This man is everything that we have always appreciated in our greatest leaders: he thinks before he acts, he consults with partisan experts on both sides as well as nonpartisan experts. He suggests out-of-the box, balanced solutions. This man is a doer.
While McCain has been flailing around trying to find some kind of promise which resonates with the voters Obama has remained calm and he has been working with experts to come up with something to do now! While McCain has engaged in one of the most hate-filled campaign of fear and smears Obama has responded appropriately, yet he has remained even-tempered and focused on issues which are important to all of us.
Obama has a middle class background and he is not a rich man so he knows more about us than McCain could ever know, yet he still talks to people directly rather than isolating himself. He has made phone calls to people at one of his phone banks, yesterday he went knocking on doors and talked to people in a working class neighborhood, after the last debate he stayed and shook the hands and talked to every one of the 80 attendees (McCain left after the cameras were turned off). McCain has had 1 press conference since he picked Palin. Palin has none. McCain and Palin do not allow the press near them when traveling or at rallies whereas Barack, Joe, Michelle and Jill speak to the press every day. Please note we haven't even heard Todd Palin's voice yet, and by all accounts he will be hands on in the vice presidency.
Why on earth would anyone want to vote for McCain/Palin? - jaime9, on 10/13/2008, -0/+1Obama will be a president for all Americans!
