Obama Thinks there are Over 57 States
politico.com — Barack Obama says he has been to 57 states and has one left to go, then mentions Alaska and Hawaii, so it's unclear whether he thinks there are 58 or 59. What a moron!

- omnithought, on 05/11/2008, -2/+2What's worse, an incorrect number or a slew of lies? If America is really dumb enough to disregard a candidate over something this ridiculous, then we already have the president we deserve.
- kelly, on 05/11/2008, -7/+12The sad thing is that this will never make it to the front page
- eir574, on 05/11/2008, -2/+10Because Obama misspoke, and it's ridiculous to try to use it to say that he's so stupid as to believe that there are more than 50 states. It was also stupid that people used a picture of McCain holding a microphone upside down as supposed proof of his idiocy.
I'm far more concerned about McCain doing things like getting Shia and Sunni mixed up and saying things like Iran is training members of al Qaeda than I am about Obama saying 57 instead of 47 (47 states visited+1 more on the schedule + 2 he doesn't plan to visit=50).- lajaw, on 05/11/2008, -5/+7Misspoke? Do you not remember the crap that Dan Quail went through for potatoe/potato? It's all fair game these days because of people like you and your liberal/homosexual buddies.
- KJeffV, on 05/11/2008, -1/+4And of course, the REST OF THAT STORY is . . . the word "potatoe" was misspelled on the back of the card Quayle was holding, but one can trust the lamestream media to not bother mentioning that.
- eir574, on 05/11/2008, -1/+7@lajaw
I'm afraid I don't understand how the crap that Quayle went through for misspelling potato no makes it reasonable to turn gaffes on the campaign trail into major issues. I also have no idea what homosexuality has to do with this, unless you've decided that homosexuality is responsible for everything in this world with which you don't agree.
It sounds like I'm the one arguing for reasonableness, and you're the one contributing to the problem by saying you approve of this kind of thing.- eir574, on 05/11/2008, -1/+3Speaking of gaffes, the first sentence should be "I'm afraid I don't understand how the crap that Quayle went through for misspelling potato *now* makes it reasonable to turn gaffes on the campaign trail into major issues."
- lajaw, on 05/11/2008, -3/+3I'm saying a mistake is a mistake. It's the liberal press that makes such big deals of it. And the press is in bed with the homosexuals and their agenda. The deviants would not be where they are today without a willing press.
- PabloMac, on 05/12/2008, -0/+1Was it a mismatch of words and actions?

- clarencepaul, on 05/11/2008, -7/+9The real sad thing is, people vote and support people they know so little about and when they do hear his minister ranting and raving[who said preaching ?] and using God's name in vain three times and the fact he is still supportative of this black liberation theology racist church and won't withdraw from it to be elected president, something is amiss among our nation.
- elmoryl, on 05/11/2008, -2/+4Something's already been amiss for a long time; the main question is which candidate is the least amiss.
- clarencepaul, on 05/12/2008, -3/+2All three are liberal and unqualified to lead this nation, Huckabee is the onlyone worthy of my vote.
- impossibility, on 05/23/2008, -0/+3You are beyond disgusting.
- clarencepaul, on 05/12/2008, -3/+2All three are liberal and unqualified to lead this nation, Huckabee is the onlyone worthy of my vote.
- impossibility, on 05/23/2008, -0/+1You have to be kidding. These tactics are pathetic. Who gives a flying ***** about where Barack Obama goes to church? The fact of the matter is that he is a devout Christian and believes in god. This election isn't and shouldn't ever be a contest of "who is the biggest Christian". There was a reason Huckabee utterly failed. Our candidate should represent the people, and their voices. And obviously, Huckabee was not the voice of the people. Soon everyone will see that neither is McCain's.
So, god ***** damn you. Yeah, I used the lord's name in vain. Does that change who I am? No ***** way.
- elmoryl, on 05/11/2008, -2/+4Something's already been amiss for a long time; the main question is which candidate is the least amiss.
- Magillicutti, on 05/11/2008, -5/+8So he meant to say 47. If he's not going to Alaska and Hawaii as he said, and he has one left to go, well.. I suppose you McCain supporters can compute simple mathematics.. but just in case, that would make 47.
Also, don't act like McCain has never misspoke, do you not remember when he called himself a liberal?
And speaking of John McCain and numbers and what not.. how about the number of years he wants to keep spending your money to benefit war profiteers?
BTW, I'll cast a vote for Obama over McCain, but I in no way support him. - omnithought, on 05/11/2008, -1/+5If this is the worst mistake he'd made so far, then how is that bad? Compared to Hillary, McCain and especially Bush, he still comes across as far more credible. Ooooh, a wrong number came out of his mouth! How scandalous!
This story is really desperate and pathetic. Where are your priorities?- grahamjj, on 05/14/2008, -2/+0I wonder how he would do on a test of the US Constitution ?
- impossibility, on 05/23/2008, -0/+1You're neglecting to realize Obama transferred to Columbia University in New York City, where he majored in political science with a specialization in international relations. It's impossible for most HISTORY majors to escape college without a strong knowledge of the Constitution. Low blow, dickwad.
- grahamjj, on 05/14/2008, -2/+0I wonder how he would do on a test of the US Constitution ?
- TheRealToma, on 05/11/2008, -0/+4At least hes holding the microphone the right way round.

- grahamjj, on 05/14/2008, -2/+0How shallow our leadership has become. Since 1960 the supreme court rejected God in Stone v Graham and Engel v Vital; America has dropped in every measurable social indicator.
If we elect a man like Obama instead of Allen Keyes or Colin Powell...what are doing but going down hill fast.- bsmang, on 09/02/2008, -0/+1Rejecting God is called PROGRESS. The only thing that could make Obama better would be if he were an atheist. Unfortunately, he claims to be a dumb Christian.. But I guess everyone has their faults.
- keltin, on 05/14/2008, -1/+1Obama is more steeped in the intricacies of Muslim-SHaria law than he is in the civics of the USA or the values our nation has maintained despite the attempts of the Rotten Democrats or Leftists of the world, to destroy.
- flyingmule, on 06/17/2008, -0/+1How is misspeaking a story? Sorry, this was a waste of time.
- bsmang, on 09/02/2008, -0/+1Everyone who believes Obama thinks that is obviously too stupid to be allowed to vote. Just like the people who think he's a Muslim and whatever other ***** crazy stuff they come up with.
