- Tex, on 07/28/2008, -13/+173If people're voting based purely upon "experience," the obvious choice is John McCain, not Hillary Clinton. A president's judgment is what matters most; Hillary and McCain both showed their lack of judgment when they endorsed invading Iraq.
- matt70, on 03/03/2008, -2/+63Hillary Clinton blew the most important decision of her political career. Just because much of America was fooled by the pro-Iraq rhetoric, does not mean she should have voted to send America to war without even bothering to do her homework. Would she have taken that responsibility so lightly if she cared about the troops like she's now claiming?
- underdugg, on 03/03/2008, -5/+58Clinton *does* have experience receiving lobbyist and corporate PAC money -- and allowing them to write her policy and legislation.
- mochaman, on 03/03/2008, -3/+37Her washington experience claims is laughable indeed. Obama is right judgement matter, because if she were to face McCain in the fall she is not going to be able to play th experience card against him. I hope she doesn't get the nomination, she is already already boxing herself in against the GOP machine.
- RansomHoldiay, on 03/03/2008, -0/+32yep. and now we've done that. and look what it got us. one mans ass worth thousands of lives?

"Apparently, the Clinton campaign read Sen. Obama’s remarks about as carefully as Sen. Clinton read the National Intelligence Estimate," Obama spokesman Bill Burton said in a statement. "The truth is the chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee in 2002 was Bob Graham, and he read the NIE, voted against the war, and counseled other Democrats to read the NIE before they voted." - KrayzieKyd, on 03/03/2008, -0/+22Hillary didn't have the experience to read the Intelligence Estimate. Wait, did he just call her stupid? Whoa.
- sponeil, on 03/03/2008, -4/+25Don't forget that Hillary and McCain both endorse invading Iran as well. Obama is 100% right that we need to open up lines of communication with our so-called "enemies".
- adooga, on 03/03/2008, -2/+22There's also a great deal of pro-Obama and anti-Clinton voting in the primaries...
- jlee2081, on 03/03/2008, -2/+20Now, I have to say when it came to making the most important foreign policy decision of our generation – the decision to invade Iraq – Senator Clinton got it wrong. She didn’t read the National Intelligence Estimate, Jay Rockefeller read it, but she didn’t read it. I don’t know what all that experience got her because in my experience if you have a National Intelligence Estimate and the Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee says, 'You should read this, this is why I’m voting against the war,' then you should probably read it. I don’t know how much experience you need for that.
She didn’t first give diplomacy a chance. And to this day, she won’t even admit that her vote was a mistake or even that it was a vote for war. And so besides that decision to invade Iraq, we’re still waiting to hear Senator Clinton tell us what precise foreign policy experience that she is claiming that makes her prepared to answer that phone call at three in the morning. - wipis, on 03/03/2008, -2/+18Exactly. That hooker down the street turning tricks on the corner for the past 20 years has a lot of experience. But boy has she made some bad choices.
- Eiknujrac, on 03/03/2008, -0/+15Especially when you gave a very detailed, concise speech against the war during election time, which came after the 9/11 attacks when invading ANY country would have been popular.
- cg4et, on 03/03/2008, -1/+15Boy that Kool-Aid must taste good.
- johndi, on 03/03/2008, -2/+16Second hand experience is better than nothing, but it's really padding your resume.
- ccfoo242, on 03/03/2008, -1/+14I agree. How many poor decisions have we had to live with regardless of the president's prior experience? Not decisions made at 3am but ones that were calculated. And it seems to me like most of them involve us mucking around with some other country.
- walnoj, on 03/03/2008, -1/+14You are a ***** idiot.
- aedenp, on 03/03/2008, -0/+13You butchered the English language, I'll offer a correction (no need for apostrophes when pluralizing a word), and it'll be used to justify the term "grammar nazi".
Wonderful. - OneLess, on 03/03/2008, -1/+12Yeah, Obama spoke at an anti-war rally the day the Iraq war resolution was announced, but let's just delude ourselves into surmising that Obama might have voted for the war.
- inactive, on 03/03/2008, -1/+11Seems to be an intelligent bunch here indeed.
- mobbo, on 03/03/2008, -0/+10AMERICA!! ***** YA!!!
...you're an idiot. - pintomp3, on 03/03/2008, -0/+9reminds me of kucinich's response to why he didn't vote for the patriot act: "because i read it".
- Anzat, on 03/03/2008, -2/+11He didn't do a real estate deal with Rezko. Check your facts. He did a deal with the people who were selling the house, not Rezko, and the sellers said Rezko had nothing to do with the price Obama paid for his house.
- Hockey13, on 03/03/2008, -0/+9How do you use freedom to kill and destroy? What *exactly* **the ******* are you talking about?
- mrASSMAN, on 03/03/2008, -2/+11She also has experience defending the corporate interests of Walmart against the consumer.
Meanwhile Obama has the experience defending the people's civil rights against the corporations. - starkruzr, on 03/03/2008, -2/+10Yeah, being well-informed makes you a sheep.
Baaaaa, *****. - HappyEngineer, on 03/03/2008, -2/+10Jabberwolf, you mean bleeding hearts like Dick Cheney?
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/ne ... - lvp1138, on 03/03/2008, -1/+9Those that read the report AND understood it, voted against the war. Unfortunately we all know that only very few actually read it. The others believed all the propaganda and voted blindly.
- martoq, on 03/03/2008, -0/+7“Sen. Obama is so desperate to divert attention from his limited national security experience that he's not just misleading voters about Sen. Clinton, he's also misleading voters about his own supporters. That is not change you can believe in.” -- Clinton spokesperson Phil Singer
I love when politicians use a dig against their opponent as one of their campaign slogans. I don't know whose worse, Clinton or the people whispering in her ear. - arbouler, on 03/03/2008, -1/+8then why the hell didnt the senate vote to remove other tyrants as well?
i definitely dont know ***** about foreign affairs, but judging from your ***** opinion, obviously you do know ***** about it - Reaper2806, on 03/03/2008, -0/+6I think we all remember the "Sorry World" website after George Bush got re-elected. If you really want to make it up to use, get Obama to President. Us crazy Brits really like him!
- reuscel, on 03/03/2008, -0/+6If it were my job, I probably would have.
- inactive, on 03/03/2008, -2/+8You really know how to talk ***** don't you, in case you forgot, several times he said that if it came down to it, war can be declared if all other options are exhausted. Do your ***** research and stop sounding like a retard!
- n8f8, on 03/03/2008, -0/+6Before you become too judgmental, have you read the NIE? Dare you.

http://www.gwu.edu/~nsarchiv/NSAEBB/NSAEBB129/nie. ... - Anzat, on 03/03/2008, -1/+7Like marrying Bill...
- TheBogie, on 03/03/2008, -0/+5She voted for the war because as usual she does whatever the polls and her handlers tell her to do. I sometimes wonder what Hilliary actually thinks.
She really should bow out of the race. After getting her ass handed to her in the last debate she should have been shamed into quitting. - revisrev, on 03/03/2008, -0/+5This is an attack on seeming electable. Obama does have in depth plans, and he even wrote a book that discusses those plans. You can read his website to see the plans. The thing is that Obama realizes that 9 out of 10 people are not going to vote for somebody who talks about policy and plans, most people vote for charisma. I know that people shouldn't vote this way, but not everyone can be as informed as the digg user base (ha). Obama is giving the speeches and talks that are going to get the votes, which is exactly what my favorite candidate should be doing.
- theDunedan, on 03/03/2008, -2/+6Ol Pitofdoom seems to be a neocon, ay?
- lvp1138, on 03/03/2008, -0/+4err... the job WAS finished. The Gulf War was to defend Kuwait, an ally of the US, and of course, to not let Saddam take over more oil wells.
- coyote1284, on 03/03/2008, -0/+4My sarcasm meter is pinging like crazy! Should I get it recalibrated?
- MindTrigger, on 03/03/2008, -1/+5Idiots who puke up articles like this completely miss the fact that most of Obama's supporters are extremely well informed on the issues, and where each candidate stands on them. While I thoroughly enjoy Obama's speaches, I see them as icing on the cake, not the whole picture.
Having said that, I intend to vote for Obama, as I did in the primary here. Is it possible we are all being swindled by this man? Sure it is, anything is possible. Hell, we have been swindled repeatedly by Bushco, for the past 7 years. No one who voted for Bush could have expected him to be such a bad president. All we can do during this election cycle is vote for the best possible candidate. None of us has a crystal ball which tells us what this next president will actually do in office. It will be our job to make sure the job is done right this time instead of sitting back like we did with Bush. - pintomp3, on 03/03/2008, -1/+5not just any PAC, AIPAC. if you want to know how a candidate will run their foreign policy and where their loyalties lie, look no further:
http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/pages/rosnerPage.jhtm ...
note: kucinich, gravel, and paul aren't even listed. - GhostyBoy, on 03/03/2008, -0/+4It's all part of her plan to eliminate the special interests: Keep taking their money and eventually they will run out.
- ontain, on 03/03/2008, -0/+4I'm not your surgeon but I'm married to one so that's experience right?
- GhostyBoy, on 03/03/2008, -1/+5Experience means hanging around a bunch of rich ***** who have been invading, bombing and occupying foreign countries since long before 9/11, until finally climaxing into the epic ***** failure that has been Iraq, and supporting the stupidity the entire time.
Hillary's experience sucks. - StarlessKnight, on 03/03/2008, -0/+3What little there is to read for the public, it appears the alternative, INR, conclusions were more accurate than the mainstream conclusions.
- jayred, on 03/03/2008, -0/+3While I agree with what you're saying overall, it's not true that she never admitted her vote was wrong. She did so during the debate this past week.
- phazon88, on 03/03/2008, -1/+4Obama was praising one of the Rockefellers. This doesn't sound good.
- inactive, on 03/03/2008, -1/+4" Saddam Hussein represents a grave threat to the United States, and I have concluded we must use force to deal with him if all other means fail. That is the core issue, and whether we vote on it now, or in January, or in six months time, that is the issue we all have to confront.
War, if it comes to that, will cost money I dearly wish we could use for other domestic priorities, to address the very real needs that West Virginia and other states face in this tough economy. But ultimately, defending America’s citizens from danger is a responsibility whose costs we must bear." - Sen Rockefeller 10/10/2002
Prior to voting 'YES' on the AUMF.
