this site (on which the content seems to lean conservative)
compiles all of the polls - it includes those that tend to slant to the right or left, as well as those which are neutral (as they all should be, but clearly, they all aren't all of the time).
I've been watching that page daily -
and just a week ago, there were at least one or two polls on the list that had McCain ahead -
this week they're all showing Obama ahead.
This article we're all responding to, is merely stating the factual trend -- Obama's lead is indeed widening -
Think what you want to about polls - but they can't all be that off, and not for several days in a row. There are clear margins here.
The widening lead is likely due to the economy, for which economists have come out in favor of Obama's plan -
clarity on the candidates' respective health care plans - that McCain's will not cover everyone, and cost the tax payer more, not less -
and the fear factor of Joe-Six-Pack Palin's apocalyptic finger being a just a heartbeat away from the nuke button. - algaeturd, on 10/07/2008, -1/+1DING, DONG, MCCAIN AND PALIN ARE ON THE WAY OUT! People have woken up to their lies, their inexperience and their incompetence! About time america started to turn around.
- aerobroken, on 10/07/2008, -4/+1I think the polls are misleading, It's all rigged anyways, everyone needs to wake up and realize that it doesn't really matter who you vote for they have already been pruned and chosen ahead of time. That's my opinion....

I think polls inevitably turn people away and create apathy or even worse sway people who will only vote for front runners. I wish the media (especially in this case) would stop reporting poll results.
