- thejimmyo, on 09/30/2008, -13/+1492Voter asking relevant question about a specific policy position = "gotcha journalism" by the evil liberal media.
- inactive, on 09/30/2008, -7/+1228These two appear far from presidential. They look like a nervous couple trying to get approved for a loan.
- marabout40, on 09/30/2008, -18/+1216Grandpa was there to chaperone.
Pathetic. - inactive, on 12/08/2008, -11/+822McCain thinks that's "gotcha journalism"? He's a bigger fool than she is.
Oh, geez, I can hear the complaints about "gotcha questions" in the debate already.
I need a valium. - kezia1, on 09/30/2008, -6/+621Wow he is hypocritical. "Lets all out Obama on his lack of experience!" Media calls out palin on lack of experience. "Lots of presidents did not have much experience!"
Uh... What? - BeeArePro, on 09/30/2008, -5/+468So damn painful to watch.. I almost feel sorry for McCain, and then again... No.
- Icebird, on 09/30/2008, -4/+420Yes, a graduate student is playing "Gotcha journalism". I guess its "Gotcha journalism" when you try to question the knowledge of a dangerous situation to a potential world leader which they would be presiding over. God forbid that they have actual insight into that situation.
I guess its just not important anymore to actually know anything about what you're running for these days. - niradg, on 09/30/2008, -3/+400He says Bill Clinton was inexperienced. Clinton was Governor of Arkansas for 12 years, which has six times the population of Alaska. Palin has been in office for 21 months.
- seddyei, on 09/30/2008, -4/+383Each successive appearance gets increasingly dismal from Palin. God only knows what the VP debate this Thursday will have in store for us.
- Shaggy3, on 09/30/2008, -0/+327It doesn't count when an ordinary citizen asks the question, especially when its in a pizza place.
- paintgrl, on 09/30/2008, -3/+315Wow it is like a huge train wreck. McCain was trying to compare Palin to Pres.Clinton of all things. OMG!!!
- Mininday, on 09/30/2008, -2/+301Watch his hands...he's just waiting for her to slip up.
- blakeisblake, on 09/30/2008, -2/+297Priceless!!! McCain treating Palin like she's his immature teenage daughter. I love her facial expression when Katie reminds them of the contradiction in their stance on crossing the Pakistan border. I wonder if he took her cell phone away and grounded her for the rest of the campaign.
I'm still in disbelief that this woman is running for the VP position of the United States of America. - inactive, on 09/30/2008, -6/+299And Joe Biden has to debate this babbling idiot.
- MoneyTutor, on 09/30/2008, -4/+238Conservative Republicans are moving to have Palin dismissed as a VP candidate. Looks like the party is coming to a screeching halt.
- SevenSheaves, on 09/30/2008, -5/+233So it was wrong of whoever PUBLISHED in the New York Times eight days before the invasion of Iraq:
"American armed forces will likely soon begin to disarm Iraq by destroying the regime of Saddam Hussein." and "Our armed forces will fight for peace in Iraq"?

Oops. That was John McCain. Sorry, I can't tell if I'm a constituent or a gotcha journalist. LMAO - z00k, on 09/30/2008, -8/+222Longest Youtube title, Ever.
- algaeturd, on 09/30/2008, -0/+190BRILLIANT analogy. It's true. They don't even have confidence in themselves..how in the ***** do republicans have any kind of faith in these turds?
- roxgod666, on 09/30/2008, -5/+185So what have we learned so far about our fellow republicans:
A. They are hypocrites
B. They are liars
C: They are morons
Voting for these people is equivalent to voting for Bush all over again - r00fus, on 09/30/2008, -1/+162If you're not throwing softballs, McCain & Co. aren't swinging.
(Sarah needs to tee it up, too). - NyteStarNyne, on 09/30/2008, -0/+156I find it hilarious that he cut Palin off from answering her own questions, only to end it with "but i'll let Palin speak for herself".
- inactive, on 09/30/2008, -4/+160Look at McCain's hands! He's so nervous!
- inactive, on 09/30/2008, -2/+157hey wasn't she in Fargo?
- anonblog2008, on 09/30/2008, -5/+155McCain looks like her elderly Dad protecting his daughter...in fact, he could be her father.
- sangosimo, on 09/30/2008, -2/+151pop-pop says I can go outside today
- nchenu, on 09/30/2008, -0/+145Whenever a camera is on Palin it is 'Gotcha Journalism'.
- inactive, on 09/30/2008, -1/+132LOAN REJECTED
- NWTerriD, on 09/30/2008, -0/+124I really wish he'd stop playing with his wedding ring every time he's near her.
Ick. I mean, really. Just ICK. - EggNogIceCream, on 09/30/2008, -2/+122Where is Grandpas Flag Lapel pin? Must be a terrorist.
/s - weech, on 09/30/2008, -1/+119dude how the ***** did couric get another interview after the last train wreck? even with grandpa around, i would think anyone with half a ***** brain cell in his campaign would not let her get back with 'hard-hitting' (haha) journalist Katie Couric.
Did Palin walk away from her last interview with Katie Couric thinking she was the *****?
I can just see Palin walking away after the last disaster, probably thinking to herself.... "NAAAILED ITT! Bring on the rest....shore up the economy...lipstick...ready on day one!"
WTF? - WestonP, on 09/30/2008, -2/+114I thought Obama was supposed to be the "elitist"?
- sourwood, on 09/30/2008, -0/+100Holy *****! That is exactly what it looks like.
- inactive, on 09/30/2008, -3/+98if you watch it twice and listen more closely the second time, it gets much worse.
- SevenSheaves, on 09/30/2008, -2/+97I wish he'd have explained why its OK to say things 'off the cuff" and "to a constituent" that shouldn't be construed as policy.
He's saying it's OK to lie to voters? - inactive, on 09/30/2008, -1/+94Pew Pew Pew!
- sammyjames, on 09/30/2008, -4/+97Ms. Palin did nothing to allay concerns that real conservatives have about her. Couric asked her "are you prepared"? The proper response to such a question is NOT "yes." The proper response is to say -- "Yes -- and here is HOW I'm prepared," while ticking off the reasons how and why she is prepared.
She clearly has no experience as a salesperson, notwithstanding that she was able to pitch her candidacy successfully twice in Alaska. Let me compare it this way: I used to "sell clothes" at J.C. Penney -- working in the men's casual department. Selling casual menswear at J.C. Penney is like selling burgers to people who go to McDonald's -- you don't have to sell anything. The merchandise sells itself. IF you really want to get a taste for competition, try to become a salesperson at Tiffany's.
Sarah Palin is trying to sell fine jewelry at a store like Tiffany's; she isn't even making her draw -- let alone make a commission.
I pray for our country. I hope that there are enough of us who are WISE enough to defeat this horrible ticket in November. - metapop, on 09/30/2008, -2/+93anyone notice the blatant sloppy editing done around 2:30? i want to see the entire interview before it was scrubbed. maybe this is innocent, perhaps someone who knows a bit about film editing can explain this, but i suspect palin made a whoopsie that had to be taken out.
- randomerratum, on 09/30/2008, -0/+89...and I can't ***** wait to see it!
- Baconbuyer, on 09/30/2008, -0/+87Apparently when someone (not a journalist, even) askes a relevant question and you screw up the answer due to your own ignorance or the fact that your handlers haven't briefed you properly, it counts as 'gotcha journalism'. More panicky intellectual dishonesty from McCain/Palin.
Yeah, the 'coming in for a loan' analogy is perfect. Presendential? Heck no. - elkiwi, on 09/30/2008, -0/+86He's very proud of the excitement she's generating in this election. I think that sums it up.
- brianjlowry, on 09/30/2008, -1/+85I've noticed that when he opens his mouth, he seems to be lying.
http://www.instantrimshot.com/ - Asheis, on 09/30/2008, -2/+86Wow.. look how frightened they both seem! Do they think that this is going to change that terrible interview? they're certainly mistaken!
- algaeturd, on 09/30/2008, -5/+87The puppet and the puppeteer. I wonder how he gets that hand so far up her ass that he can make her lips look like they're moving.
- ibenny, on 09/30/2008, -1/+81Wow! That was a terrific analogy.
Couldn't have said it better myself. - inactive, on 09/30/2008, -0/+80Are people not watching this kind of clip???? I mean, why aren't Palin's numbers even lower?
- bongfarmer, on 09/30/2008, -1/+79IS McCain going to hold her hand during the VP debates
Oh its gotcha journalism, and no, I won't admit I made a mistake, and no I don't think saying the exact opposite thing is a contradiction
The defense, and their entire argument AND position, is ridiculous - skeletor3000, on 09/30/2008, -0/+77"In what respect... Katie?"
- inactive, on 09/30/2008, -1/+78Wow. This clip is hilarious. Can you see how scared McCain is of what she might say, while they are sitting there? Gotcha journalism? I haven't seen that much nervous half-laughter between two candidates in a long time.
Non affoga colui che cade in acqua, ma affoga chi male incappa.
/she may drown on Thursday... - Schmich, on 09/30/2008, -2/+72At around 2.30 she's like "Oh! Oh! I've prepared for this question (of course after a re-do) Ask it quicker! I know, I know this! Oh you're taking too long I'll start answering it already"
-and I'm curious to hea..
-Well not only am I ready etc.
...
McCain thinks "aww that's my granddaughter" and then goes on to smirk talking. - inactive, on 09/30/2008, -2/+71LOL
