An investment in infrastructure and green energy to create millions of jobs is really the only sane response to the economic crisis, and it's going to be such a breath of fresh air to have a sane grown up in charge again.
I wasn't expecting too much from a Democratic President other than shielding us from the worst excesses of the lunatic right wing fringe in this country, but if he really honestly delivers on green energy and health care (maybe even with a little repealing of DUMA thrown in *crosses fingers*), then he'll really have lived up to the trust we've placed in him, and my cynical heart will grow two sizes bigger that day. - nihilville, on 11/23/2008, -0/+1Agreed, but time after time I've ended up just completely flabbergasted as these religious fundies and neocons take open and shut cases and rule them as "open to debate".

And we're going to have to have a major change in health care in order for our businesses to be competitive around the world too. We don't have a choice but to do these big things. Including equal rights for all.
