- JenniferInMO, on 02/01/2009, -3/+22The criticism of Obama's attire is just petty. The man has already worked harder than Bush did in 2 terms. Bush would have been playing golf by now. And McCain who until the last few weeks of the campaign would only do 1 campaign event per day and he had every weekend off would have just let his lobbyist appointees (see John Thain, likely Secretary of the Treasury) run the show.
- MaxxusFlamus, on 02/01/2009, -0/+12If you really wanted to show respect to the Oval Office-
Try not ***** up the country that office runs. - NyteStarNyne, on 02/01/2009, -0/+11It seems that some people don't mind when a President cripples the country in 2 terms, just as long as he did it while wearing a coat and a lapel pin. AMERIKUH, ***** YEAH!!!
- AquaOSX, on 02/01/2009, -0/+11"I found that Ronald Reagan and both President Bushes treated the Oval Office with tremendous respect. They treated the Office of the Presidency with tremendous respect. And some of that respect was reflected in how they expected people to behave, how they expected them to dress when they walked into the symbol of freedom for the world..."
I'm sorry, but Bush used that room to abuse the hell out of the presidency. I fail to see how dressing business casual, and joining the 21st century, comes even close to what Bush did. - hbyrne, on 02/01/2009, -0/+8I think a lot of us who took high school gym shudder at that headline.
- ThsGuyRightHere, on 02/01/2009, -0/+7Clinton's actions in the oval office were objectionable, agreed. However outside of conduct that was unbecoming of any public servant, let alone the highest office in the land, Clinton left office with the country in significantly better shape than Bush did. Did you vote for Bush in 2004? If so my IRA account says thanks, dick.
- Keyhole, on 02/01/2009, -0/+6This is a guy, who was at Bush's side for 8 years!
In 2008, Bush's approval rate hit a low of 19%, his highest approval rating in 2008 was 28%!
Obama's approval rating is sitting at 68% right now!
Does this guy REALLY think, that after what Bush did in the oval office, that Americans REALLY care if Obama and his administration don't wear a tie and coat at their own meetings everyday!
This is just grabbing at straws to try to make Obama seem disrespectful and put him in a bad light!
After what Bush did to this country wearing coats and ties, I think they should ban them from the White House!
The Bush Legacy! No more jackets and ties in the Oval Office! - intrepidia, on 02/01/2009, -0/+6If Obama can set a culture of competence, productivity and accomplishment then does it mater if staff wear wingtips or Nike's...
- whotas2, on 02/01/2009, -0/+5I think he's just pissed off at the fact that he doesn't own any good casual wear.
- ThsGuyRightHere, on 02/01/2009, -0/+4I don't see how a senior member of a failed administration is in any position to fire criticism at the man who won the election by running on a platform of helping the country recover from said failed administration.
- noupsell, on 02/01/2009, -0/+4gee when I see the headline 'locker room experience' I think of getting beat up and crying naked, crouched in the fungus filled corner of the shower area, praying that some day I get revenge on the bullies that humiliated me and then flash forward to the future to the very moment The GrandMaster hands me the Sacred Dragon Scroll of all wisdom and knowledge. Thanks Bullies, I mean thanks former Bush evil doers.
- hoodedrobin, on 02/02/2009, -0/+4He got his dick sucked by a chick... Does it have to be a guy to make you republicans not hate on political dick sucking?
- spextor, on 02/01/2009, -0/+3This is news? Really...?
- liberD, on 02/02/2009, -0/+2Dick meet Dick...I mean Card meet Medved.
- ThsGuyRightHere, on 02/02/2009, -0/+2I challenge you to walk through any office and, outside of meetings and presentations, find someone who's wearing a suit including the jacket and is actually getting work done.
- sekseebeast, on 02/01/2009, -0/+2Who's that guy in the picture?
Maybe he should spend less time in the locker room, and a little more in the actual gym. - ThsGuyRightHere, on 02/02/2009, -1/+3I don't care what the man wears in the oval office if he actually produces results. Maybe if President Bush had spent less time focusing on his dress code and more time paying attention to the shenanigans Cheney was pulling under his nose we would be in better shape.
- Rcarhar, on 02/03/2009, -0/+0ignorant bastard
- Rcarhar, on 02/03/2009, -0/+0I definitely read the title and got an image of him chasing people through the halls naked while whipping a towel that was moist with sweat.
- HotSaucePanCake, on 02/02/2009, -2/+2Right, cause it's real hard to put on a suit. Pull you're head out of your ass ***** head, appearance is extremely important. Don't believe it? go interview for your next job in sweat pants.
- HotSaucePanCake, on 02/02/2009, -5/+2I'm going to have to agree with the criticism you don't treat the most important job in the world like it's "casual time"
What a pansy obama is turning out to be. - inactive, on 02/01/2009, -16/+3Clinton turned the White House into a bordello.
The Obamas will probably leave behind roaches when they move out.
What is worse, is the condition that he will leave the country in with his misguided and clueless ideas about economics... or lack thereof.
