Yes folks, this is one area where he agrees with Obama. This controversy is 100% fabricated out of thin air. - ChessPieceFace, on 11/03/2008, -17/+96More proof for the adage: "If the Republicans accuse someone of an act, then the Republicans are most likely committing that act."
- meese, on 11/03/2008, -13/+66Yet another do-as-I-say-not-as-I-do attack from the McCain campaign.
Thankfully there's only 1 more day of this. - Eiknujrac, on 11/03/2008, -12/+63I didn't think it was possible for ANOTHER attack to backfire right in the faces of McCain and Palin.
Congratulations John, every day is another pleasant surprise. - RuffBong, on 11/03/2008, -12/+47 " The McCain amendment will put coal out of business by forcing fuel switching to natural gas.
And John McCain's counter-argument:
Does it involve some sacrifice on the part of the American people? Yes. ... This amendment, I am sure, will be attacked--thousands of jobs will be lost,"
The big oil and natural gas industry are hand in hand controlling america through control of the republican party, repub presidents are pawn puppets for them.
People, it's time to take back our country. - Phluph, on 11/03/2008, -3/+36Rove's Law
- johnnr2, on 11/03/2008, -5/+35No.
- mommacat, on 11/03/2008, -11/+41hopefully this is one of the last rediculous attacks on obama by the comedy team of mcbush plain
- SheilaNoya, on 11/03/2008, -12/+42It's almost as if there is some kind of cosmic boomerang attached to every smear attack launched by McCain.
Every one of them circles back and smacks him right in the face. - ferroussoul, on 11/03/2008, -3/+32He who smelt it, dealt it?
- Nasturtium, on 11/03/2008, -12/+38Is it tomorrow yet???? Can we please, finally, elect a President we WANT to hear, watch, listen to, empathsize with - VOTE!!!! It is time for these sleazebags to DisAppear 4Ever!
- fishbeef33, on 11/03/2008, -7/+31Beware...the next 24 hours will be full of completely untrue smears about Obama, more vile than anything we've seen so far. FoxNews and the RNC know that there'll be no time to repudiate them before people go out and vote.
- booksnmore4you, on 11/03/2008, -5/+29A more authoritative adage there never was.
- booksnmore4you, on 11/03/2008, -6/+29ROFL!!! This is PATHETIC!
- kareemachan, on 11/03/2008, -7/+28I'm just amazed at the incompetence of McCain's handlers. I know they are desperate, but can't they think of ANYTHING that doesn't blow up in their faces? If I was in politics, I'd put these people on my "Never Hire" list.
- booksnmore4you, on 11/03/2008, -8/+25FOX News
- a media enterprise that is really a propaganda operation in which political figures are nothing more than character actors taking up space in FOX News' pre-ordained dramatic narrative.
Really, this smear ought be a watershed moment in the Great Uncovering and Unravelleing of FOX "News". - docjulia, on 11/03/2008, -8/+25Its starting to look like they are getting paid by Saturday Night Live to provide material so they don't have to write it themselves.
- tracygav, on 11/03/2008, -7/+21McCain-Drudge-FOX axis of weasel.
- miladyfair, on 11/03/2008, -6/+19Got love it - they can't even vet their attacks, much less their attack dog.
- xilduq, on 11/03/2008, -1/+14Ok, thanks for playing. We have a lovely parting gift for you.
- inactive, on 11/03/2008, -10/+21UNFORTUNATELY, the HuffPo article referencing the Jed Report was also submitted. Is someone from HuffPo paid to repeatedly submit articles to Digg?
Enough with the HuffPo, people! Just submit the actual source of info. - psdabfm, on 11/03/2008, -8/+18So ... because Obama will bankrupt the coal industry and McCain supports similar cap-and-trade policies, the title of this article is "McCain will put coal out of business"? Obama actually said in that interview that electricity rates will have to necessarily skyrocket. This is the same psycho-environmentalist thought process that has led to our continuing decline in domestic oil production. The only difference between these two men is that I doubt McCain will actually live up to a cap-and-trade system where as Obama will insist on it being implemented.
Obama expects sources which currently only supply us with 1% of our energy to magically supply all of our energy. Of course we'll have to do this with government investments, but since when does the government have any right to invest money on behalf of tax payers? If you support renewable energy, you're free to invest your own money. - inactive, on 11/03/2008, -2/+12Wowsers. Your rights end where mine begin. Don't I have a right to clean air? If you put something in the air that harms me, how is that not a violation of my personal rights?
- qwertyxuiop, on 11/03/2008, -0/+9That's two words genius :p
- asgardshill, on 11/03/2008, -9/+17ust remember - every time you expose another of McCain's lies, another Freeper's blood pressure goes up 5 points. Its like watching human thermometers in the Sahara Desert - eventually, POP!
- cmootoo, on 11/03/2008, -3/+11Gotta love it that every anti-Obama digg user is now a fortune teller.
- inactive, on 11/03/2008, -3/+10Um, from what? McCain just attacked himself - which I must admit, is pretty Mavericky, but not exactly a sound strategy to win an election.
- Arishia, on 11/03/2008, -8/+15I'm rubber, you're glue. :p (That is for Rachael)
- geraldwhite, on 11/03/2008, -6/+13Has this been sent to the media yet? It's not about we know everyone needs to know this, they are sending robo calls in PA etc with this BS... we need to get the word out.
- eagee, on 11/03/2008, -6/+13Wow, the McCain campaign has been such a train wreck. I'm not sure which is sadder, how poorly his campaign has been handled, or the people who are still voting for him.
- Gemfinder, on 11/03/2008, -13/+19Crap. That's what I get for cruising Digg at 3 in the morning.
I thought this was another "Obama = Coal Shutdown" and buried it...
Sorry :( - Samurai77, on 11/03/2008, -1/+7I agree, nuclear is a better option and if we adopt the spent fuel rod recycling program the French use, we'd have a lot less waste to get rid of. (Be we have laws to prevent that, 30 y.o laws at that.)
They reuse 97% of the used rod. Amazing. - TotalDouche, on 11/03/2008, -7/+13I saw all over Fox News this morning that "Obama will bankrupt the Coal Industry". Nothing about McCain....
Typical. - Ljay90, on 11/03/2008, -4/+10Well, that's the point. McCain-Fox-Drudge all said that Obama admitted he would bankrupt the coal power industry, even though McCain's position is in principle the same. This is actually par for the course for McCain-Palin, EVERYTHING they have accused or attacked Obama on they've been just as if not more guilty of themselves. It's very mavericky of them.
- inactive, on 11/03/2008, -5/+11"Clean" coal technology is a fallacy that does not exist.
- meese, on 11/03/2008, -4/+10I agree that Coal should be phased out. That's not the point here. The point is that the McCain/Palin campaign is attacking Obama for supporting the same policy toward coal that McCain himself supports.
And Drudge/FOX/Newsbusters all went with the spin and attacked Obama, as usual, instead of reporting that McCain and Obama have the same position on this. - randumbusername, on 11/03/2008, -0/+5i saw a guy with a similar slogan on the back window of this truck
"OBAMA/MCCAIN
WE'RE SCREWED EITHER WAY" - TSK05, on 11/03/2008, -2/+7"Can we please, finally, elect a President we WANT "
Sure, I am voting for McCain, you are too? - inactive, on 11/03/2008, -1/+6I agree, after tomorrow we can finally put this election ***** behind us, and start looking forward to 4 more years of massive failure from the government.
- insomniac8400, on 11/03/2008, -1/+6Not out of thin air. Out of Fox News.
- IllBeBack, on 11/03/2008, -0/+5Coal SHOULD be out of business. "Clean" coal is a joke. Let's build 500 nuclear power plants and power the entire country without any coal!
- inactive, on 11/03/2008, -1/+6I'd rather have clean energy raping me in the ass.
At least its clean. - Cadicus, on 11/03/2008, -0/+5Real Life has a Liberal Bias.
- PleaseJustDie, on 11/03/2008, -1/+5Wind energy isn't as viable as nuclear. If you ever drive on I-10 going into California from the Arizona you see huge wind farms where most of the wind turbines aren't working many are broken and damaged and it isn't cost effective to repair them.
Wind technology needs major leaps before it will be cost effective to just perform the maintenance required to keep them running. - qwertyxuiop, on 11/03/2008, -0/+4Slight edit:
Nuclear power plants on the moon generating hydrogen which we bring to earth via space elevators!!!
It could work and be AWESOME at the same time - rheaume, on 11/03/2008, -0/+4GET OUT VOTE TOMORROW!
BRING PEOPLE TO VOTE!!
Obama 08 - zenbud, on 11/03/2008, -1/+5Then don't complain about digg - its about time we had a voice for heaven's sake.
- jackieblu, on 11/03/2008, -2/+6OMG they are just making up ***** as they go!
- inactive, on 11/03/2008, -1/+5Never mind an apology, I'd settle for some links to back up those predictions. Oh wait, he can't link to his ass, cause that's where he pulled that out of.
