- Suzpaz, on 08/26/2008, -32/+379Wonder how McCain's 50 year old son will act. Hope he will be like those kids. "Daddy daddy! Where are you!"
- inactive, on 08/26/2008, -24/+288Man, Obama would have been busted big time if it were a recording.
- tnerd, on 08/26/2008, -61/+277A complete family man... good for him
- pintomp3, on 08/26/2008, -6/+178more like "son son, where am i?"
- Tootie5347, on 08/26/2008, -60/+231What a terrific family. It's so refreshing to see a normal family, just like an average family in my neighborhood. They are everything that is good and wholesome.
I think they are just great! - Ryanx0r, on 08/26/2008, -38/+186Aww that's cute.
And way what you want, I think Obama would make an outstanding president for the U.S. A billion times better than Bush, so I'm hoping he gets it. - NKDN8, on 08/26/2008, -44/+190Wow. That was an incredible moment. It would be hard for anyone not to fall in love with those kids after watching their excitement when seeing their dad on the video screen. "Daddy, what city are you in?" Either we just saw two of the most talented kids in the country, or that was the most genuine moment that any of us have seen during this campaign. What a great family.
- inactive, on 08/26/2008, -35/+136They will make a good first family.
- orlyfactor, on 08/26/2008, -3/+104Daddy, daddy, when am *I* going to start getting social security?!
- jellygraph, on 08/26/2008, -4/+79yes, lol indeed... now have a seat in that corner while the rest of us adults move on to other things. here, have a balloon.
- Frozo, on 08/26/2008, -14/+86At least it wasn't Jiuliani's wife calling.
- relaxeder, on 04/17/2009, -19/+91Haha, kool-aid. I get it. Like the Jonestown massacre. That's a new one. No really, I've never heard that joke before.
- rz8472, on 08/26/2008, -6/+76Hey McCain has a normal family... I'm sure everyone calls their wife a '***** *****' every now and then...
- nomes, on 08/26/2008, -43/+110Cutest ever.
- Diggnabbit, on 08/26/2008, -8/+74Well, it was planned, obviously. I mean, they planned for Obama and his family to speak publicly. But, it's not like the kids were reading lines or anything.
- RoroCo, on 08/26/2008, -9/+68What was planned was for Obama to say something about the plight of the other family he was with and tie it back into his policies. His girls interrupting and stealing the spotlight was not planned. Obama did the right thing and paid attention to his kids and passed on the political rhetoric. People need to stop being so crass.
- Stevo23, on 08/26/2008, -10/+66Little-known fact: They actually drank Flavor-Aid at Jonestown. Look it up.
- ekdevdas, on 08/26/2008, -5/+56Waaa where my trust fund old man
- jellygraph, on 08/26/2008, -13/+59I prefer Kool-Aid to hearing aid...

AWWWWWWWWWW. - inajeep, on 08/26/2008, -7/+40I'd rather drink the kool-aid than the ***** cocktail that I had to stomach for 8 years.
- dudio, on 08/26/2008, -5/+38He's got my vote in Canada
- DickyT83, on 08/26/2008, -4/+36Only a billion?
- inactive, on 08/26/2008, -8/+36If you'll only vote for someone because you think they can win, your vote is a wasted vote.
Voting for anyone you agree with, and stand passionately behind, with or without the ability to win an election, is what voting is about.
Everything else is a "waste of your vote." - pintomp3, on 08/26/2008, -4/+32i prefer Kool-Aid to metamucil...
- RikkiTikki, on 08/26/2008, -23/+51That little one is the spitting image of Michelle
- Suzpaz, on 08/26/2008, -10/+37James McCain b. 1988. Pvt. 1 class Marine Corps
Seeing as John McCain almost never talks about his son's service in Iraq, I bet you he has some sweet ass job in the green zone. - RoroCo, on 08/26/2008, -6/+32He has a million dollar house in the Chicago suburbs. That is barely above middle class in that area. Look at the house and tell me if you think "mansion"... http://sedulia.blogs.com/photos/everywhere_else/ba ...
Get a clue before you spew.... - JayRD, on 08/26/2008, -23/+48Lucky man. Wonderful girls.
- Laminarcissus, on 08/26/2008, -4/+29I love people standing up for the integrity of Digg as a forum for serious public debate. Seriously, is this your first day here?
Digg is bread and circuses, a 21st Century Roman forum complete with thumbs up and thumbs down.
Your ambitions are admirable, but the appropriate place for them is "elsewhere." - 3amboo, on 08/26/2008, -1/+25terrorist fist jab to you sir
- BrewmasterC, on 08/26/2008, -4/+28I am a Republican. Want me to vote for McCain? Nope? Ok. Don't complain then ;)
- geewhizbang, on 08/26/2008, -20/+44From the way the girls interrupted, they may not been able to hear what he was saying very well on the stage. But they were very sweet.
I'm not sure that it should be done again. They were a bit overwhelmed by this, but at the same time maybe they should share a bit in the glory since they have been away from their dad so much because of the campaign. - a2fan, on 08/26/2008, -7/+30The only way McCain can top that is with lots and lots of puppies and kittens.
- Hrodrik, on 08/26/2008, -2/+25...Sir?
Are you serious?
Maybe they had an ugly child in the backstage talking for her. - zip000, on 08/26/2008, -3/+26Ah...I kind of miss good old 9-11....er...I mean Giuliani.
9-11. 9-11. - morninglorii, on 08/26/2008, -1/+24Which one? HEYO!!!!
- theaceoffire, on 08/26/2008, -4/+26You mean the war for oil started by Bush, that McCain supports, that Obama wants out of?
- Bunnybutt, on 08/26/2008, -24/+45Very adorable moment.
- inactive, on 08/26/2008, -7/+28Yeah, nothing racist about your comment at all. It's okay though, you made fun of white people.... that's allowed.....
- incredibilistic, on 08/26/2008, -7/+28When you got lemons, make lemonade. Saying that you're going to vote for someone that has a snowball's chance in hell of winning is just a waste of a vote. While people may not like Obama for whatever reason it's incredibly stupid to think that he didn't get to where he was because of some conspiracy. Obama is far from the Manchurian... that would be McCain.
As for last night's events and the speech by Obama followed by a barrage of "I love you daddy" had me in tears. I have two daughters and they're almost the same age as Obama's beautiful girls so I was right there. At least respect the moment and the fact that Obama is a family man and from the looks of his family he's doing right by them. He's far from perfect just like the rest of us but that tender moment with his kids was great. I think it would've been better if he could actually see them. He said Michelle looked cute but my guess is that she's always looking proper so that's a comment that would fly even if he were blindfolded.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot... AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!! - richirwin, on 08/26/2008, -5/+26McCain will have a similar thing at the republican convention when his kids ask him which house he's sleeping in.
- jbeezz, on 08/26/2008, -4/+24So what? So do millions of other REGULAR people... and what about those dead and wounded sons and daughters? McCain is absolutely right not to make it a political issue.
- inactive, on 08/26/2008, -2/+21Why did that make you think about having sex with children?
- ZebZ, on 08/26/2008, -3/+22No, and neither does Barack Obama.
