Obama meets privately with Michigan Muslim leader

freep.com — Imam Hassan Qazwini, head of the Islamic Center of America, said in an email that he met with Obama at Macomb Community College. A mosque spokesman, Eide Alawan, confirmed that the meeting took place. During the meeting, the two discussed the Presidential election, the Arab-Israeli conflict, and the Iraq war, according to Qazwini.

    Then surely you'd agree that President Bush has "Muslim ties". Bush met with the exact same man, Imam Hassan Qazwini, many, many, times, before and after 9/11, including while he was first campaigning for president in 2000, and during his 2004 re-election campaign. He has also been a guest at the Bush White House more than once.

    So tell me, why are you rolling your eyes?
