- dennisrhidalgo, on 06/10/2008, -12/+48Awesome! It is our task to broaden that gap now. Let's get to work for that change we want; for that change we deserve; for that change we have been talking about!
- westerner22, on 06/10/2008, -9/+29And this is only for the starts, John McCain! People are really tired of the current economy, tired of the lies about the unnecessary war, tired of the unbalanced republican budget, tired of the prospect of 5 dollars gas, tired of families working full time and cutting down on their groceries. The primaries are over! If you want real change from these failed policies help Obama become our next president.
Obama '08 - afruff23, on 06/10/2008, -1/+19Morpheus?
- nyirendac, on 06/10/2008, -6/+21Though I am stay thousands of miles away from USA, I am impressed with Obama's approach to issues. He rocks. With him at the helm of the world's most powerful cointry, the whole world will stand to benefit immmensively. Americans, please do not make a mistake by not voting for OBAMA this November. You must know that when USA makes a mistake, the world suffers the consequences.
- chaos7, on 06/10/2008, -1/+14great pic 8-)
- DenaL, on 06/10/2008, -6/+19When Hillary's supporters, independents, and thinking Republicans examine Barack Obama's stand on the issues and realize that he will be the first President not owing anything to PACS or lobbyists, I am confident this gap will widen into a landslide victory in November for Obama. Obama will restore the democratic process to the people and end the strangle-hold of wealthy interest groups.
- CarStan, on 06/10/2008, -0/+12I agree with you. I still remember in horror the economic groth and positive budget the last democratic president left behind.
If it weren't for George W. and his doubling of the nations debt and huge increase in public spending i cant imagine in what a horrible shape the state would be in right now. - sdott313, on 06/10/2008, -6/+17Obama is the buisness, lets keep the support flowing.
- chaos7, on 06/10/2008, -1/+11well said! i will be voting for him!
- gerbil20, on 06/10/2008, -2/+11The same way he cures cancer and feeds the poor.
- inactive, on 06/10/2008, -4/+12Black voters are helping the country whether you like it or not.
- DD2CC2U, on 06/10/2008, -9/+16Has anyone else noticed how much John McCain lies? It seems McCain cannot say the same position on policies to two different people. If McCain talks to person "A" he says he stands for this policy, but the next day he is talking to person "B" and then states he is against the same policy he told person "A" he was pro for.
McCain will say and do anything to get elected. I do not trust the man. Vote the Bum OUT! - freexe, on 06/10/2008, -3/+10Are you kidding? You guys manage to re-elect Bush. BUSH ffs!
- MoneyEnergy, on 06/10/2008, -8/+15Obama's hot stuff.
- inactive, on 06/10/2008, -7/+13As cynical as I am about politics, I really think Obama has this election licked. McCain is just too much of a colossal jackass to be elected, even with the hordes of retarded voters.
- jboi, on 06/10/2008, -3/+8Obama places healthcare before economy, the guy has a vision. McCain will fail if he tries to troll Obama.

http://www.johnmccain.com/Informing/Issues/ - inactive, on 06/10/2008, -2/+7Remember though, historically the GOP candidate is down before the RNC when that happens they get a boost. So he may have a lead now, kerry had a lead 4 years ago until the RNC.
http://www.electoral-vote.com tracks many polls, some by universities, some by polling companies, and they put it all together so you can get a feel for things. They also tell you which polls they used, let you download the data, you can compare that against the sites that generated it, they explain how they do the maps so you can verify those results too. In that regard its not biased, since all they are doing is relaying the polling data.
The kerry/bush graph of opinions based on polling data is at http://www.electoral-vote.com/evp2008/Pres/ec_grap ... if you want to use it for date/time reference to what is going on this year. - isaactwito, on 06/10/2008, -1/+6No backbone or clear cut goals? Do you support McCain then? The guy who's plan for Iraq is to be there until at least 2013, when he won't be president because he doesn't plan on running again? How the ***** is that good planning at all? Explain *****! I'm sick of you right wingers not backing any single ***** word that comes out of your shriveled, soulless lips.
- xexx, on 06/10/2008, -1/+6Well he's from a country I've hardly ever heard of and obviously English isn't his first language, stop being a grammar nazi.
- axcess99, on 06/10/2008, -0/+5try again
see http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/anthem.asp and http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Does_Obama_say_the_Pledg ...
he does, there is tones of video showing him saying and putting his hand over his heart. The photos in question are the National Anthem not the pledge. And before you jump on that, there are also video of bush, mecain, hillary, tons of politician not putting hand over heart for the anthem (while others around them are doing so).
you should check out the rest of http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/obama.asp
especially the ones about the various emil chain letters like http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/50lies.asp and a couple others. - inactive, on 06/10/2008, -0/+4I live in Amsterdam, we have a Queen, where is this president you speak of? The handle implies ireland, where I moved from, not many blacks in politics in ireland.
So when exactly is my next president going to be a black man? And which one? It wont be obama that is for sure, even if he wins the US election I dont live there.
Further some of the bumps *will* follow historical trends, to claim otherwise is silly. Obama got a bump after the decision that he would be the nominee, coincidence? When the DNC happens, its likely he will get another bump. When the RNC happens its likely McCain will get a bump, so likely in fact that it would be suprising if it didnt happen. - xexx, on 06/10/2008, -0/+4Am I the only one who think these polls are even less than accurate and Obama will be favored far more when it's actually time to vote? It's one thing to respond to a poll question when asked but it's another to get off your butt and spend hours in the line waiting to vote. It seems from the party nominations that democrats got out to vote almost 2 to 1 compared to republicans and I think this will easily translate to the November elections, perhaps not quite as big of a margin, but I think I'd definitely want to be the democratic nominee this election... I'll be surprised if this election doesn't end in a landslide for Obama.
- FairDinkumMate, on 06/10/2008, -0/+4First of all - AIPAC is not a PAC!
Secondly, of course Obama(& any political candidate for that matter) is going to talk to interest groups. The issue is whether they take money from the organisation. If Obama doesn't, then he "will be the first President not owing anything to PACS or lobbyists" as DenaL stated. - MacEnvy, on 06/10/2008, -0/+4Bob Barr has been a "libertarian" for all of 5 years. You got conned.
- Gutterpunk, on 06/10/2008, -0/+4Damn straight! I wish I was American just to vote for the guy. If he continues like he does now, he is destined to become one of the great leader (or one of the most eloquent at least)
- poxonyou, on 06/10/2008, -0/+4Everyone, who has a chance of becoming president, panders to AIPAC. It sucks ass, but somehow they came to represent the "Jewish vote". Piss off AIPAC, watch your Jewish voters vanish. The only way to remedy this pro-Israel problem is for a non-Zionist pro-Jewish interest group to take over as the interest group representing Jewish Americans. Don't expect a politician, who actually wants to win, to be that bold.
If it means anything, Obama is seen as the weakest of the 3 in being pro-Israel. - Gerz1219, on 06/10/2008, -0/+4http://www.nytimes.com/2008/06/09/us/politics/09tr ...
- schnitzel247, on 06/10/2008, -0/+3dugg for the BA picture
- TimOgg, on 06/10/2008, -2/+5PLEASE make sure this man is the next president,
You have got this far, don't drop the ball now, for all our sakes.
please - Deanblackoak, on 06/10/2008, -1/+4Obama is not an ultra-liberal. I know, I am. He's barely a liberal at all.
- inactive, on 06/10/2008, -0/+3The hell it ain't. The more Obama opens his mouth the more people are seeing that he is not about change. He's about the status quo with a shiny new veneer. He's nothing and neither is McCain. Pick whichever one you want, it won't "change" a thing.
Obama has you all fooled. - Elranzer, on 06/10/2008, -1/+4The sad thing is that the gap is still only 6%. It's amazing that there are that many people who would still vote for a Republican after the last 8 years of ***** (because they have done such a good job!)
- je12u, on 06/10/2008, -0/+3Please provide examples
- CarStan, on 06/10/2008, -0/+3It's right that you can't atribute the good economy solely to the Clinton administration (although his VP Al Gore helped the internet to become as big as it was in the late 90's). But they did great in balancing the budget.
On the other side, you CAN blame the Bush administration for their horrifying spending policy and the exorbitant inrease in military spending. With a president Al Gore the USA would definately not be in Iraq today, therefore have a much more balanced budget. And with it, the fed would be fitted much better to react to the current economic crisis than it is now. With a smart president who actually knows something about economy (and isn#t dependent on shadowy lobbysts that advidse him like MCCain) maybe the foreclosure crises could have been foreseen earlier (not prevented, but the gov, could have intervened earlier).
An other example is the energy crisis. It has been a fact for years that the oil price will rise, and that it is essential to invest in new echnologies and (more important) to uodate the current once and make them more efficient. If you believe in Global warming or not, it is essential to lower the consumtion of fossil fuels no matter what, because the prices will continue to climb from now on forever. With a Gore administration the USA would in a position considering energy consumption and prices. And Lower gas/fuel consumption won't have such a bad influence on the economy either. - inactive, on 06/10/2008, -7/+10I love Obama
- Sogui, on 06/10/2008, -2/+5This is within the margin for one of the polls, he has had a 6% lead many times, including this Feb/March. Every candidate gets a "bump" after favorable news like this, just like Obama will gain a large lead after the DNC and McCain will get a decent lead after the RNC. Bumps are temporary, bumps are expected, bumps are not a story.
This is not news, this is Huffington Spam. - jaznova, on 06/10/2008, -3/+5Wow these comments all coming out at the same time time. Remember that article about these *****. Vocal minority and so on. I'm not sayin your getting paid, I'm Jus sayin...
backbone, clear cut goals, Israeli lobby, I'm voting for Bob Barr, negative slant on the word "change". We don't need a lesson on reverse psychology
I wouldn't normaly justify you trolls, but try not to be so trolly, if you want to do your trolly thing. And I'm not really talking to you trolls,
There is a rush of these comments coming out currently at a range of 26 to 9 minutes ago. This is not the people's voice kids. - zephyear, on 06/10/2008, -0/+2yes i know about both
and to be fair on the patriot act, it was going to get passed anyway, he helped declaw it a bit. - xexx, on 06/10/2008, -0/+2Personally I agree with the fingerprint registry, it could help solve thousands of crimes.
- itanshi, on 06/10/2008, -0/+2Eh, I would not call it spam, its more like following wine releases or cubs wins.
- luckyguy2000, on 06/10/2008, -0/+2is this mccain supporter arguing style? attack the person instead of the argument? "OMG HES BLACK!" sick of this stuff!
- licnyc, on 06/10/2008, -0/+2Its traitors like you that we have a lot of the problems we have today. Too many people don't even bother to find out about the real issues and can only comment on dumb inane things. If you can't focus on what is important to america , you should leave the conversation to people who can. There's lots of porn on the internet to keep you occupied.
- KJSatz, on 06/10/2008, -1/+3Yeah yeah Obama isn't perfect, but at least he isn't a complete dumb ***** like McCain?
- EtherGnat, on 06/10/2008, -0/+2...because it's only those on the left that want to do things like that. /extreme sarcasm
- alapoet, on 06/10/2008, -7/+9Let's keep and widen that bounce!
If you care about the future of this country, talk to everyone you know. - P0peRatz0, on 06/10/2008, -5/+7Yeah, they're called "Republicans".
- p9s50W5k4GUD2c6, on 06/10/2008, -0/+2Nope... Neo.
It's all about the BLUE pill baby!

Gallup 2%
Rasmussen 4% - Fullvinyl, on 06/10/2008, -0/+2Last I checked, this was the United States, not Zimbabwe. We don't detain or kill undesirable candidates here; not even Hillary.
