He was very close to her and he talked about her all the time. She made it all this way and then she never got to see him cross the finish line. It just rips your heart out to think about it. If I felt this sad, then I can't even imagine the kind of grief that Obama must be feeling.
He's already exceeded her wildest expectations and inspired millions of people all over the world. She must have been extremely proud of him.
