The lint-and-hair flaws of Walpin's on-job performance don't really add up to obvious grounds for firing. That this is grist for right-wing jabber is not the issue; the right will assail any action or inaction by the Obama administration. In their lights, Democratic presidents burn far too much oxygen when breathing, and crush too many insects when stepping. However, I'd feel a lot better about TPM's coverage if it assumed a cooler approach, without the feverish tallies of Walpin's "outrages". A week of telecommuting! The very idea!

The only "outrages" seem to have come from you. (Feverish tallies? REALLY? lol)
I saw key nuggets(of information.)
TPM apparently found that he was fired for his (lack of) duty skills, not politization.
End of story.
Moral: Never let a fact get between a juicy piece of political gossip. lol - h8f8kes, on 07/04/2009, -1/+3Bush fired lawyers and there was outrage. This smells worse but there is silence?
- MSSS, on 07/20/2009, -0/+1Nothing like egregious behavior to lead to a firing.
One of the hallmarks of the Bush administration is the hiring of unqualified people whose only qualification is their Republicanism.
Katrina showed how well those Republican operatives could do on the job. Now, at least, they can be fired for their poor performance. At last.
