- ironhide, on 04/30/2009, -4/+17You mean the loans that are getting paid back with interest?
- sheasie, on 04/30/2009, -7/+17According to Reuters, Associated Press and the Wall Street Journal, it's a USD3.4 Trillion budget. That said:
Obama 2010: $3.4 trillion (9% increase)
Bush: 2009: $3.1 trillion (7% increase)
Bush 2008: $2.9 trillion (4% increase)
Bush 2007: $2.8 trillion (4% increase)
Bush 2006: $2.7 trillion (13% increase) ***
Bush 2005: $2.4 trillion (4% increase)
Bush 2004: $2.3 trillion (5% increase)
Bush 2003: $2.2 trillion (10% increase)
Bush 2002: $2.0 trillion (5% increase vs. 2001)
*** biggest federal budget increase over the last decade - Alheithinn, on 04/30/2009, -1/+4...and which were, in any case, made necessary by Bush's failed economic policies - policies the Republicans, in all their wisdom* wish to put back in place.
* humor - inactive, on 04/30/2009, -1/+3Is it true that the military expenditures under Bush were in addition to his budgets?
- sheasie, on 05/02/2009, -0/+1Fine. In which case you have to include the added expenses of invading the middle east under Bush:
A) Obama Stimulus: $600 Billion - $1 Trillion (Depending on who you ask.)
B) Bush Wars: $1 Trillion - $3 Trillion (Depending on who you ask.)
At best, they cancel each other out. At worst, the Bush Administration simply gutted America (comparatively).
PS. How much of Obama's Stimulus is being spent/invested domestically vs. how much of Bush War budget was spent in foreign lands ? - inactive, on 04/30/2009, -2/+3wow. Way to spam.
- stonecircle, on 06/11/2009, -4/+5You do us real Conscientious Objectors a disservice, sir.
- anarchist101, on 05/01/2009, -2/+1Why is an opinion of what kind of leadership is needed to reverse our country's massive spending problem considered spam?
Did you even read the very short article?

State and defend your nebulous position. Or is it just not defensible? - RonPauls, on 04/30/2009, -11/+6yeah but you have to count the stimulus and all the bailouts
- anarchist101, on 04/30/2009, -14/+7This is truly a problem faced by all Americans.
The expansion of government has become a national cancer in the body of our (formerly?) great nation.
Most of our leaders and citizens seem to feel little pain or discomfort at present, despite the clarion calls of some who continue to watch in helpless horror as it slowly consumes us.
What is the cure?
Is there a doctor in the house?
http://www.campaignforliberty.com/ - LouisCipher777, on 04/30/2009, -15/+6There needs to be a movement in this country of people refusing to pay their taxes, until there is a sound fiscal policy. Call them "Conscientious Objectors".
