- yuukanna, on 10/10/2007, -4/+62What a Dick.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -5/+59"He was not Vice President at the time." What the hell kind of pathetic excuse is that?? Now that he IS vice president, he clearly knew the dangers of invading Iraq, but lied to the public and said we'd be greeted as liberators! What a ***** bastard.
- Fogdelune, on 10/10/2007, -2/+43What would 2007 Dick Cheney say about 1998 Dick Cheney, who said that "Rising gas prices are a sign of a failed presidency"?
Oh, and gas was about $1.98 then. - eternal, on 10/10/2007, -2/+29I swear, everyone in the government has become spineless and selfish.
- Lister169, on 10/10/2007, -4/+19"What should we do tonight, Dick?"
"The same thing we do every night, Georgie...try to take over the world!" - ButterBuddha, on 10/10/2007, -6/+19He's a ***** FLIP FLOPPER !!!! a ***** treasonous flip flopper......
- Nick22, on 10/10/2007, -0/+12I guess like everyone in america isnt a real american then, since they are doing ***** all.
And what are YOU doing to change things? - cocoamix, on 10/10/2007, -5/+169-11 changed everything.
By everything, that includes the need to justify anything you have have ever said or done before, during, or after 9-11. - Rahodeb, on 10/10/2007, -1/+12In other words, he wasn't obligated to lie in 1994. glad to see it didn't turn out to be a quagmire.
- nblsavage, on 10/10/2007, -3/+13If times change why is it that the things he said would happen are happening?
- briansearles, on 10/10/2007, -2/+10+1 story about Cheney being a tard.
- Wargalas, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8Kriss Kross is an abomination that shall never be spoken of here again.
- atticus8, on 10/10/2007, -4/+11Was I gone that season in school where it was trendy and popular to invade the foreign, sovereign land of another country who has not attacked your citizens? Did I miss the day that became "uncool"? I thought it was always "uncool". I bet the (at least) 30,000 dead Iraqi citizens + 3,000 dead American citizens think it's "uncool". And I bet that is because optional, incompetently-run wars-of-choice against the incorrect opposing force are, almost by definition, an ethical disaster zone, a true crime against humanity on a massive scale.
We're talking crimes against humanity here, you are talking about ***** Kriss Kross. You are what the bury button is for. - nblsavage, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6And? The things he said in 1994 that would happen are happening.
- FredoBerfil, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5What difference does 6 or 7 years make? He predicted it would be a quagmire, and it's a quagmire. To date, Dick Vader has never explained why he didn't take his own previous advice.
- shaelen, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Do you somehow believe that the people in ANY country would welcome an outside occupation regardless of what that occupying force was claiming its reason for occupying? If China invaded the United States claiming it is *liberating* us from President Bush and his corrupt band of criminals, do you think everyone in this country would settle down and say "Thank GOD the communists are here to straighten things out!"? No, people would be teaching their children that it's for the good of humanity and God if they build roadside bombs to blast the Chinese military trucks off the roads. The only thing occupying another country will do is cause the occupied to do whatever they can to get the invader out. It would be no different here than it is there as far as how we would react.
Things have been made far worse by the United States going into Iraq than they would be if we had stayed out. It's not about bringing peace or stabilization to that region, it's about having CONTROL over everyone else, even if it means attacking a country that decides it doesn't want to be controlled. - DOCKAUF55, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7it's a shame, he seemed like such a smart guy back in 94
- GorfTron, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Just wait till you get a load of Dick Cheney 2525.
- SuperCUBE, on 10/10/2007, -4/+8This is why I want to migrate to Canada and teach there instead of in the States.
- greenm1981, on 10/10/2007, -3/+7Ron Paul doesn't want to restore the Constitution
- cryptomystic, on 10/10/2007, -2/+6Arkon24 wins for dumbest comment of the day. congrats
- blueluigi, on 10/10/2007, -2/+6Too bad 2007 Cheney can't go back to the future and warn 1994 Cheney not to contradict himself in 2000. Or something.
- Ramble, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5"You don't know Dick"
- earthling3000, on 10/10/2007, -3/+6Why they did not find these videos before the last election? Talk about flip-flopping!
- Herv3, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4A cosmic dick
- geekee, on 10/10/2007, -6/+9Yes absolutely nothing in the world about Iraq changed from 1994 to 2003. I'm not interested in defending Cheney, but he does have a point. He should have listened to his own advice, however, since a quagmire is still a quagmire, even if its more worth it in your opinion to invade.
- hiikeeba, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Politicians flip flop all the time. One day they're for this, the next day it's bad. I don't understand why Lefties and Righties get so orgasmic when they catch the folks they disagree with in lies. Politicians lie. That's what they do.
- shaelen, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Iraq wasn't attacking every neighboring country and trying to take over the world. Iraq was a weakened country that had little possibility of doing harm to anyone around it, much less the United States. Germany, France, and Italy weren't countries just sitting there being accused of having weapons of mass destruction and being called liars because they couldn't prove they didn't have them. How do you prove you don't have something, anyway?
Are the Americans an "occupying" force not welcomed in Germany, Italy and France? Are we controlling them with armored vehicles and soldiers of fortune (contractors)?
The people of Iraq, and the world, are worse off because of our actions, and they tired of our presence there. The United States has no plan of ever leaving the area, and this is where the problem begins for those who blame the U.S. for the hell they are living in now. - gingerbreadcat, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4SuperCUBE: That's not the solution. You've got to stay and tough it out. You ARE in the majority, in spite of what some would want you to believe.
- MattCruikshank, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Fine, define quagmire.
And while you're at it, you are forbidden to use phrases such as "no exit strategy," "violence is increasing," "flagging support back home," "justification turned out to be forged or flawed", and "they want us to leave." - sahaskatta, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2"Even Dick don't know Dick" (aired like 2-3days ago)
- aadnk, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3He should have informed about the possibility of an quagmire, though.
- gingerbreadcat, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3No, this is a new video response to respond to the VP's non-response. What's on second? Third base!
(Translated: Someone found another video that shows he was still saying the same things in 2000.) - rehwaldt, on 10/10/2007, -0/+29/11 was a terrorist act committed by a small group of religious zealots. Is anyone honestly afraid that this could happen again? Those terrorists would have their asses kicked and possibly killed before the plane could land at the nearest airport. 9/11 is used by the neocons to scare the American people into submission.
- WhiteRaven, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Of coruse things are worse *now*. The homicidal maniacs that have been warped by an absurd and violent dogma are not going to simply give up because we are making a move against them. These are not the mythical bullies of after school specials that are cowardly wimps at heart. Things have been made worse because we are confronting danger. That's the nature of reality. One can not beat an enemy without fighting an enemy... and they will fight back. That's why they are called the enemy.
We are actually looking forward for a change. We are making an investment NOW to avoid greater cost later. LOOK AT THE WORLD. Is there any corner of the globe where radical Muslims are not waging war against liberty? From Europe to Africa to southeast Asia, everywhere you look there are bombs and beheadings and it's constantly getting worse. HOW DO YOU SUGGEST WE STOP IT?.
Cut out it's spiritual heart and the extremities will die in time. - nblsavage, on 10/10/2007, -3/+5yeah...good thing he did huh? Otherwise we would have been stuck in a quagmire.....oops
- briansearles, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Old news, unfortunately.
- geekee, on 10/10/2007, -3/+5The concept of analogy is clearly lost on you. Don't respond to his comment in a separate thread, wither.
- homoplasmate, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Dude that's whiggity whiggity whiggity whiggity whack.
- rehwaldt, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2OK, now can we finally impeach this guy, Congress grow some balls and obtain the top secret oil industry meeting with Dick, discover how the oil industry pricks thought it would be a good idea to secure American oil interests in the Middle East and then impeach the bastard and throw him in jail right next to Jose Padilla.
- biotch, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3IF it isnt a quagmire then why are we still there?
- batshitcrazy, on 10/10/2007, -3/+5the public has proven that we're apathetic and complacent with their lies, so why would our leaders do anything different? things are going very well for the elite.
- BowieX, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3quagmire:-
2. n, An indefinite period of fiscal prosperity for wartime contractors. - CourtesyFlush, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3I'm no Republican, but I find this speech by Al Gore interesting. Watch as he complains about the numerous diplomatic steps taken toward Iraq and the inaction against their support of terrorism.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9JE48XHKG64
Interestingly enough, this speech was given before he was Vice President.
It seems both parties have had much trouble making up their minds over the past decade or so. It also seems the open minds of Digg want to focus on only half of the cases.
Politics suck. Blind loyalty to a bloated, controlling political party sucks. If you only pay attention to the ***** ups of one side or the other, you suck as well. - rehwaldt, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4You know I seem to recall another effort of this sort that failed, the Crusades. You cannot impose Western thoughts and values to the Muslim world through military conquest.
- nakani, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Jump! Jump!
- nblsavage, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4The story is that he knew what would happen and did it anyway. Or are you saying that we aren't in a quagmire in Iraq?
- ukko, on 03/13/2009, -0/+1You libtards can't stand to even acknowledge 9/11, let alone realize that it was part of an islamic war declared on the U.S. for decades! It rivaled Pearl Harbor in it's death total and smashed the U.S. economy. Do you remember anything? How old ARE you?
- natenovs, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1how about the bombing in Oklahoma? An Islamic student walked into the parking lot at a football game with a bomb strapped to him and blew himself up. thankfully no one else was killed. the truth is, there are "religious zealots" killing people all over the world, and people are dealing with them the best they can. the government and the media are doing the best they can to keep the masses from flipping out over every attack that happens. but what does that do? it makes everyone complacent and ignorant.
- ukko, on 03/13/2009, -0/+1Guess how much of his salary Dick Cheney gave to charity? 77 percent? Now, your icon, Obambi. Guess how much he gave? Less than one bloody percent! I think if you didn't know the names, you'd think the person who gave about 100 times as much to charity would be the more philanthropic person.
But you're blinded by Bush Derangement Syndrome. -
