- MaryanneAZ, on 09/04/2008, -14/+231We'll skip meat at the grocery store again. Obama just got another donation from this angry community organizer and supporter. Obama will get another donation tomorrow too. This election is just too important to let that crazy team send us to our financial doom. Not. This. Time. Obama/Biden '08
- susilou, on 09/04/2008, -8/+199From Sarah Palin's speech: "Al-Qaida terrorists still plot to inflict catastrophic harm on America ... he's worried that someone won't read them their rights?" The kind of countries where leaders sound like this don't hold elections. It's a slippery slope.
That's what made me make a donation this morning to Obama's campaign. - jsatz23, on 09/04/2008, -9/+183You do know he is winning in every poll right?
- TopJack, on 09/04/2008, -9/+164I got laid off seven months ago. Not exactly dripping in cash.
I made my first donation to a political candidate ever. Only $25 but you do what you can.
The future of the United States is worth even the smallest sacrifice.
Obama/Biden 08 - Scuzbucket, on 09/04/2008, -8/+132Sarah Palin is an extremist. After that speech Democrats see exactly what we're up against - political deceit and hypocrisy.
- sunshine99, on 09/04/2008, -7/+105I donated while Palin was making her (their) speech.
- cmonroe, on 09/05/2008, -8/+91The pit bull analogy made me donate. Who wants a pit bull in office. :-(
- inactive, on 09/05/2008, -9/+92Hey Palin and Giuliani...
Jesus was a community organizer and Pontius Pilate was a governor. - aussiejan, on 09/05/2008, -1/+76There are no small donations. Every donation adds a voice to Obama's campaign. Well done, Jack.
- lopla, on 09/05/2008, -7/+82My parents are life long republicans. I got a call from them after Palin's speech. They informed me that they just donated $1,000 to Obama's campaign. I've never seen them so politically charged. My pop stated "Son, this is lunacy and it's got to stop"
- Nephersir7, on 09/04/2008, -9/+80Donating money like that is kind of a bet because if Obama wins, your money will have been well invested cause, and if McCain doesn't lose, you'll lose much more money...
- zephyear, on 09/05/2008, -3/+61part of that was me
i donated out of pure rage from all the lies in the speech, not to mention the part where she mocked community organizers and the audience laughed - LOVE10, on 09/04/2008, -10/+64That was a cute speech. Palin talks a good game. It's too bad that everyday since she was annouced there has been a new unfavorable revelation regarding her record and her life. I can't wait until the debates. Oh yeah, the baby daddy addition was a nice touch.
OBAMA/BIDDEN 08 - keigwyn, on 09/05/2008, -5/+56It's up to 10 million now!
- inactive, on 09/04/2008, -16/+66I'm pissed off that Biden is such a pussy that he's afraid to body slam this bitch back to Alaska where her frigid ass belongs.
- inactive, on 09/05/2008, -10/+59The democrats made eight-million-cracks at the McCain/Palin candidacy...
- UsedToBeRed, on 09/05/2008, -8/+53That is absolutely correct. The Republican Party has become a bunch of Fascists. I REALLY enjoyed the USA chants and the huge American flag in the background. I hope other people will wake up and realize your freedom will be gone if this isn't stopped.
- BXRWXR, on 09/05/2008, -2/+46I just donated $25. AND I volunteered for the campaign.
Also, I am a former Republican, but I finally woke up, once I got a soul.
They can keep the magnetic sticker, I don't need it. Go Obama! - h0tpot, on 09/05/2008, -9/+52Well who wouldn't donate after a speech like that? I am sure we all enjoy our freedom.
- dinot, on 09/05/2008, -3/+46What is it about the RNC that you like and how will they address the issues affecting our country?
- Sansui, on 09/05/2008, -2/+44Hey Republicans. Your party was hijacked long ago, and I'm sorry to say McCain and Palin do not have it tucked away in a corner somewhere. You might try checking in with the Ron Paul rally, they seemed to have found at least a COUPLE of your party's missing qualities.
The Palin speech was terrifyingly fascist enough to make me donate to Obama's campaign again. - dinot, on 09/05/2008, -3/+45I'm an Obama supporter, but I really don't think you should sacrifice your meals just to support his candidacy. I'm sure he wouldn't want you to do that either. There's plenty of ways you can donate to the campaign that doesn't involve cash.
Good luck and look after yourself! - dinot, on 09/05/2008, -4/+43What is it about McCain's policies that you like and how will they address the issues affecting our country?
//I'm gonna keep asking you this until you respond. - zephyear, on 09/05/2008, -3/+40haha you expect christian conservatives to actually know what the bible actually says
all they do is distort it to justify their horrible views - dinot, on 09/05/2008, -5/+41Uh... he's winning, but he's not winning by enough, so he must be unfit? WTF kind of logic is that? Don't you think that the reason he's not "whipping ass" is because of morons like you who choose to put partisan politics over country? I mean, really, what is it that you like about McCain and how will his policies address the issues affecting this country?
- keigwyn, on 09/05/2008, -4/+40You can donate something even more important. Your time! Volunteer with the campaign to knock on doors to talk to undecided voters, phone bank, and register voters. Your time is just as important as your money. You can find your local campaign office at http://www.barackobama.com/index.php.
- mad05963, on 09/05/2008, -2/+38You already made a donation to the RNC when you last gassed up your car.
- lopla, on 09/05/2008, -5/+39UPDATE: The Republican National Committee says it has raised $1 million since Palin's speech.
BWAAAAAAAAAAA HAAAAAAAAAAAAAA HAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!! - mad05963, on 09/05/2008, -1/+33I know Kansas is the greatest cosmopolitan center of art and culture, as well as a leader in academics, technology, and scientific research, yet somehow I'm not worried about Kansas.
- inactive, on 09/05/2008, -1/+33Sarah Palin was throwing red meat left and right at RNC. Republicans in there almost started singing “Deutschland, Deutschland uber alles” at the end. This race is still too close for comfort.
- jsdratm, on 09/05/2008, -7/+39Yup over $10 mil now! Let's rally for Obama tonight to show the GOP why issues are important!
- still0lil0wagon, on 09/05/2008, -4/+36fifteen bucks from me. first political contri ever
- inactive, on 09/05/2008, -2/+33Looks like Palin is helping Obama out more than McCain.
- HarryRag, on 09/05/2008, -3/+34"UPDATE: The Republican National Committee says it has raised $1 million since Palin's speech."
Sounds like they're really fired up. Lulz. - dxgg, on 09/05/2008, -2/+32I could only donate $15 today. But I had to donate.
- missingdigits, on 09/05/2008, -2/+31I just donated $25. Honestly. i will give more when I can.
- diggproof, on 09/05/2008, -5/+32http://www.opensecrets.org/pres08/index.php
Isn't McCain the one that has about half of Obama's cash on hand? Remember, it's not that Democrats are richer, it's that it's simply that more people support his campaign than McCain Palin. - pintomp3, on 09/05/2008, -6/+32he supports torture.
- SSPink, on 09/05/2008, -5/+30He will, when the time is right. He'll hold his cards close to his chest for now and hit her hard at the debate, ending any talk of a VP competition in one evening.
- ceredron, on 09/05/2008, -0/+25As a real conservative, I miss true conservatism. Not about babies, or christians, but about taxes, and government spending. It's a damn shame. I like my guns and my tax cuts, but not at the cost of lunacy at the helm.
- dinot, on 09/05/2008, -2/+27I like the fact that he's gonna give tax cuts to families earning less than 250,000. I like that he has a plan for withdrawal of troops in Iraq. I like that he understands that military aggression cannot alone defeat terrorism, and that the only effective way to defeat terrorism is to provide basic essentials in those communities that harbor terrorism rather than bomb the ***** out of them: education, healthcare, food, etc. I like how he acknowledges that EDUCATION is one of the most important elements in growing a strong economy, because the next generation will have to live with our mistakes. I like his policy of giving tuition in exchange for national service. I like his policies on clean and renewable energy, where companies developing green technologies are given incentives, while taxes increase for companies sending our jobs overseas.
Oh... and in case you haven't noticed... he wasn't won ANYTHING because the general elections haven't happened yet. And of course you would ignore his victory over one of the most powerful political families in modern history.
.. I can go on and on. Your turn. - karmafarm, on 09/04/2008, -5/+30you go girl!
- dinot, on 09/05/2008, -2/+26hahaha... bleachxfan911. and you guys were the ones complaining that Obama doesn't have "specifics".
- dinot, on 09/05/2008, -1/+23@vexingmodstwo:
No. You're not pissing me off for not answering. Quite the opposite, actually. - lowtolerance, on 09/05/2008, -1/+22I think she'll survive without meat for a week or so.
- peheimbach, on 09/04/2008, -2/+23Really wish there was a way we could help you ... how about this -- you tell me what you were going to donate tonight, and we'll handle it for you.
- Spoomeister, on 09/05/2008, -2/+23And who ever said speeches don't inspire and don't matter?
- dinot, on 09/05/2008, -2/+22How? What are their policies?
- byronm, on 09/05/2008, -4/+24I'm actually happy he's going to come out on his own. Remember folks, this is about Obama and his call to action, call to service and call to change. Its not about Biden, Its not about Palin. Its about the Choice of McCain or the choice of Obama.
Don't get made because Biden won't stoop to low brow politics... -
