- nippinawassee, on 06/13/2008, -2/+21BHMO is the puppet of the democratic 'leaders' - they've picked an empty suit and they pull the strings... AT THIS TIME. Should this empty suit attain the presidency of the USA it will be the laughing stock of the world at large. "Look, they are so 'guilty' over slavery that they are promoting anything that is considered black." He's an empty suit because he has NO substance. He has yet to really speak like a presidential candidate - more like his friend, Rev. Wright - his campaign more resembles the old snake oil salesman's pitch... promise the world and when the snake oil medicine kills you or doesn't work, the snake oil salesman is long gone. The Americans are stupid - just plain damned stupid - to promote such an individual for the most important job in the country. and the funny thing is: the political demo heads THINK he will turn to them for guidance... no way - not while he has the Nation of Islam to GUIDE him. Will he use the secret service for protection? Nope - it'll be the NofIslam who provides his personal protection. Nice cozy feeling, huh? People scoff at the emails that are circulating about his past, his muslim connections, etc., BUT, no one can prove otherwise. His buddies can romp and stomp about the accusations against him being false - they can try to threaten the bloggers who provide this information BUT guess what? doesn't work. We're not in Iran - at least at this point, we're still free Americans. Watch what happens... and remember, the Americans that put him in office are totally brain dead....
- nippinawassee, on 06/13/2008, -2/+18Forgot - the empty suit is a disaster because there's no substance, no class, no integrity and no dignity... watching BHMO hop up on the state, giving the typical gangstyle handshakes, the bumping of fists, etc., is just so exciting... to see a possible president acting like he just rolled in from the hood... Why not Colin Powell? My heavens, Mr. Powell has more dignity, class, integrity and don't forget international experience in his little finger than this bozo will EVER attain. He has the respect of the leaders of nations - he IS presidential material - why did they ever pull this joker out of the closet? Because they BELIEVE that they will control him... hahahahahahahaha!
- inactive, on 06/13/2008, -3/+13Red flags went up before Bill Clinton won the nomination and they were ignored. Red flags are flying over Obama and they are being ignored. History is about to repeat itself. In the end, we could end up with another 'quality' democrat in the White House.
- inactive, on 06/14/2008, -1/+5A real sad thing is that the first black major candidate had to be this sad man

I'll presume you disagree w/her.
"...never saw Soylent Green. If she had she wouldn't make such assumtions[sic]."
I'd bet your next paycheck she did: Most conservatives of that generation have.
"Not to mention, most Conservatives can't stand the movie because it makes a case supporting the idea of global warming, anti-capitalism, and anti-consumerism."
Corrections: Most conservatives LOVED the movie. Charlton Heston was a conservative; he didn't accept any roles that he believed didn't represent conservatism somehow. While it appears "global warming" is represented in the movie—and I agree: It LOOKS that way!—`Soylent Green´ was made in `73 when global COOLING was the fear du jour and the easily-duped portion of the populace feared another ice age. Today's libs eschew capitalism, equating any profit-taking & any consumerism w/the most dastardly of all evils. 70s' mid-America did not, altho the counterculture of the 60s was cont'g to age, eventually becoming today's Left. The lesson was, I believe, self-centeredness/greed—not an issue w/any, one demographic.
"It is one of the most liberal, left wing movies out and it just rocks. It show[sic] what happened to a world that was controlled by the far Conservative Right. Not pretty."
On the "not pretty," we agree. But to repeat, it wasn't a "Left-wing" movie, nor did it represent conservatism-as-the-bad-guy in any way, shape, or form. Widely accepted, popular movies of the 70s especially were often specifically designed to appeal to EVERYONE by allowing viewers to pick out their own causes du jour, good guys, & bogeymen. If you want to name "global warming" as the cause & conservatives as the bogeymen, it's certainly your right to form your own opinion, but be aware that movies fr/this era were constructed to allow the typical viewer to do just that . . . while collecting YOUR admission dollars as well as those fr/conservatives AND mid-America, ea attendee similarly forming his own interpretation. - inactive, on 06/16/2008, -0/+2Oooo, Dugg down: That hurts.
Anyone else recall Michael Moore {the fat doofus Michael Moore—not the real Michael Moore, aka Tom Berenger} treating Charleton Heston so impolitely in his [2002] BOWLING FOR COLUMBINE? Yeah: It was on account of Heston being so liberal; you know, two identical kids on the block, unable to agree to disagree, so alike they just couldn't get along. - inactive, on 06/15/2008, -1/+2`Smatta fact, I FIRST watched it whilst you were still filling your diapers . . . and of course, many, many times since. I would venture that, as a frmr movie reviewer, Heston's films fill a fairly important niche in American entertainment. IMAO, of course.
Did YOU read what I wrote? If you had read some film history books, I doubt you'd be disagreeing w/me. - reland1, on 06/25/2008, -0/+1the b----...........was when I dropped my keyboard!
- reland1, on 06/25/2008, -0/+1Good ol' Bill Clinton said "Obama will be used like an ATM machine"...(like Bill wasn't)
- reland1, on 06/25/2008, -0/+1first of all M. Morgan is NOT a stupid b----.````````````````````````````````````````````````````at one time Melanie was a liberal. I KNOW. She married the the head of KSFO (a branch of KGO) radio in San Francisco. We both had gambling issues when we were younger...I'm older than Melanie. I lived in CA for 25 years...(in my Woodstock years) . Some of us grew up, eventually, and began to think with our brains (instead of some other parts of the body). Some of us turned our lives over to Jesus, some didn't. But, Melanie is a good soul. I saw Solyent Orange...it sucked then...and it really sucks now. Now that I fully understand the premise of a" Benevolent Dictator".
- reland1, on 06/25/2008, -0/+1this one will be the end... I don't think the USA will be viable in any sense of the word..after Barack Hussien Obama.
- Equinox2012, on 06/15/2008, -1/+0Have you ever watched it? Do you know what it is about?
- Dumprun, on 06/14/2008, -5/+1Melanie Morgan did a morning radio show in my area. Some days she seemed more drunk than others. Maybe that is why she was fired.
- Equinox2012, on 06/14/2008, -8/+0That stupid bitch never saw Soylent Green. If she had she wouldn't make such assumtions. Not to mention, most Conservatives can't stand the movie because it makes a case supporting the idea of global warming, anti-capitalism, and anti-consumerism.
It is one of the most liberal, left wing movies out and it just rocks. It show what happened to a world that was controlled by the far Conservative Right. Not pretty.
