http://www.infowars.com/?p=3443 - parabolee, on 08/13/2008, -1/+1Any credible sources? Alex Jones is good for a laugh but too often he comes off as a froth mouthed raving lunatic. Don't get me wrong I like him and all, but as someone that has watched a lot of his videos, I am surprised how often he states things that are factually incorrect (and easily researched).
Why do big Alex Jones fans fail at basic research? For people so cynical of any and all information that comes through the media, they are surprising eager to eat up everything AJ says without any fact checking (and articles on infowars is not fact checking).
Alex does some good work, but he looks at everything with a mind to make it fit into he pre-imagined conspiracy theory. To him everything that happens EVER was a plot of the NWO to create a totalitarian one world government. If they had as much control as he believes, they would already have achieved it.
He takes five stories and the most the most tenuous links between them to portray them as unveiling some horrific insidious government plot, when most of the time it is nothing more than a bunch of inept politicians making a pigs ear of something. Mainly because no one can agree on the best way to achieve a goal. Bureaucracy does not equal evil shadow government running everything.
He honestly believes that there are no good people in positions of power anywhere fighting for good (except maybe Ron Paul). He is the most negative person I have ever heard and is nothing but a lightning rod for paranoia and fear mongering.
If our spiritual existence boils down to one choice between fear and love, Alex Jones is the devil.
