- DD2CC2U, on 06/13/2008, -60/+309The United States is heading toward a cliff. The world sees Mr. Obama as the real candidate to change the United States direction and head the country back to its once greatness. The world wants a great United States. They see McCain for what he is and that is just another Bush administration.
- chrissku, on 06/13/2008, -25/+200If McCain is elected I will hang my head in shame with the world.
- SQLserver, on 06/13/2008, -24/+163Unfortunately, half of America(Actually, according to the 2004 elections, more then half) doesn't even know the rest of the world exists.
This is obvious, but it doesn't matter much. The entire World is just about classified as 'liberal pinko-commies' in America.
Reality is just too liberal for most Americans. - BryanG412, on 06/13/2008, -17/+131Remember what happened last time we didn't listen to the rest of the world...
- samadam, on 06/13/2008, -6/+104Is there any way to see the chart full size?
- MrSketch, on 06/13/2008, -8/+102Unfortunately, I can see the Fox News headline now: Obama preferred by Muslims around the world!
- FZZU, on 06/13/2008, -18/+96Other side of the world here.
I live in Latvia, and I prefer Obama. I hope he will do a great job as a president if elected, actually after current ***** seems like anyone could do a better job. Hopefully. - zulfy26, on 06/13/2008, -13/+73Too bad the rest of the world doesn't get to vote.
- reuscel, on 06/13/2008, -2/+58I wouldn't get too optimistic about this report. Kerry won all these polls in 2004, and it did ***** for his chances.

Does China want a stronger US?
Yes. The US is one of China's biggest customers; a stronger US means more businesses and wealth for the Chinese. By contrast, many American fear and hate Chinese, which makes it easy for you be convinced that they want us to go down.
Does France want a stronger US?
Yes. France and the USA go way back; historically speaking, France and the US have done a lot for each other, and that won't change any time soon. They got each other's backs, homes.
Does Pakistan want a stronger US?
Yes, mainly because they are allied with China and China likes itself some strong US. Good Chinese economy means good things for Pakistan, not to mention India (they all benefit here).
Does North Korea want a stronger US?
As a matter of fact, they do. The DPRK basically lives off of the charity of other countries, so if western powers go down (their main suppliers), it's tough ***** for them. There are other issues regarding their national security that I won't go into.
Does Al Qaeda want a stronger US?
Al Qaeda isn't actually a country; you pretty much threw this in to emphasize your "foreigners are trying to destroy us" slant. Exactly how many people are members of Al Qaeda, and which nations in the world actually like such a lawless band of criminals?
"The reason I believe they don't like Bush, is because he has proven that he will use the military power of the U.S. to advance our interests."
I think that's actually a very noble reason not to like him. As you recall, countries that use military power to advance their own interests are generally reviled and hated by everyone else. It's even visible in American pop culture (Nazi Germany, Soviet Russia, fascist Italy, etc).
In short, we're bad neighbors. What makes Obama so appealing is his apparent promise of turning the US into a good neighbor. Other countries know we are strong, and Obama lets them know that our strength is a blessing to other nations rather than the curse it is today. - Slayerdeth, on 06/13/2008, -2/+52Nigeria and Tanzania but no Canada thats odd.
- PhilliesBlunt, on 06/13/2008, -10/+49If that were the case, then why doesn't the rest of the world like Bush? Everything he's done as president has resulted in a weaker US.
It's amazing how some people can fall for that tough-talk *****. What's so tough about sending other people's children to die from the most comfortable office in the world? - iPirate, on 06/13/2008, -1/+36(FF2) Right click - View Image
- DryMaltExtract, on 06/13/2008, -2/+36Your president is a ***** moron and criminal.
To defend him when you know it's true is utterly pathetic. Your blind patriotism is revolting and only causes harm to your nation. Enjoy your police state, you're headed right for it - dagnabbit, on 06/13/2008, -2/+36http://www.huffingtonpost.com/huff-wires/20080612/ ...
- inactive, on 06/13/2008, -14/+48all i can say is that this doesn't surprise me remotely
i mean wtf is going through peoples minds? john mccain has george bush 3 written all over him.... i mean to vote him in twice is one horrendous thing.. but to vote in an older .. more stupid (if thats even possible).. george bush 3.. is just redunkulous!! - inactive, on 06/13/2008, -9/+42Could it be for the same ***** reason US has been telling other nations how to run their countries for the past 60 years?!
Or could it be that a president favored by the world would improve global opinion of America and Americans? - Smooooth, on 06/13/2008, -6/+38What is truly disheartening is that McCain still has a greater confidence rate within the US according to this poll. (If you disregard the M.O.E.)
Haha P.S. check out Pakistan. They just straight-up don't like either of them. - inactive, on 06/13/2008, -10/+41I agree that it probably is too conservative to elect a socialist in the white house, and but none of the serious contenders are. Obama - and the Democrats in general - are simply moderate conservatives if you look at it from a global viewpoint instead of letting the American right wing define what's socialist and where the center lies.
http://www.politicalcompass.org/usprimaries2008 - mattus, on 06/13/2008, -2/+32Ah, yes: the well-known poverty-ravished third world nations of Britain, France, Germany and Australia!
- inactive, on 06/13/2008, -1/+26you definitely need more info sources than digg and cnn

- Tebixan, on 06/13/2008, -0/+24Quick! Get all the non-Americans off the internet, before they assemble an opinion!
- inigomntoya, on 06/13/2008, -0/+21"Unfortunately, half of America(Actually, according to the 2004 elections, more then half) doesn't even know the rest of the world exists."
Which is why we need more maps for the Iraq and other Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future, for our children. - nynety, on 06/13/2008, -8/+28I'm Indian and all my knowledge of this year's elections has so far come from Digg, CNN etc i.e. an American point of view. I know that Obama is the better candidate and that if I were American, I would definitely be voting for him (I turn 18 on the 2nd of November :| ). But that's the thing; so far, I've been viewing these elections from an American POV. As much as the world hates him , George W. Bush was the best thing to happen to Indo-US relations. And it seems that John McCain will continue GWB's policy of aiding India in rising up in global politics to counter China.
It's pretty hard for me to decide whom to root for (not that it matters anyway). - SheilaNoya, on 06/13/2008, -7/+27OK - then by your own logic we need to stop calling ourselves the "leader of the free world" if we don't care what the world thinks. That would just make us the "dictator" of the free world.
- MattB123, on 06/13/2008, -4/+24@Deputy_Doodah - do your realize that aggression and strength are not the same thing?
- inactive, on 06/13/2008, -12/+31Yay I mean the President of the United States actions have no real effect on the rest of the world...
retard. - aliengoods, on 06/13/2008, -11/+29First, you assclowns can try to tag Obama with whatever labels you want. Socialist, liberal, communist, etc. The American people are too sick of the right wings ***** to listen, and the polls are starting to reflect that.
Second, shouldn't you at least be able to spell the last name of your candidate?! Maccain?! Seriously, WTF? - WasabiBomb, on 06/13/2008, -3/+20"Do we get a say in their elections?"
Of course we do. Haven't you been paying attention? Hell, the CIA practically EXISTS to manipulate other governments.
And you know, just because you aren't willing to do the slightest amount of research to find Obama's policies doesn't mean they don't exist. Those of us who've been paying attention have known about his policies for months now. - sjmulder, on 06/13/2008, -0/+17It appears that you don't have the slightest idea how much the presidential election matters to the -whole- world.
- dinot, on 06/13/2008, -2/+18"Work for a noble nation, and don't worry about what the world thinks."
You know who else thinks like that? Myanmar and North Korea. - i4ybrid, on 06/13/2008, -5/+21Which one? There are too many.
- tehHardcorez, on 06/13/2008, -0/+16God damn, I wish I could drop people like you into a volcano. President George Bush is a heaping, steaming pile of *****.
- Hetman, on 06/13/2008, -3/+19Agreed, and where do you think the government is getting this foreign Aid? They are taxing you, me and everyone else in america. The government does not have money, it has our taxes. And it will just keep taking until someone stands up and stops them. And it is not going to be McCain or Obama.
- saikyan, on 06/13/2008, -1/+17FZZU
You're completely right.
Also, sorry about the above commentators. We're not ALL *****, I promise. - liquidpele, on 06/13/2008, -7/+23Oh God... PLEASE don't get political news from Digg or Reddit. While they do have interesting stories, a lot of the stuff is rumor or biased with a very clear agenda, and they are typically so left-wing it's crazy, and only represent a fraction of the US population.
You're best bet is to look through the websites of the actual candidates and view their plans and speeches. There doesn't seem to be any non-biased political resource anymore that I know of (CNN is close but doesn't have much detailed info).
If you want the world point of view, I usually look at BBC, but can anyone recommend other sites or news feeds? - inactive, on 06/13/2008, -1/+16I don't know what your definition of ***** is but mine starts kicking in around the 25% approval mark. Bush has already clearly and publicly stated that the opinion of the public and polls do not affect his decision making at all, if your opinion is so irrelevant to him, why should you have to show him respect?
- actorboy, on 06/13/2008, -6/+21I think most of the world wants a US that plays nice with others...or at least won't invade them at the drop of a hat.
- drstock, on 06/13/2008, -4/+19US reputation was very good in the most parts of the world during Clinton's administration. Maybe you're too young to remember.
- inactive, on 06/13/2008, -26/+41Or maybe its because Obama will give them our money?
http://www.aim.org/aim-column/obamas-global-tax-pr ...
The "Global Poverty Act," sponsored by Democratic presidential candidate and Senator Barack Obama, is up for a Senate vote on Thursday and could result in the imposition of a global tax on the United States. The bill, which has the support of many liberal religious groups, makes levels of U.S. foreign aid spending subservient to the dictates of the United Nations.
How any American can support a man who wants to give our money to the UN has a mental disorder. YOU NEED MEDS. Btw, I abhore mcInsane as well. America is screwed. - Arcesius, on 06/13/2008, -9/+23Boo Pakistan and Turkey... Yay France and Tazmania!!... err.... Tanzania....
- inactive, on 06/13/2008, -8/+22Seeing how the U.S meddles with other countries affairs, I believe the world has a right to voice their opinion.
- bicyclethief, on 06/13/2008, -6/+20If people voted their pocketbook, they'd vote for Obama:
(CNN Crunches Obama and McCain Tax Plans)
http://youtube.com/watch?v=9fbxpMw4mco - HenvY, on 06/13/2008, -7/+20anyone got a larger pic?
- inactive, on 06/13/2008, -0/+13"It appears that you don't have the slightest idea how little I give a ***** about the rest of the world."
Oh we're fully aware of your contempt for the rest of the world, Hold strong with your brothers, Liberia & Myanmar, Keep the imperial system alive!
"The metric system is the tool of the devil!!! My car gets 40 rods to the hogshead, and that's the way I likes it" - inactive, on 06/13/2008, -2/+14So what happens if McCain wins then? You all think it's in the bag, just like Gore, just like Kerry. So what will you do if Obama doesn't win?
- ralphthemagi, on 06/13/2008, -2/+14It's actually just a copy and paste job from the AP with no citation.
- WasabiBomb, on 06/13/2008, -9/+21You might want to look up the definition of the word "socialism".
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means. - DieselGrunge, on 06/13/2008, -1/+13Maybe they're Ron Paul supporters.
