- saranac7, on 10/28/2008, -8/+542Remember dear friends, the fundamentals of the weather were bad at the time.
- Echota, on 01/05/2009, -13/+476And we know why Palin didn't want to get wet.She would have melted.
- saranac7, on 10/28/2008, -11/+457It's not canceling...it's "suspending"!
. - vrc84, on 10/28/2008, -22/+448Obama is committed to winning - McCain knows it's over
- SheilaNoya, on 10/29/2008, -14/+432To be fair... McCain was forced to cancel. If the rain washed off his $4,600 makeup job, he'd be standing there looking like a cold wet corpse.
- NRLong, on 10/28/2008, -24/+388Doesn't Obama just make you SMILE?!!?!?!?!?
- phroztbyt3, on 10/29/2008, -9/+261Guide to tell if your candidate cares for you:
1. He shows up to your scheduled rally - kismetropolis, on 10/28/2008, -22/+216Eminem had it right, apparently. This is not the first time Obama has gone on in the rain and showed the devotion to his campaign and his supporters:
To the people up top, on the side and the middle,
Come together, let's all bomb and swamp just a little
Just let it gradually build, from the front to the back
All you can see is a sea of people, some white and some black
Don't matter what color, all that matters is we gathered together
To celebrate for the same cause, no matter the weather
If it rains let it rain, yeah, the wetter the better
They ain't gonna stop us, they can't, we're stronger now more then ever,
They tell us no we say yea, they tell us stop we say go... - flashboy131, on 10/29/2008, -7/+193imagine being proud of our president, wow...
- inactive, on 10/29/2008, -10/+195Senator Obama still had 9,000+ supporters waiting for him in the rain. McCain gets number of supporters only when campaigning with Palin. Half of them are there to look up Palin's skirt, the other half still think Obama is Arab Muslim communist whose trying to destroy "Christian" America.
Besides, McCain is too old to handle the rain. - markusv3000, on 10/28/2008, -20/+135This is amazing. Thats what the hell we need. McCain is a JOKE!
- womensgroup, on 10/29/2008, -14/+127Do not let them steal the election. Voting is one of the preventions.
VOTE Now. Interactive Map at Obama Site. Hours/rules/regulations for each state..
http://www.barackobama.com/voters/ Spread the link all over the net to help people! - overtoke, on 10/29/2008, -16/+127McCain is a pussy.
- haiduz, on 10/29/2008, -8/+88In McCain's Defence... He is REALLY old and he must look out for his health. By cancelling his rally he put stayed consistent with his campaign message and put his country first by putting his health first. He is just protecting us from a palin presidency!
- wonderlandpr, on 10/29/2008, -28/+101OBAMA PROVES HE IS NO FAIR WEATHER CANDIDATE.
MCCAIN MELTS IN THE RAIN and in the Light of Truth about the spiteful and bile-filled
candidate he is.
RAIN AND MCCAIN GO AWAY....WE'LL TALK TO YOU AFTER OBAMA'S ELECTION DAY. - IamSunstorm, on 10/29/2008, -4/+76Because a rain address looks incredibly badass?
- ryanonfire, on 10/29/2008, -2/+74Or turned into more Palins :O

What wonderful pictures! - AmnesiacJack, on 10/29/2008, -9/+75For the first time in my short life as an adult I'll be going to vote for a true leader and just knowing that we actually have a choice/chance for real change is a powerful emotion.
When I see the pictures that have been taken of Obama, the candid ones and the others as well it moves me close to tears. You can see and feel the humbleness, honesty, and leadership just radiating from him. I haven't been very proud of my country these last 4 years (sorry I was young and stupid and liked Bush his first term, took me a while to wake up) but now, more than ever I actually feel like hope is something worth believing in.
If Obama doesn't win my faith in this country will be lost. I don't think we can survive another 4 years of Bush, and I know that my hope and faith in the country will be lost as well. Hopefully that feeling of hopelessness never has to come back.
Please get out there and vote on the 4th. Don't say you will, don't talk like you will. Just do it. We can't afford to lose even one vote. In this election truly every vote counts. - UniversalGuy, on 10/29/2008, -3/+62Sad how that sounds so normal. It should be a NORMAL THING to be proud of our president.
Oh georgy georgy....what have you done... - aleceiffel87, on 10/29/2008, -8/+65That was the last straw, Obama it is.
- pintomp3, on 10/29/2008, -2/+57mccain is not only opposed to the weather underground, but the weather overground as well.
- devans00, on 10/29/2008, -8/+61I guess at McCain's age, he can't take the rain and cold.
We need someone heartier to be United States President. If McCain really put country first, he'd step aside. - Berkana, on 10/29/2008, -3/+55Dude, turn off your caps lock.
- Kromel, on 10/29/2008, -1/+47Oh God! Imagine what would happen if we feed her after midnight!?!
- Smuikas, on 10/29/2008, -1/+46He already looks like a cold, wet corpse.
- Oztog, on 10/29/2008, -4/+47Mcain was heard to say "Damn rain get off my porch"
- inactive, on 10/29/2008, -2/+44John McCain didn't have an umbrella for 5 and a half years!
- seltaeb4, on 10/29/2008, -5/+47Let's give John McCain some credit. He always puts consideration for others before himself.
He was ready, willing and able to give that speech... but he realized that the rain might have shorted out Cindy McCain's circuitry. - secrity, on 10/29/2008, -2/+44When Kennedy was assassinated, the entire country mourned; if Bush were to be assassinated, few people would care.
I suspect that anybody who is old enough to remember learning of Kennedy's assassination can remember exactly where they were and what they were doing when they learned of it.
This is the difference between a president that people are proud of and a president that few people give a ***** about. - rossnyc, on 10/29/2008, -0/+39It was nap time.
- inactive, on 10/29/2008, -2/+39He's like a big teddy bear that I want to hug.
Mark my words Digg. I will hug Obama one day and I'll refer to this comment. - SreyaNotfilc, on 10/29/2008, -0/+35The funny thing is that we elected him not once, but twice. Or perhaps that's not funny at all.
- Lewie, on 10/29/2008, -1/+36You're right, it's stupid to be interested in politics, and support a candidate that might actually do good for America. Nobody asked you to click on this story anyway. Uncheck the "politics" and "election" options, and be on your merry way.
- FreddieD, on 10/29/2008, -2/+37Some people simply want to be president more than others.
- nowhereelse, on 10/29/2008, -4/+39The Harrison story really underlines why it's a bad idea to elect an old president. He was getting on for 70.No wonder he caught pneumonia.
- peace1970, on 10/29/2008, -8/+42Another great article....nothing can keep Barack down or his supporters from being there...I love it!!
Obama/Biden!! - migel628, on 10/29/2008, -0/+34http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VOLMVQa0KD8
- Lewie, on 10/29/2008, -0/+33Thor was giving him props.
- PrismoFillusion, on 10/29/2008, -4/+37US Mailmen deliver people junk mail in the rain and snow...and McCain can't deliver a speech in the rain.
- secrity, on 10/29/2008, -3/+36Exposure to cold and/or wet weather does not cause pneumonia (or a cold).
In William Henry Harrison's day, pneumonia and many other infections were usually deadly. Now-a-days, pneumonia and most other infections can be fully cured. - felman87, on 10/29/2008, -1/+34and by weather, John means the his supporters
- letdowntourist, on 10/29/2008, -1/+34see you november 4th.
- seantubridy, on 10/29/2008, -2/+34OK, you go under the covers and be scared of Obama and we'll face reality and get things done.
- Feep, on 10/29/2008, -1/+30No. He hasn't. And your blithe overconfidence isn't helping.
Buried for stupidity. - ReidFleming, on 10/29/2008, -1/+30***** the newts! Real Americans only vote for mammals -- or maybe marsupials.
- kattapoga, on 10/29/2008, -7/+35McCains Hershey PA gathering was indoor. There goes your argument.
- ScottyAnimal, on 10/29/2008, -1/+29See the problem is age can prevent you from doing things. Race can't. Save for racism which isnt really race stopping anyone, it's ignorance.
- noahgelman, on 10/29/2008, -5/+33THATS OVER 9000!!!
