- tcbishop12, on 05/10/2008, -10/+56This trickle has already become a steady stream. At a certain point, it’s gonna become an inescapable wave.
Anyone out there still think Sen. Obama's supporters here on Digg are just Obama-bots? - rentmitchum, on 05/10/2008, -3/+35I have a kidney stone, and I hope for my trickles to become steady streams sometime soon.
/me wishes he were kidding. - motivatedmama, on 05/10/2008, -3/+31All according to plan. What a master he is! I can't wait to see the Obama administration in action.
- CivicTV, on 08/14/2009, -2/+25I think I have a 3am call I need to make to Hillary.
- marabout40, on 05/10/2008, -3/+23I prefer a nice steady stream over a gush or flood any day. :)
- rentmitchum, on 05/10/2008, -0/+18Next time you go back to 2001 warn the people there about September 11th. ***** be goin down.

- SpudgeBoy, on 05/10/2008, -2/+13Well, Captain Obvious, he is a Democrat. Do you expect him to spout Republican talking points?
- theviceroy, on 05/10/2008, -0/+9friends don't let friends drunk-dial Hillary!
- quarkie, on 05/10/2008, -0/+8Are you basing this entire thing on the South Park episode with Canada serving as a metaphor for the WGA?
- brad3378, on 05/10/2008, -4/+12I don't think you're all Obama-bots - but I have to admit that I'm a bit disappointed that stories about his official platform aren't more popular than stories about non-issues such as the Rev. Wright Scandal.
Here's a shameless plug for a Pro-Obama story taken directly from his official website.
http://digg.com/political_opinion/Obama_s_Blueprin ... - CivicTV, on 08/14/2009, -2/+9Its early but I'm going to call it. We have a winner!
- inactive, on 05/10/2008, -6/+13They are also the reason that you have food in your grocery store.. the reason that you have steel in your products, they fight for the idea of equitable pay and treatment for all citizens. You dont like them? why dont you go to china or iraq where unions are illegal and see how you like it in your 'utopian paradise'.
maybe after a month you will have enough money saved to call me and tell me how its going.
God forbid your tv schedule is messed up. - rentmitchum, on 05/10/2008, -1/+8I prefer your mom.
- dkm201, on 05/10/2008, -1/+8Thank God for the WGA. How do you suggest we get what we were asking for, other than to deny our services?
- SpudgeBoy, on 05/10/2008, -1/+7Yeah, because it hasn't been the Republicans that in the last 7 years spent more money than ALL of the previous administrations COMBINED.
Do you really think everybody is as dumb as you? - SpudgeBoy, on 05/10/2008, -3/+9Do all of you Republicans have homosexual thoughts running through your heads?

- dkm201, on 05/10/2008, -0/+5As a working WGA member I would like to say thank God for what the WGA provides us. Every working WGA member I know -- which is about 50 -- feels the same way.
- PunkRampant, on 05/10/2008, -2/+7*Snowball metaphor*
- anbudom, on 05/10/2008, -0/+5I give it at least 7 days, Hillary will come up with a "face-saving" retirement speech. But behind the scenes she's still holding out for something more....for Obama camp to buy her out, debts et al.
- SpudgeBoy, on 05/10/2008, -2/+7The current adminstration is the largest in history.
Next lie. - AGHatecraft, on 05/10/2008, -0/+5That was one of the best digg comment responses I'll ever see.
- TunaFishGangsta, on 05/10/2008, -3/+8Keep in mind, the young people support Obama. The old-timers are the ones that support Clinton or McCain. --- So what we have here are a bunch of kids on the that use digg. It's actually quite plausible.
- Lazydriver, on 05/10/2008, -1/+6Unfortunately, rednecks like you fail to understand that YOU JUST ABSOLUTELY ***** CAN'T STOP MILLIONS OF PEOPLE FROM SNEAKING IN 3000 MILES OF BORDER TO GET A JOB!!!!
A job they'd have equal wages for, if you weren't so keen to deport them. Think about it: They're Mexicans. They like partying and working hard. And they damn well would like equal wages if it weren't for the fact they'd get deported if they asked for it.
Luckily for you, Obama agrees with both sides.... And so, borders get protected and Mexicans have a way-easier time getting legal without being held up in FBI background checks for YEARS (sometimes DECADES.) And you wonder why we have so many illegal immigrants? - Barackalypse, on 05/10/2008, -3/+8Seriously, without a union there wouldn't be steel or food in my grocery store? You ever hear of Nucor steel? Over $16 billion in yearly sales and still union free, have a look: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nucor
No as to food in the store, most of the farm labor force are undocumented workers, and thus not represented by a union. So I guess you might be referring to the truckers or railroads that ship the food, but guess what, there are union free shippers, such as Southeaster Freight Lines. http://www.sefl.com
Unions don't get things done, they stand in the way of getting things done. Just like monopolies by companies cause higher prices, monopolies in labor supply cause the same thing. Having worked as a supply chain management and production control consultant at various manufacturing plants for most of the last 8 years (including Nucro steel), the two biggest reasons I have heard for NOT being able to do something are Sarbanes Oxley and the unions. As I am sure you've figured out by now, based on your mentioning China, your union workers aren't as indispensable as you think they are. - freddc, on 05/10/2008, -0/+5However, there is a conflict when business can turn it into a predictable war of attrition, with law stacked in their favor.
- Stochio, on 05/10/2008, -0/+4To me, it's not a matter of unions are good or unions are bad. Unions should be a voluntary arrangement that have no special privileges nor restrictions from the law.
- NyteStarNyne, on 05/10/2008, -1/+5I prefer C-C-C Comb {Error: Breaker Failed. Comment Train is too short}
- NyteStarNyne, on 05/10/2008, -0/+4That's not what she said.
- nekama, on 05/10/2008, -2/+6It's far better than having endorsement of The Burke Group, Vance International(Thugs for hire), and Grigsby & Cohen(A firm that would qualify as a domestic enemy).
- t3hbagel, on 05/10/2008, -11/+15This was a triumph.
- Jforsyth89, on 05/10/2008, -0/+4He used the word "state" instead of "states and territories." There are, in fact, more than 50 democratic primaries. When EVERYTHING you say is being recorded, this really is a small slip-up.
- tcbishop12, on 05/10/2008, -0/+3I agree she'll probably give it a go through Oregon. But as to holding out for a better deal: Sen. Obama doesn't have to make any deal at this point out of panic or fear. Hillary should learn to live with the disappointment that comes from running a campaign in the kneecapping, deceitful, disingenuous manner in which she conducted hers, which will prove to be both a strong reality check and a good character builder for the junior senator from New York. While $20 million is an unimaginable chunk of change for most of us, let's be clear, everyone, that Bill and Hillary Clinton can certainly afford to pay their own campaign debts.
- theaceoffire, on 05/10/2008, -0/+3The cake has unchecked dependencies.
- Chandon, on 05/10/2008, -0/+3Sure. But that wasn't the question. The question was: How does Obama *differ* from the other candidates?
- malex, on 05/10/2008, -2/+5Aww... you sound sad.
- jdmcadam, on 05/10/2008, -1/+4So is this a free fence and volunteer guards, or would that be a flood of government spending?
- masterm1nd, on 05/10/2008, -2/+7Why did you infer TV is the most important thing in this life? That explains...
- lonnieh, on 05/10/2008, -1/+3Perhaps Costco is union free because they support a higher standard of ethical treatment. Coincidentally, one of the many reasons why people unionize is because they believe in a higher standard of ethical treatment.
- jchaz, on 05/10/2008, -0/+2I want to take a moment and savor this. A grassroots elected democratic presidential candidate who is African American, middle name Hussein, young, unifying, left leaning and good looking. OMG. And he says we are who we have been waiting for. Brilliant. How fun is this???
- theaceoffire, on 05/10/2008, -0/+2Evil doesn't flow from his eyes like fine wine?
- brad3378, on 05/10/2008, -3/+5but she has virtually the same platform as Obama.
Don't be a hater. - masterm1nd, on 05/11/2008, -0/+2Ahh yes, relying on failed reading comprehension to judge your own reading comprehension. Interesting.
- dkm201, on 05/10/2008, -3/+6Unions look out for their members, since corporations don't.
