- HellDonut, on 04/07/2008, -17/+97Truth in politics? Inconceivable!
- motivatedmama, on 04/07/2008, -19/+62Just telling the truth makes him superior to Hillary.
His half sister seems to be at least as articulate as Obama, this is refreshing and impressive, and the fact that she's an educator also.
What a shock his Presidency will be after the dumbing down of the past 7 years! - smotpoker, on 04/07/2008, -11/+36Once again? I seem to recall the media, Clinton campaign and conservatives who continuously mention race as a factor. Even when he tried to make a speech in response, racism was/is continually mentioned.
Put the blame where it is due - if you don't like race being a factor, tell Fox News and the moron-conservative politicians to stop sweating it - gudnbluts, on 04/07/2008, -7/+28Is there nothing this man won't stoop to?
- TheDHC, on 04/07/2008, -5/+25Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you - gak001, on 04/07/2008, -19/+36is not going to get the Republican nomination.
- elfs1der, on 04/07/2008, -45/+60Ron Paul
- loganm10, on 04/07/2008, -27/+41Welcome to the Obama Propaganda Networ.... I mean digg
- RobotCitizen, on 04/07/2008, -2/+15Try actually learning what the meaning of the upsidedown Stars and Stripes is. It is an official sign of distress and carries no disrespectful connotation.
"THE FLAG CODE
Title 36, U.S.C., Chapter 10
As amended by P.L. 344, 94th Congress
Approved July 7, 1976
ยง 176. Respect for flag: No disrespect should be shown to the flag of the United States of America; the flag should not be dipped to any person or thing. Regimental colors, State flags, and organization or institutional flags are to be dipped as a mark of honor.
(a) The flag should never be displayed with the union down, except as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property. " - raisputin3, on 04/07/2008, -3/+15So you are voting for Ron Paul?
- Berkana, on 04/07/2008, -15/+26Obama appears to be sincere, but he still hasn't addressed the most pressing yet under-reported financial problem of our time: monetary policy. If our monetary system fails, no good policy nor plan of Obama's will be able to be carried out.
Right now, our monetary system is crucially dependent on bank credit, because we've permitted the banks to monetize debt. ( http://digg.com/business_finance/Our_Debt_based_Mo ... ) The banks indebt people by making loans, and then trade these interest earning IOU's on the bond market. Since there is no natural limit to the levels of debt, there is no natural limit to how much money the banks can put into circulation as bank credit. That's the root cause of why we are having the kind of inflation we see; you cannot have inflation unless you have more money in circulation than there is commerce that requires it. Unless the next president understands this, and takes steps to correct this and fight the interests that want to perpetuate it, nothing will really change. - samuraivanity, on 04/07/2008, -2/+13Possible Muslim upbringing?! O NOES!
Let's get all those Barack Hussein Osama jokes out of our systems before we get back to the issues at hand. - JulyZerg, on 04/07/2008, -3/+13Meanwhile, Hillary "misspeaks"
- glowfood, on 04/07/2008, -19/+28Can we please stop seeing all of these Pro Obama posts? Pretty please?
- marmanukem, on 04/07/2008, -5/+13Dude, if you followed this election at all, you would know that Obama has tried very hard to run a de-racialized campaign. Its his opponents and the media that constantly bring this up.
- greenm1981, on 04/07/2008, -0/+8You're right. McCain will send all genders, creeds, and races to Iraq, indefinitely, but equally.
- doommetal, on 04/07/2008, -9/+17AMEN
- fuzzynyanko, on 04/07/2008, -0/+8Just telling the truth makes him superior to 97% of all other politicians!
- cctoronto05, on 04/07/2008, -4/+11I give Clinton's campaign three more weeks (if not sooner) and then she's done, it's already over... the wheels have come off... if it doesn't end within that time frame, then get ready folks, cuz the only question after that will be how far down the rabbit hole do the democrats really wanna go?
Go8ama!! - glowfood, on 04/07/2008, -6/+13Dugg for reality. :-(
- RockeN5, on 04/07/2008, -4/+11This years election will be my first time to vote for a president - I know who the right man is; for the good of our country.
- hackertamer, on 04/07/2008, -2/+8Yeah, if it weren't for
"There was a problem completing your request. Please reload the page and try again." - inactive, on 04/07/2008, -2/+8You need to be taxed more...
- indiepenguins, on 04/07/2008, -7/+13STEVE HOLT!!!
- inactive, on 04/07/2008, -1/+7I am, you too?
- p51d007, on 04/07/2008, -15/+21Why should "the rich" be taxed more than anyone else. Just because (mostly) they studied, worked their ass off (and I don't mean a 9-5 job), saved, invested and EARNED it, they should be punished for achievement?
The ONLY fair tax is the fair tax. Treat everyone equally. http://www.fairtax.org - ReidFleming, on 04/07/2008, -18/+24This broken record has been playing quite a bit lately on digg. If it looks like you can't beat him, start with the ad hominems. Further, I don't think these posters understand what 'Socialism' actually is. Not that it matters, just use scare tactics and lie. Piss off.
- Ryland, on 04/07/2008, -3/+9Only in America have the poor and middle-class been brainwashed into feeling sorry for the rich.
- raisputin3, on 04/07/2008, -0/+6So it would seem America has Spoken. Americans don't want the truth. American's want to be coddled from cradle to grave and screw it if it means higher taxes and more ridiculous laws.
- Daedalus17, on 04/07/2008, -4/+10Wait... did you just blame the financial system problems on the rich saving too much? Just one more example of why Digg should take a basic economics class.
- marmanukem, on 04/07/2008, -1/+6What, are you delusional?
- juankovo, on 04/07/2008, -3/+8Me too. I'm tired of watching my country slide into socialism.
- EuphopiaB, on 04/07/2008, -2/+7I would argue that modern America is significantly socialized.
- greenm1981, on 04/07/2008, -0/+5I think cronian was referring to the Republican party, not it's voting base. I don't know how it happened but the Republican party somehow convinced their constituency to vote against their own interests. Amazing.
- BrendanSheehan, on 04/07/2008, -0/+5I do not think it means what you think it means :P
- inactive, on 04/07/2008, -1/+6Obama and the Democratic Party don't need my hard earned money or yours, they are just going to get the Federal Reserve to print more and more and more. Making what little I have worth even less and less and less.
Thanks a bunch. - XanderDee, on 04/07/2008, -3/+8Ok... Talk the truth about the Federal Reserve a private bank that is robing Americans and making them serfs.
How about the truth about how all taxes go to paying interest on the debt?
Oh yeah I forgot that inconvenient truths.
America has lived beyond it's means, eventually, America will have to pay it's creditors and live beneath it's means.
This is observation like gravity, it's not a prediction. - theneb29, on 04/07/2008, -0/+5hows this (reason #1) different from supporting hillary or mccain? Or hows this different from last 7 years of bush support?
- swedishvolvo, on 04/07/2008, -1/+6Sure I did also. Ron Paul is the only guy for this country. You want real change? Real change for the better? Do you want your government to be truly transparent with the people? Then vote for Ron Paul
- inactive, on 04/07/2008, -11/+16The problem with your and Obama's argument is what all the most wealthy is. When people like Obama criticize the Bush tax cut's they dont really who that affects. The Bush tax cuts affected everyone who payed taxes (60% of this country) which includes lower middle and upper class people. Obama wants to raise taxes on people making a modest 50k a year, this is going to hurt the middle class.
- raisputin3, on 04/07/2008, -3/+8And I would want to support a corrupt politician why?
- greenm1981, on 04/07/2008, -2/+7You don't know that he preached hate for 20 years.
- TrentDeux, on 04/07/2008, -6/+11Because you are forced at gun point to give all the fruits of your labor to an inefficient bureacracy and in doing so lose any notion of personal liberty and self determination...?
- PHiZ187, on 04/07/2008, -1/+6He's running for president, not for Shaft.
- RedStateRandy, on 04/07/2008, -1/+6I thought he was half white?
- raisputin3, on 04/07/2008, -0/+5I don't support Obama, but perhaps you should learn that there is ONE and ONLY one race; ***** sapiens sapiens.
- raisputin3, on 04/07/2008, -0/+4Inner, we need to SPEND less is what we need to do. That alone, returning spending to the level it was in 2000 would help us more than raising taxes.
- kreneskyp, on 04/07/2008, -1/+5That is already happening under bush. every time the fed prints more money or the dollar gets devalued you get taxed
- PBMainiac3, on 04/07/2008, -5/+9socialists can't quite grasp what you're putting down because they think the wealthy should pay for everything.
- Observer001, on 04/07/2008, -0/+478% of all statistics are made up.
