- 140Suffolk, on 03/12/2008, -3/+6This is so self-evident --- neither Democratic hopeful has EVER accomplished anything. Hillary was the spouse of a President. That's it. Obama was...nothing. A "community organizer" ?? Notice no one EVER cites what he accomplished in this role. Anyway, mostly what a "community organizer" does is to encourage people to demand other people's stuff.
So what ARE their qualifications? He's part black and it's "time for a black president". She's a woman and "it's time for a woman president". - Kangalanatolian, on 03/12/2008, -1/+4Ok, so what has John McCain got? I could list plenty that he has got to answer for .
Our media is controlled by just a few people when it comes to elections, and they are responsible for the mess we are in. The only thing that allows proof of this is the internet. As long as the internet remains untouched, there is HOPE that people will be able to decentralize their news sources enough, to cancel the spin manufactured by the few.
The mainstream media does not offer a qualified candidate. But they are willing to stare us down until we change our minds. They are really good at that. - jlangfel, on 03/14/2008, -0/+1Please show me where the DEMOCRATS who have had the house and the senate for a little over a year now have done one single thing to rein in spending. I submit it is quite the opposite of their campaign rhetoric.
- jlangfel, on 03/14/2008, -0/+1It's frankly very scary with the three offering their service to the country as president. All are pretty much cut from the same cloth. All three will bring more government control of our lives and hoist the cost on the back of we the taxpayers who have a great amount of their time and energy confiscated to support government out of control at all levels Unfortunately people ruled by their emotions instead of truly thinking about what is best for the country over-all we vote on what is in it for me.
- Chitownmortgage, on 03/12/2008, -3/+4IIRC the quote was "the soft bigotry of low expectations". In other words did he get the job because he was black? Because she's female? etc. etc. Are we going to elect someone because it is "time" for their group to be acknowledged. Is this the pinnacle affirmative action? Do we need to suffer the Peter Principle in action at the highest level of government?
- MadKennyP, on 03/12/2008, -3/+3You can thank the REPUBLICANS for the massive Bush debt. They ran the House, Senate, and White House for 6 of the past 7 years.
- MadKennyP, on 03/12/2008, -4/+4This from the party that gave us George W. Bush. A man who not only didn't accomplish a SINGLE THING before entering the White House, but bankrupted or failed in every business venture he undertook. "MBA President" my a$$.
- inactive, on 03/12/2008, -5/+1The only candidate qualified to be president is not a Senator. These Senators have given us massive deficits and wars without declaration and usurpations of our rights and dignity.
None of the Senators should be our next president, none of them have any expertise in foreign policies and the results or the macroeconomic ramifications of their domestic and war agenda.
All three voted together in a rare 100-0 vote to fund the Iraq use of force and steal our liberty and for that they all deserve to lose.
