- inactive, on 04/26/2008, -0/+1Currently the Iraq use of force uses seven million gallons of refined fuel a day.
Elect Ron Paul and that stops, elect a Senator and it continues.
There would be plenty of supply had refinery construction and drilling permits not been stopped by CONGRESS and its unrealistic requirements for refinery construction.
Elect Ron Paul and there will be sanity and prices will come down because the dollar would not continue to decline in value.
Part of the reason the price of fuel is so high is the fact that the dollar lost value. The gold coins I bought when "W" was elected will buy more gasoline today.Did gasoline prices go up?
OR
Did the value of the dollar drop like a rock?
I would submit the value dropped significanty and the reason is in the halls of Congress as well as in the Oval Office. They have permitted our currency to become worth less. They have failed in every way to do their duty.
I am no fan of Bush and in fact I believe he is tied for the worst president in the history of the Republic.
That does not alter the fact that there's enough blame to go around and only one solution to get us back on our feet and restore prosperity. - capj71, on 04/25/2008, -1/+2Well no, the reason why gas prices are so high is because people will not cut back their consumption. It is simple supply and demand with a healthy dose of market speculation. Democrats did nothing to raise gas prices. You need to look no further than 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. to see the real culprits.
