- inactive, on 10/12/2008, -10/+134What? The wingnuts have lied about Obama? No. You can't be serious.
- kingofinternet, on 10/12/2008, -11/+127the mccain campaign seems to run on lies only the hardcore rabid right believe.
- voxlisa999, on 10/12/2008, -4/+106This was actually debunked last month when the GOP tried it. Ultra Conservative Republican Senator Chuck Hagel and Senator Jack Reed who were with Obama the entire time in Iraq on that trip, both came out and said this was a TOTAL LIE and the White House backed them up too. More sick LIES from Palin. Palin is the sickest LIAR the world has ever seen. She has not uttered one truthful sentence yet.
- pasadenavoter, on 10/12/2008, -6/+58What kind of example is this woman setting for her children?
- ThsGuyRightHere, on 10/12/2008, -4/+44This attack had the potential to hold water for all of about 5 minutes. Now I'll sit and wait for the rabid right who were foaming at the mouth when the story first broke to come back and say "my bad, looks like the story didn't have merit after all".
- wonderchemist, on 10/13/2008, -1/+40Of course he's in a tank. A tank is one of the few safe places in Iraq.
- pimpofpixels, on 10/13/2008, -4/+42The bight side of this:
Palin's stock is so low right now, that any time she puts herself in the national spotlight, it's good for the Obama campaign. - Hillsfar, on 10/13/2008, -1/+39Even the Republicans know she's lying. So do they really want to elect someone who will lie to them?!? Especially with the world economy in crisis, the last thing we need to hear are lies.
- ThsGuyRightHere, on 10/13/2008, -2/+30Sorry, but you're confusing agreements. At the time this was an issue (read that, it's dead now) there were two agreements being negotiated, one of them was a short term agreement and the other was long term. The strategic framework agreement is the long term agreement, which will go before the Iraqi legislature. Obama said that it should likewise go before the American Congress.
- Eiknujrac, on 10/13/2008, -0/+27Yea, just like the Michelle Obama "whitey" tape? You know the one that is gonna come out any day and just totally destroy the Obama campaign?
Give me a break. - charm803, on 10/13/2008, -0/+24It's been refuted by Hagel himself. He was there.
It was a non issue, but once again, Palin had to open her trap and speak without thinking and just says things that are lies. - grbradsk, on 10/13/2008, -0/+23Palin is not lying. She's too damn stupid for that. She's just reading a script that she doesn't even understand, winking and trying to seem homey in her best fakie-folky way she knows how.
- hinchb, on 10/13/2008, -0/+21Keep wishing.
- SheilaNoya, on 10/13/2008, -0/+21Palin isn't going to take the reigns of anything.
She's going to be shipped back to Alaska on November 5th.
She's going to spend the next 4 years looking at the frozen tundra, wondering why so many Americans can't stand the sight of her. - charm803, on 10/13/2008, -0/+19Ask Bristol.
- SpeedSteamBoat, on 10/13/2008, -3/+21This ***** needs to stop. Seriously.
- pimpofpixels, on 10/13/2008, -1/+19Do you konw that you're full of *****, or are you really this confused?
- AugustusOsari, on 10/13/2008, -0/+17Repugnicans are big fans of the "Ignorance is Bliss" meme.
- thelif, on 10/13/2008, -0/+17That...never happens.
- abajaj2280, on 10/13/2008, -2/+19I apologize, but everyone is making Ron Paul seem like a god.
Digg me down, i don't care, because i need to get this off my chest:
Ron Paul isn't a god, so stop praising him. He's a constitutionalist, i respect that, but we aren't in 1800 and we need certain laws to keep us safe. Ron Paul makes it seem like he's going to bring down the federal power and give people ALL the power in the world.
Please, everyone. Ron Paul isn't your god. Just because he has the slogan as REVOLUTION it doesn't mean that he's going to bring one. - medfreak, on 10/13/2008, -0/+17LoL! Do you I love how you squirm and roll in your filth knowing fully the immense loss you will take on November 4th. Keep rolling in that filth of yours, because you clearly seem to have not read the article.
Keep squirming. - pimpofpixels, on 10/13/2008, -0/+17You need to stop futilely trying to destroy Obama. He's a much better choice for president than McCain/Bush.
- SpeedSteamBoat, on 10/13/2008, -0/+15A dishonest one.
- BlacklabelSAR, on 10/13/2008, -0/+14Thou thalt not lie? Hypocritical lying fake Christians.
- duckley, on 10/13/2008, -0/+13Exactly right.
McCain and Palin are not running to win the White House any more.
They are playing to the hard-core base Republicans to KEEP them enthused, so that Senatorial, Congressional and state elections have a chance of staying Republican.
THIS is why their preaching to the choir. - Lloydinator, on 10/13/2008, -5/+17The "McCain/Palin lie counter" addon for Firefox just crashed... and I added it yesterday.
- paker, on 10/13/2008, -4/+16I was really surprised talking to my 74 year old neighbor yesterday. She's comes from a family of stanch republicans but she sees right through the barrage of McCaine/Pailn lies.
- kmoed, on 10/13/2008, -0/+11There is absolutely nothing Un-American about Obama, Everything you stated above is off a cue card for Sara Palin, Not the truth.
Try doing some thinking for yourself for once, instead of following along like a sheep. - 5xSTUN, on 10/13/2008, -0/+11Wait, are you saying she really CAN'T see Russia from her back yard?!
- martalli, on 10/13/2008, -0/+11I hope so, too.
- BradHAWK, on 10/13/2008, -2/+13They must have him mixed up with Ronald Reagan.
http://www.wrmea.com/backissues/1087/8710001.html - Mujokan, on 10/13/2008, -1/+12This is a big hodge-podge. You'd be better off sticking to the pork accusations, though I don't know who you'll find in American politics that's squeaky clean there. That shows that, yes, Obama is a typical senator in that regard. Not the best, certainly not the worst.
The Acorn thing has *absolutely nothing to do with Obama*. There is no incentive for Obama or the Democratic party to encourage false registrations. They cannot be converted into votes, and all they do is slow down the process of registering legitimate voters. This issue is partly negligence by Acorn and partly exaggeration by the GOP. You just damage your credibility referring to that.
The Wright thing is blown way out of proportion. This is a fiery civil-rights guy who can sometimes get carried away with his own rhetoric, and has a big ego. But he is a respected figure in mainstream Christian circles, he's been invited to the White House, he does a lot of good in Chicago. A few very short sound-bites from decades of sermons doesn't give an accurate impression of who he is and what he does.
As for McCain, it is very curious watching him stumbling around fighting his own campaign half the time, caving in to them the other half.
My main decision point is that I agree with 80% of the Obama policy platform, and I agree with about 10% of the McCain platform. As far as I'm concerned, Obama has shown in the past year that he has the temperament for the job; and his dedication to public service ever since college is beyond question. Case closed. - brainflakes, on 10/13/2008, -0/+10Heh, from your first paragraph I thought you were making a sarcastic jab at McCain supporters, but I guess you're actually serious? Well don't worry if you submit that you might get some McCain Blog Action Points (tm).
Also I'm pretty sure that America was founded on the LIBERAL ideals of limited and transparent government, freedom of thought and speech and individual rights. Maybe you don't actually know what the word liberal means?
Oh btw McCain wasn't wearing his flag pin at the debate, does that mean he hates america? http://richmonddemocrat.blogspot.com/2008/09/where ... - Mujokan, on 10/13/2008, -0/+10On the other hand, Christopher Hitchens provided good evidence that Palin's best buddy Kissinger sabotaged the 1968 Paris Peace Talks, extending the Vietnam War.
"Chennault played a crucial role on behalf of the Nixon campaign in the wrecking of the 1968 Paris peace talks which could have ended the Vietnam War. She arranged the contact with South Vietnamese Ambassador Bui Diem whom Richard Nixon met in secret from July 1968 in New York. It was through Chennault's intercession that Nixon advised Saigon to refuse participation in the talks, promising a better deal once elected. Records of FBI wiretaps show that Chennault phoned Bui Diem on November 2 with the message "hold on, we are gonna win." President Nguyễn Văn Thiệu obliged and the talks achieved almost no progress by the time Johnson left office. "
(Wikipedia) - DubYaSee, on 10/13/2008, -2/+11Everyone seems to have forgotten that Geo. HW Bush (as then head of the CIA and Vice Pres. candidate) intervened with the Iranians, delaying the return of the Tehran Embassy hostages, before the Carter/Reagan election.
That the Republicans have been able to cast themselves as the party of patriotism is the tragic irony of our times. - mwilhelm, on 10/13/2008, -0/+9Did they have to take it down and add another digit?
- ThsGuyRightHere, on 10/13/2008, -0/+8I'm just saying, maybe it could... just this once.
- powwow366, on 10/13/2008, -1/+9No one has ever tried to say he didn't know any of those groups or people. What people have pointed out is that Obama doesn't agree with Wright, just as Mcain doesn't agree with his pastor, ACORN is just a group to get poor people to vote, do some research, and Obama only worked on a committee with Ayers. No one is denying these things, only pointing out that the context in which they are presented is misleading if not downright false. But continue taking in those lies, I'm sure the GOP loves having the ignorant vote, it seems the only type they can get these days.
- pimpofpixels, on 10/13/2008, -2/+10You are just grasping at straws trying to make a bad case against a great candidate.
McCain... quick to admit his mistakes? Remember when he said we'd be 'greeted as liberators' in Iraq? When has he admitted that mistake?
McCain abandoned his integrity, and jumped on the Bush wagon for the chance at the presidency. That's not integrity.
If McCain gels elected, it will be Bush's administration all over again. There will be a different puppet at the top, but there'll be the same people pulling his strings.
THIS COUNTRY CAN NOT AFFORD MORE OF THE SAME!
Quit rocking the boat, and get with the program.
Obama is going to be a great president in a dark time. - bbtweb, on 10/13/2008, -0/+8"Has any one noticed that our national budget is spending more than its taking in?"
Yes we did, it's called the Bush Crusade...I mean the Iraq war. - Matri, on 10/13/2008, -0/+7You're gonna be waiting a long time, buddy.
- pimpofpixels, on 10/13/2008, -1/+8*but I hope Palin has figured it out before she takes the reigns of the cabinet and possibly the presidency.*
Great... not I'm covered in vomit.
thanks. - jrm125, on 10/13/2008, -0/+7Links *rolls eyes*
I used to have coffee in the same place as Timothy McVeigh pretty frequently. I'm pretty sure under your definition that links me to him.
Give me a break, bro. The best is living outside the country...lmao. Tons of people do that. In fact, if more did that I think they'd have a much better perspective on our world. - sx66gns, on 10/13/2008, -2/+9Even the Iraqis like him , that's respect.
Imagine what this will do for our Foreign policy , people liking him across the board. - felman87, on 10/13/2008, -0/+7I haven't logged into digg for quite some time, but I did just to thumb you up.
- queenbee93, on 10/13/2008, -0/+7Hey, 101308: I tried to dig you down again and again, but this damned site would only let me cast one thumbs down vote. Sorry. :D
- Deathfrogg, on 10/13/2008, -0/+7Except that the Goopers were all for Bush Sr. flying over to Paris in 79 to convince the Iranians to hold onto the embassy hostages untill after the 1980 election in exchange for modern anti-aircraft missle systems. It was quite successful, And Bush Sr. pretty much admitted to it fifteen years later after he had left office. The greatest GOP triumph of the 20th century was an act of sedition and treason.
- finn, on 10/13/2008, -1/+8not sure if this is the first time, but now that we have other countries fact-checking/correcting what these folks say...well, think about it, it's just ugly.
- JoeMondo, on 10/13/2008, -1/+7"How could we know?"
That's the mantra of the GO.
"How could we know Al Queda would attack us (other than the presidential briefing saying so)?"
"How could we know New Orleans could be flooded (other than the specific warning that it might be)?"
If the party can't be responsible for knowing a damn thing they have no business governing. -
