- AlaskaLoneWolf, on 10/27/2008, -15/+129The whole name-calling, flip usage of 'socialism' as a swear-word, and off-topic rants about who will be worse as President, is getting really, really old. If they want my vote, they should stick to their own agenda, explain their plan for our country. Argue from the platform and stick to the actual issues... but sadly, it must be too much to ask for, since most of the time they revert to playing sound-bites in an attempt to argue 'the better of two evils' ideology. Then there's the whole race/gender card thing that I'm completely sick of... for me, November can't get here fast enough.
- algaeturd, on 10/28/2008, -18/+63Let's do this, people. There's no excuse for not getting out and volunteering, going door to door, voter transportation or the last minute donation. This is the home stretch and we've ALL gotta go full steam ahead with this thing. Sleep when it's over....there is work to be done in every city of every state. There ARE things you can do. Get in touch with your local headquarters and ask how you can help or what you can do to volunteer. Every place needs it and if you have the time or the money, DO WHAT YOU CAN. And do it from today until they're done counting the votes. PLEASE. Every little bit helps.
- stevenr21, on 10/28/2008, -10/+52i think it is hilarious how neo cons constantly refer to obama as barry or barack HUSSEIN obama. i think it immediately discredits whatever nonsense you're about to spew from your fingers.
no one likes you, go away. - fishbeef33, on 10/27/2008, -12/+48Um, I think you might be confusing "Barry's" plans for what's been going on for the last eight years. Is Bush a socialist??!! GASP!
- jwolcott, on 10/28/2008, -5/+40Vote! Vote! Vote!
Otherwise you're part of the problem, and not the solution. - dfross, on 10/28/2008, -3/+36America really needs to get it right this time. Three strikes and you're out.
Not to actively condone whoever the Democrats fielded the last 2 times, but really, electing Dubya twice?
All this election has revealed so far is that there are a lot of americans who are racist, or xenophobic, or fundamentalist christians, or generally small-minded and downright scary. Question is, are there more of those than there are sensible, tolerant people in the country?
This is no longer about Republican values or Democratic values. Both of those are perfectly rational standpoints. But one side has some pretty close ties to pro-war, pro-life (or should I say, anti-choice), fundamentalist people and organisations.
Please get it right this time. - DrunkenSavior, on 10/28/2008, -3/+32If you spent your time listening to each side, and then vote, you are voting for America, regardless of who you eventually vote for.
- dradik, on 10/28/2008, -3/+32I really think you should listen to Obama speak sometime, he clearly lays out his plans for the country; and if by chance you have a problem finding out what he wants to do you can always go here:
Here's the short and skinny

Here is the in depth look.

- inactive, on 10/28/2008, -2/+25America stands for guns, douchebaggery and treating giant corporations better than the general population?
- john2kx, on 10/28/2008, -3/+25If by "liberal", you mean they are fear-mongering, religion-exploiting chickenhawks, then yes, they certainly are more "liberal" than classic conservatives.
- pagit, on 10/28/2008, -21/+43there is even more work for him to do in the next 4 years
'McCain said that in the Obama campaign, change means "taking your money and giving it to someone else."'
and McCain wants to take your money and give it to big business and himself
Canada for Obama! - inactive, on 10/28/2008, -2/+23And that's why Kerry lost in 2004. Nobody was pro-Kerry - they were simply anti-Bush. I said going into this election that if McCain doesn't give people a reason to support him outside of opposition to Obama, he's gonna get his ass handed to him. And lo and behold, he did. Sure, the race isn't over, but McCain's already lost - even if he takes the election, the fact that he struggled so much against an up-and-coming nobody is really telling.
- BrendanSheehan, on 10/28/2008, -26/+47Ireland for Obama!
- inactive, on 10/28/2008, -4/+23I like how the only points you guys have is literally right off Faux News talking points.
Not one of you cares about the issue, instead you say key words like 'socialist, marxist'.
Well you know what?
The majority of American's don't ***** care if he is a Marxist or Socialist.
And in a country that is based on revolution, nothing is "Un-American". - sphoony, on 10/28/2008, -2/+21poprockasandsoda,
what crap. i've seen your postings before and you are not a person who actually reasons. you take republican talking points and you push them to lunacy. - ChristmasPoo, on 10/28/2008, -2/+21Vote McCain support continued outsourcing.
Vote McCain support the companies that are outsourcing more jobs overseas.
Vote McCain support taxes on health benefits.
Vote McCain support the conservative agenda that's been going on for the past 16 years.
Vote McCain continue with "No Child left behind"
Vote McCain continue spending 12 Billion in spending in Iraq
Vote McCain and allow the Taliban to become stronger.
Vote McCain and continue with Bush's foreign policy agenda. Persuading long time allies to turn away from us.
Vote McCain and continue to "Drill baby Drill" and ignore the the current energy crisis.
Vote McCain and continue to ignore the dilemma facing social security
Vote McCain and continue to ignore the dilemma facing the millions of uninsured families.
Vote McCain and allow our children to have less opportunity then their parent's - Elranzer, on 10/28/2008, -0/+17@oakley: Unlike you guys, who don't know what the word "liberal" means, yet you throw it around like it's an insult (hint: it isn't), we know know what the word neocon means. I'm guessing you don't though, you just think it's another insult like "liberal."
- Elranzer, on 10/28/2008, -4/+20Hint: All of Western society is socialist. Europe is, Canada is, Australia is, and the United States has been since taxes have started. If you don't like it, you can go move to Africa or Saudi Arabia.
What we chose to spend our social funding (taxes) on does not make us more or less socialist. Spending public funds on health care is no more or less socialist than spending public funds on roads or policemen. Spending public funds on WAR is neither patriotic or capitalist, it's imperialistic.
Socialism is not incompatible with capitalism. In fact, socialism requires capitalism to even be socialism. Socialism without capitalism is communism. - remando, on 10/28/2008, -3/+19Why are so many americans so afraid of Socialism, Marxism, Comunism...they're just other ways to run a society, with its pros and cons, just like Capitalism. I can understand someone not agreeing with them but they're not an army of red devils about to control our minds. America is not going to change overnight into something different and terrifying nor is anyone taking any money away from 6 or 7 figure paychecks to give it to the poor. Stop oversimplifying to convey a message of fear.
- inactive, on 10/28/2008, -3/+18haha! I love it! Once BO wins on Nov 4th, I'm gonna run around town telling all the bigots what they always say:
If you don't like it, you can giiiiiit out!
PS. I hope he paints the white house black just to piss you off some more. - inactive, on 10/28/2008, -4/+19Ah, the politics of fear. "If you don't elect me the world will explode!!!"
- inactive, on 10/28/2008, -5/+20Yeah I gotta say man, you took a long 8 year nap, and are now waking up to something outrageously better than what we've been dealing with. Call the last years fascism or socialism, whatever you want to call it, Obama's plans are WAY better for this country.
- frygar, on 10/28/2008, -2/+16If McCain had anything worthwhile to contribute to the future of America, then yes, he would have been dugg up. But he's offering nothing, save for the same failed economic policies, more wars, and theocratic hogwash. You criticize socialism (which Obama does not support) for never having worked; surprise, guess what else never works? Trickle-down economics.
Palin has absolutely no experience, and given her treatment of wildlife in Alaska, I shudder to think as to how she'd handle human rights. Let's not forget she led a witch hunt with 200 individuals in her hometown - yes, an actual *witch* hunt - against one of her own citizens.
The reason they are not being shown in a positive light is because they have yet to show anything remotely positive for the country.
Obama / Biden '08
(and if you haven't already, you better get out there and vote, because the Right is once again counting on the rest of America's complacency) - duckley, on 10/28/2008, -1/+14Now.
TAKE YOUR FRIENDS out on 4 Nov (or earlier if possible) AND VOTE.
YOU have the responsibility to MAKE SURE everyone you know VOTES.
If we fail to vote: ... PRESIDENT SARAH PALIN.
Barf. - inactive, on 10/28/2008, -1/+13jonolan i would love to hear your definition of "American" and your explanation of what America is supposed to "stand for".
Whatever it is, i'm sure its complete *****. - Dropperbr, on 10/28/2008, -3/+15People like are killing this country, and make us look bad.
Be ashame of yourself racist! - inactive, on 10/28/2008, -3/+15Hey I'm not sure if you've realized this yet or not, but McCain's economic policy is more of Bush's economic policy, except McCain wants to cut taxes for Corporations even more. He 'says' that the less taxes they pay, the more employees they will hire, thus improving the economy.
What you aren't realizing, is that hasn't worked. Corporations suck up that extra money as we have seen for the last 8 years.
McCain has not pushed one SINGLE issue that I care about. Not one issue.
You must be deaf dumb and blind to think that McCain's policies will benefit the majority of American people. - umdigger, on 10/28/2008, -0/+10I voted yesterday... and nullified your vote.
- rockaffe, on 10/28/2008, -0/+10From Italy for Obama!
- heystoopid, on 10/28/2008, -0/+10Republican cognitive dissonance is on display again for all to see , unable to accept the plain truth for what it is , unable to move forward and still living in the self imposed rut of denial , so sad when you think about it .
Such is life , choose wisely to do the right thing because it is the right thing to do . - zeblith, on 10/28/2008, -5/+15"If you vote for Obama you are voting for a man who would say anything, do anything and pay any $ amount necessary to get the job for the sake of getting the job. John McCain truly loves America and Americans."
Hold on, hold on, you're confused. Here, I'll help you:
"If you vote for McCain you are voting for a man who would say anything, do anything and pay any $ amount necessary to get the job for the sake of getting the job. Barack Obama truly loves America and Americans."
There you go! No need to thank me. ;) - hoomi, on 10/28/2008, -0/+10My hope for US will be revived if Obama wins.
- algaeturd, on 10/28/2008, -21/+31Think about it...when's the last time you saw a story Dugg that was FOR McCain? That discussed how WELL he would deal with the economy or security or healthcare? THEY DON'T EXIST?
These idiots have the numbers and the drive to digg up Obama smear stories but not a one dugg up has been a story that talks about McCain's good characteristics. Or how he handled 'this' well or 'that' well with his voting record in Congress.
THIS IS ALL THEY HAVE! They attack Obama out of jealousy (or hatred). You rarely, RARELY ever hear a McCain supporter talking about how qualified and great he would be for the country. Doesn't that strike anyone else as strange? All we get is the same old, same old stories about how "obama did this!' or 'Obama said that!'
And that's just one of the reasons why McCain is losing big. Just one.
But one of serious note. When you're own 'supporters' are less of 'supporters' and more of raging right wing hit men to try to promote smears and lies, there are fundamental problems with your campaign.
But still, it's the best they can do, apparently. It seems they don't even TRY to make the argument that he's qualified or that he's not too old or too unhealthy...they never discuss how HIS tax plan will work well...simply how Obama's is socialism. Yes, lack of education affects different people in different ways. But these people really have decided that they're NOT pro-McCain...they are CLEARLY Anti-Obama.
And there's a HUGE fundamental difference there between the two. - Elranzer, on 10/28/2008, -2/+11Republican ≠ American
- inactive, on 10/28/2008, -3/+12Hey yojiffyskippy,
Give me your address and i'll send you the vast amount of money that you are going to pay out to others once Obama gets in.
Maybe you can make a few long distance phone calls with it or something. - inactive, on 10/28/2008, -0/+9Did you even listen to his closing arguments? There isn't a left and a right America, everyone in our country is as patriotic as the next person. Whether they're
Episcopalian (George Washington, F.D.R.), Irish Catholic (J.F.K.) or Jehovah's Witness (Eisenhower, for some time), or whatever religion they are, it shouldn't matter. If a Jewish person were to run for President, would you say they shouldn't because they're a Jew? No, because that would be offensive. Why is it any less offensive if Obama were a Muslim (which he is not) and people complained about him getting into office? This isn't a matter of political views, when you stoop to the levels of racism and bigotry it just makes every thing a whole lot uglier than it needs to be. - inactive, on 10/28/2008, -3/+12I love the haters in these digg threads. They truly show what the word "ignorance" means. Thanks for showing up folks, I get a kick out of showing my co-workers how retards type on the net. Fascinating
http://anncoulterisaretard.com/ - snotrokit, on 10/28/2008, -0/+9"McCain has a 40-year record of service that speaks for itself." You are right. 100% right. The sad part is that the McCain that is running for president right now, is NOT the same man with the 40 year record. He has become, ( either through his own actions, or the actions of others that he allowed,) a bitter nasty politician that is no longer able to speak about issues, speak about experience, speak about what he can do for this country. He (and his campaign) has fallen back to smear tactics, and Rovian politics. This clearly is NOT the McCain with the 40 year record.
- Brii, on 10/28/2008, -2/+11Don't bother explaining. They don't want to learn, they want to be fed "information" from Fox.
- CdnBacon, on 10/28/2008, -0/+8"I can take one more week of John McCain's attacks, but American can't take 4 more years of the same failed politics, of the same failed policies. It's time to try something new!"
Monumental speech from a monumental person. If only Canada had someone who cared about the little guy like you guys do. I will envy you guys when he wins!!! - dustrho, on 10/27/2008, -15/+23It was a great speech, 'nuff said.
- inactive, on 10/28/2008, -0/+8REAL Americans don't make a mockery of freedom and liberty as you have done right here, you sick *****.
- InfernoX, on 10/28/2008, -0/+8If the U.S economy gets weaker, ours does too. U.S is our biggest trading partner.
Besides, the leader of our strongest and closest ally still has an affect on us politically. - inactive, on 10/28/2008, -0/+7Wait, wait, wait....
102808...
Did you just call Obama supporters "under-educated"?
Is that what you said? Under-educated?
Wow, its pretty disturbing to see Rove politics at work. Ignorance is bliss, let me know how that works out for you. - repins, on 10/28/2008, -1/+9TOTALLY true, no matter how you vote....VOTE!
- argaen21, on 10/28/2008, -0/+8Damn you with your logic and facts and fancy words!
