- niradg, on 10/14/2008, -10/+135Genius. Absolute genius.
- PhunkyBob, on 10/14/2008, -10/+106Now that's a maverick if I've ever seen one!
- WITFITS, on 10/14/2008, -3/+79Can't stop to vote. Must get 20 consecutive burnouts for achievement.
Damn. Hit a bus. - darkchild82, on 10/14/2008, -11/+68Just wait for someone from McCain's team to tell him that this game "promotes reckless high speed driving" and "crazy crashes".
- inactive, on 10/14/2008, -6/+59McCain is trying to advertise on the Atari 2600 and ColecoVision.
- kangy3213, on 10/14/2008, -6/+48Gamers for Obama
- mediaspree, on 10/14/2008, -4/+38My Friends, The gooks kept me in an Xbox for 5 years. I know about the xbox.
- acroyear2, on 10/14/2008, -7/+40Listen, whoever you may support, from a media and technology standpoint this is very interesting and the way things will be in the future. These guys are breaking new ground when it comes to campaigning.
- SpecificObject, on 10/14/2008, -5/+33Didn't McCain invent the Xbox?
- inactive, on 10/14/2008, -10/+37Respect. Now that's a tech-savvy candidate.
- Kidsturk, on 10/14/2008, -2/+26You flatter them.
Their counter-attack will be to sponsor the Wall Street Journal crossword. - sockpuppets, on 10/14/2008, -2/+25McCain's car is easy to spot in burnout- it's the one with the left blinker left on.
- mgraham80, on 10/14/2008, -7/+27Gear change we can believe in.
- inactive, on 10/14/2008, -2/+20McCain has been playable for years as an Orc in most versions of World of Warcraft.
- troyfoley, on 10/14/2008, -2/+20Dugg for Holly Rockwood being director of corporate communications at Electronic Arts and not a stripper.
- niradg, on 10/14/2008, -1/+17Is that why Jack Thompson is supporting Sarah Palin? Get a ***** clue.
http://digg.com/politics/Jack_Thompson_offers_to_h ... - greenlight2001, on 10/14/2008, -4/+19My friends, I tried to play Wii Fit, but I couldn't not get my arms above my head.
- dinot, on 10/14/2008, -3/+18Palin camp: Let's call My Pet Rock!
- jpurnell, on 10/14/2008, -1/+15Wow, they ***** GET IT.

A person who joined Digg on March 2nd, 2006
"Christian, husband, father, conservative, republican, computer professional, musician."
Glad you didn't include comedian on that list. - DVmaker, on 10/14/2008, -1/+14I just got my McCain decoder ring! I can't wait to sit by the radio and wait for the secret message.
- Tyorant, on 10/14/2008, -0/+12Let's spin it the other way...if these were Mccain ads how ***** off would you be?
I would. A lot.
I don't want adds in my games, let alone ads telling me who to vote for. - offrdbandit, on 10/14/2008, -3/+15Nothing more obnoxious than in-game advertising...
...especially political advertising.
I'd rather play Rad Racer than look at that *****.
This is why I don't buy EA games. - OremLK, on 10/14/2008, -0/+12I don't know, I think McCain would probably enjoy the crashing part.
- MischiefGirl, on 10/14/2008, -2/+12was it the straight talk express?
- Kidsturk, on 10/14/2008, -1/+11I don't think individuals' stance on video gaming has to parrot their party's attitude. It's a personal thing.
- Inuyashasama, on 10/14/2008, -4/+13Seriously, I'd be pissed if something like this popped up in a game I PAID for...doesn't matter who it's for. I play games to temporarily get away from this stuff, and with this, it still gets shoved in my face...I already know who I'm voting for...
- graemee, on 10/14/2008, -0/+9Intellivison, the graphics are better and more colourful.
- angryfirelord, on 10/14/2008, -2/+11No, it's horrible. Not because of Obama, but because of what this will spread out to. I see enough damn ads day to day and one of the things that helps me "escape" is the nice, isolated world known as video games. The last thing I want to see are companies selling me stuff or politicians trying to get me vote. Sorry, but my computer and/or TV screen is not a billboard.
- Kidsturk, on 10/14/2008, -3/+11You're right that we make our jokes, but it's the conservative candidate who, when asked if he used Mac or PC, confessed he was completely computer illiterate and got his wife to get his emails and internet news.
And while both parties may be politically against video game violence, the liberals will stand up for the right for adults to play adult games, in the same way they've stood up against censorship on many fronts. - sockpuppets, on 10/14/2008, -0/+8Is that the border fence?
- schkura, on 10/14/2008, -4/+12Breaking News: McCain has purchased in-game advertising on the Commodore 64.
- baglady215, on 10/14/2008, -3/+11Hater. You're buried.
- Whaines, on 10/14/2008, -1/+8Desperate to stay ahead?
- DatVillain83, on 10/14/2008, -2/+9"Most gamers are 20-40 year old males"
I'd say that's a perfect reason to campaign in games! - diggduggDOOM, on 10/14/2008, -0/+7Then don't buy games with real advertising in them.
There are only a handful of games that do this right now (although it's sure to be a growing trend - even more reason to boycott these kinds of games). - inactive, on 10/14/2008, -0/+7ACROSS

How you rescue America! - iheartcrack, on 10/14/2008, -7/+14In other news...McCain-Palin places competing ads on SIMPSON'S PINBALL plungers!
- raehtz10, on 10/14/2008, -2/+9I saw an ad on the boards for NHL 09 for Obama. What do I care, I don't see them and get mad. There are ads on the boards in real life, therefore the game has them as well. Better than fake ads for Sorny Electronics or Blabatt's Blue beer.
- loganro, on 10/14/2008, -2/+8How did I know that someone would spin that.
- farsetti, on 10/14/2008, -1/+7November 2nd? Sorry buddy two more days of suffering cause the election is on November 4th!
- Kapwan, on 10/14/2008, -7/+13I love this, I would love to see how the McCain campaign will try and put a negative spin on this, when McCain doesn't even know how to use email.
- inactive, on 10/14/2008, -0/+6I love the fake ads in the GTA series.
- bbland, on 10/14/2008, -1/+6hah the funny thing is that there are 2 Obama ads on this page as I type. talk about saturation. :)
- barc0de, on 10/14/2008, -0/+5Yeah - I know that - I am a 35 year old gamer - i was just saying the criticism was false. His statement was talking about kids - the advert was aimed at adults. It is that distinction that the media and pundits refuse to understand.
- Kidsturk, on 10/14/2008, -4/+9Nice placement. Certainly got more word-of-mouth than your average roadside billboard!
But then most people don't pirouette past average roadside billboards in slow-motion balls of crumpled metal. - inactive, on 10/14/2008, -1/+6Once again, you miss the point.
It's sad too, because this is the future of how Presidents will win in the USA. The era of who has the biggest mud slinging shovel is coming to an end. - Shiftyeyedgoat, on 10/14/2008, -2/+7I just turned it on and can confirm this further. It's already an insult that I'm receiving advertisements during a video game that I paid for, but now I'm forced to endure political bombardment as well?
I don't even know what to say. - macsox, on 10/14/2008, -1/+6I know! The Sunday before Election Day is always the greatest.
