- Calann, on 01/03/2008, -5/+24518 months for undermining the process to determine the most powerful person in the most powerful country in the world? Apparently the court does not take our electoral process very seriously.
- blindhammer, on 01/03/2008, -2/+151One could argue that undermining the very foundation of the Constitution by instituting massive voter fraud is treasonous.
- inactive, on 01/03/2008, -8/+156But .... we're still stuck with the results. So what good is it? Looks like Bush lost the election fair and square. Why is he still in the white house?
- Nosnevets02, on 01/03/2008, -2/+101Seriously, voter fraud should be treated as high treason.

See here also. After a judge ordered the ballots to be preserved, they somehow ended up destroyed. This kinda limits further investigation of the matter! - Chunken, on 01/03/2008, -2/+57Awesome they get 18 months for giving the world 4 years.
- ordig, on 01/03/2008, -1/+47Give them multi billion dollar no-bid contracts?
- Rahodeb, on 01/03/2008, -4/+45Other than the "United States" part.
- ashmael, on 01/03/2008, -3/+42Isn't there something we do to treasonous traitors?
- inactive, on 01/03/2008, -4/+41Treason.
- greenm1981, on 01/03/2008, -3/+30It makes my day when idiots like you make comments on digg.
- ordig, on 01/03/2008, -5/+27Crime against the public = Public Hanging
- iching, on 01/03/2008, -5/+26It is election fraud not voter fraud....get your talking points straight.
- bizkit00, on 01/03/2008, -0/+21if jesus rode down on a unicorn, i would probably go somewhere to wait for my shroom trip to end.
- mlvassallo, on 01/03/2008, -1/+21Inaccurate. Jesus rides a winged velocaraptor.
- principle, on 01/03/2008, -1/+19Actually, it is “electoral fraud”.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Election_fraud - inactive, on 01/03/2008, -3/+21i would get up and punch you for saying that about me, but damn I am tired.
- deeboe, on 01/03/2008, -5/+21200?
- iainc, on 01/03/2008, -3/+19So what's the State of the Union speech all about then, *****?
- bbqsalad, on 01/03/2008, -3/+18Well said. So scary.
- zeiben, on 01/03/2008, -0/+15I remember the election of 200 well. So contentious. The praetorians and legionaries had a hard time keeping order, let me tell you....
- inhaler, on 01/03/2008, -2/+16How about asking the question, "could things have gotten any worse then they are now?"
- unicronband, on 01/03/2008, -0/+14Except he pulled in 59.9% of the vote next to Ed Herman's 33.7%, what most would call "not even close".
Happy trolling! - kaelyiesta, on 01/03/2008, -3/+16I don't think it needs to be argued much. It's obvious. These guys are guilty of undermining the very foundation of our republic and all they got was 18 months.
- MacEnvy, on 01/03/2008, -0/+12I have no problem with officially defining the current administration as "Enemies of the US". Who's with me?
- ajwinder, on 01/03/2008, -3/+15I'd blame americans, but in this case, I'm blaming Kerry. He conceded the election even while there were rampant reports of voter fraud in swing states, not just Ohio. The NAACP was conducting on-the-ground investigations of alleged racial discrimination. And Kerry hands the keys over to Bush. I'm sorry, it's his fault, he should have never been the candidate of the democratic party. At least Edwards wanted to fight it.

United States IS a union. - TheNepenthe, on 01/03/2008, -2/+14Seriously. NOW can we all get mad and start protesting? Please? No, we're going to sit on our asses and watch this next season of American Idol.
- AnarkeIncarnate, on 01/03/2008, -1/+12Screw a 15yr old with consent and get 10yrs. Screw a country in dissent and get 18 months. Where is the justice in that?
- gernblansted, on 01/03/2008, -0/+11FTA: 18 months is the max - the court did the best it could. The guys making the laws in congress are the ones who are so generous to criminals sh*ting on American Democracy.
- TheSabre, on 01/03/2008, -2/+13Not if you follow the Constitution's own guidelines for defining treason.
"Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in an open Court."
I'm not trying to downplay the severity of the crime here. Election fraud does undermine any type of democracy - representative or full. But Constitutionally, it is not treasonous as no one levied war against the United States or provided Aid and Comfort to the defined Enemies of the US. - Nougat, on 01/03/2008, -3/+13Don't talk smack about my digital cable. I finally got a DVR and let me tell you, it is AWESOME.

You diggtards are on the ball today. - martynda, on 01/03/2008, -3/+12So the peons are taking the fall instead of the person in charge? Hmm....
- TheSabre, on 01/03/2008, -1/+10Considering that this article is about the 2004 elections, that would be a pretty stupid T-shirt.
- Look4Truth, on 01/03/2008, -3/+12"Judge Says He Believes the Conspiracy Goes Higher..."
Um yeah, duh. It goes right to the very top where the NWO bankers play. - lydecker, on 01/03/2008, -2/+11Where?
- sleepwalkers, on 01/03/2008, -1/+9Sorry for the hijack, but has anyone else noticed that this was posted on 3/13/07?
- localzuk, on 01/03/2008, -1/+9Put them in power!
- CraigJ, on 01/03/2008, -2/+9FTA: The prosecutor did not claim the rigged recount affected the outcome of the election — Kerry gained 17 votes and Bush lost six in the county recount. So, what? They rigged it, but it didn't matter anyway?
- TopherT, on 01/03/2008, -0/+7If it isn't close exit polling will show serious discrepancies and the result will be called into question.
- Ndiggnation, on 01/03/2008, -1/+8Ah, I always wondered what that "in order to form a more perfect union" part was all about..

- insllvn, on 01/03/2008, -1/+7Yeah, but it is a rediculous one. I mean, really, how much longer are we going to take "God did it" seriously?
- principle, on 01/03/2008, -0/+6It is 18 months, because politicians do not plan to spend time in jail even when they are caught.
- haydesigner, on 01/03/2008, -2/+8How?
Seriously, how? -
