truth.
I won't even dignify daEvan's link to that website that goes directly to your profile, it's not right. - GoatRoper, on 01/22/2008, -3/+4I disagree with all aspects of the Iraq war as well but I am realistic enough to know that RP can and will never be able to do anything about it.
- GoatRoper, on 01/22/2008, -3/+4Really? "Pointless" AND "Useless", well I guess I am making headway.
"Pointless"; throwing money at a guy with not a chance in hell of being president. Money that could be used in much better places than with a wannabe presidential candidate.
"Useless"; Becoming a RP supporter. Talk about a useless organization. Get a group of people together in the hopes of making more people join a directionless organization. It is like the Washington General's fan club.
But please, tell me about how Florida is going to go. - Hortnon, on 01/22/2008, -6/+7Thompson supporters, pay attention. Phenry and Craiggroshek are perfect examples of the kind of people that support Ron Paul.
- soulmantim, on 01/23/2008, -0/+1Ok, you want me to go down the line, let's go:
1.Someone made a statement about how they would like to see Huck v. Thompson debate, it would be boring, Huck would go "Jesus Jesus Jesus" and Fred would call him out as a Democrat (which is what basically happened) Fred never really went up against Paul, did he? All I remember Fred doing was repeat what Paul said one time, but that wasn't really debating.
2. What's wrong with waking up a little bit? You didn't see the room of seniors that were falling asleep when Fred was talking? If my main criticism of the Thompson campaign is that he wasn't active enough, wasn't trying hard enough, that's where I stand. It wasn't about his policy, it was about his campaign. I'm allowed to do that, aren't I? I don't know if it was the media or if it was just the way the campaign was run.
3. Actually I liked the Numa Numa kid rip, it was more a rip on how Chuck Norris endorsed Huck than about Fred. I wanted to bring up Fred because I didn't like Romney (Romney would simply buy the tubes and trucks of the internets and sell them for parts). In fact, I was on the fake forum for Fred Thompson and made a few jokes about it. But I think the only thing I was critical of was the energy of the campaign. I could be wrong.
4. Thompson came into the race late, he really was silent up until the SC primaries (dude, how could you forget, it just happened!)
I tell you though, my opinion of him did a 180 when he called out Huckabee. And that last speech about protecting our states rights was golden, it was just a little too late.
Anyway, yes, I was critical of Fred, but only in the manner of what I honestly felt.
Therefore, please dig up some more of my quotes, I personally find it an honor that you would do so. I think some of them are pretty funny actually. That being said, I did hear a rumor that Fred's mother is ill, and even though I am mostly Atheist I will pray for her. I hope Fred's mom gets better. Remember, Olive branch doesn't mean that I am totally innocent in being critical. - Kangalanatolian, on 01/22/2008, -3/+4The case comes down to the "war".
Thanks to this prison camp/police action in Iraq, our sons will be trained as checkpoint charlies, making sure we all have our papers in the new Amerika. He is a good kid. You just let her hang out with the wrong crowd. Blackwater, the new peace corp. (of course they mean well, but...)
We could have stopped the 50 million more illegal aliens creating entirely mexican communities inside the US. Instead we protected America from the other side of the world, according to the master strategerist.
The constitution is on fire. Please help us put it out. - inactive, on 01/23/2008, -2/+2HILARIOUS! You'vebeen mocking Fred Thompson supporters for the last several months and now you are desperately tryin to get their approval.
- inactive, on 01/23/2008, -2/+2Fresh from the WorldNetDaily page. CLASSIC!
And with that, sir, you have lost all credibility that you had left. - soulmantim, on 01/23/2008, -1/+1That's why he was my 2nd choice dingbat. Yes he defended Asbestos Corps, but he was also for actually securing our borders and states rights overall. He matched what my views about 70% of the time, Paul is about 85%.
Check yer facts. I also said the following, on dailypaul.com.
I don't care what you guys may say about him, but his last speech in South Carolina brought a tear to my eye.
F#cking douchebag Humpty, you're just like the media, looking for the "GOTCHA" statement.
You're lucky I decided to come back to this thread to set you f'n straight. - Kangalanatolian, on 01/22/2008, -3/+3Ok, this is fresh from the WorldNetDaily opinion page. You should go there to read the whole thing, but...
"Nevertheless, there is no doubt that Ron Paul, Mike Huckabee and Fred Thompson are each infinitely better men than Giuliani, Romney and McCain."
"But if you want to defend yourself against the kind of creeping decline we've experienced as a nation in the last 20 years, my strong advice is to defeat Giuliani, Romney and McCain – as well as Hillary and Obama."
I am confused about his support for Huckabee, but perhaps he just likes the pastorial style. In any case, it would be pretty easy to find all of the big government, and illegal alien supporting programs that Mike Huckabee has brought upon Arkansas, if you just snoop a little.
If you choose to believe that Ron Paul is a racist at this point, then that is simply what you want to believe, and a year from now you might begrudgingly say "well, I guess not then". But that will be too late for the constitution. - Humptydank, on 01/23/2008, -1/+1That's all great, I'm just pointing out the absurdity of it.
It's like if I, after Ron Paul drops from the race, post an article, "I, Humptydank, would like to extend an olive branch to all the Ronbots out there. It's time for us to come together..." That would be hilarious.
You have by no means been as big a dick about it as I have, but we both long ago crossed the line where we can just show up in the opposing camp, whip out our olive branch, and expect them to just grab it without a second thought. - ostracize, on 01/22/2008, -3/+3Too bad the majority of Thompson supporters will not see this.
- inactive, on 01/23/2008, -2/+1The hysterical part is that you think that any of htem will want to nbe ANYTHING like you. no one on this planet will EVER want to be like you. Ever. You are the type of person that everyone else mocks.
In case you haven't noticed from the failed money bomb on Monday, Ron Paul is LOSING support. not gaining it. People have realized that he has no shot and are not going to waste time and money anymore. - GoatRoper, on 01/22/2008, -7/+6Look at you sorry SOBs tear into Reed after saying you wanted to put your differences behind you. Typical whack jobs, extend an olive branch then beat the guy with it.
- craiggroshek, on 01/22/2008, -8/+6Rot in hell, Reed. You are NWO boot-licking scum, you traitor. Enjoy your slavery.
- chaosium, on 01/23/2008, -4/+1Enjoy your neuroleptics.
