    Congress spends more money than we have (deficit-spending). And then the Federal Reserve prints up money to buy the debt (Treasury securities). That printing of money reduces the value of the dollar.

    Guess what the job of the Federal Reserve is? Price stability. But answer me this: how can you have stable prices when the value of the currency (dollars) keeps going down?
