- mcrunch2, on 07/15/2008, -4/+18You're missing the part where Obama is a socialist cut from the cloth of Mussolini. His policies are the same. I don't know what Mussolini's secret service was called but I'm sure Obama wants the same so he can enforce 'hate/thought crimes" and round up all the guns to implement his state.
- jamegumm, on 07/15/2008, -3/+13Which dictator that had a police state was not an evil maniac? Any tough questions aimed at Obama's campaign have been met with hostility, for they are beyond reproach. One cannot ask Obama or his wife any tough questions. They are simply too high and mighty to be bothered with such irrelevant and divisive questions.
The only way Obama could run this country the way he truly wants to is by having a police state that controls our thoughts, bans free speech, bans guns and opposing viewpoints. Mix in some red dye and presto... you have communism. - Ruler4you, on 07/15/2008, -6/+16How could this be a surprise? Rather than take care of the issues of illegal aliens, let's put a police force on the beat looking at Americans! and we will have NO TOLERANCE.
- AThoughtOrTwo, on 07/15/2008, -4/+13Obama would need that many in a 'security force' to oversee not only 'hate crimes' and 'thought crimes' but 'smoking police' and 'food police' and those who are needed to go door-to-door confiscating guns, plus any other action that HE (who THINKS he is the most exalted ruler ever) deems necessary - THAT FOLKS IS THE CHANGE HE IS SEEKING!
And he is just spelling out what THEY already KNOW: THEY are better than us, THEY know more and it is THEIR job to 'take care of us.' You wonder who all his FORCE will be?
Democrats, but not just the (D) democrats - you will have to work hard and prove yourself - perhaps by "turning in" a former friend, lover or family member who is a republican, conservative or independent. Or has such "nasty, vicious leanings." Because THEIR LAWS will only be FOR US, NOT THEM. - mvnoodle, on 07/15/2008, -0/+9http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/chi-obama-natio ...
found it for you:
Goals set for students
"We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set," he said Wednesday. "We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."
He said he would make federal assistance conditional on school districts establishing service programs and set the goal of 50 hours of service a year for middle school and high school students.
For college students, Obama would set the goal at 100 hours of service a year and create a $4,000 annual tax credit for college students tied to that level of service. - ozymandias2012, on 07/15/2008, -1/+10I don't like this idea at all.
- djmdjm, on 07/16/2008, -1/+8According to the book Liberal Fascism. President Wilson hatched the idea and implemented what Obama is talking about. He had a million men (jack booted thugs) with badges jailing or beating up anyone who spoke against America's involvment in WW1. The book states that the war effort in Wilson's and the other progressives mind was not about defeating Germany but about changing America. Franklin Roosevelt was apparently part of the leadership of the thugs, that today we call brown shirts or whatever. Being a Fascist was very popular amongst the progressives in those days, before the Holocaust.
- ROaks, on 07/16/2008, -1/+7Typical modern day democrats. You gotta love em.
- viejoverde, on 07/16/2008, -3/+9Hey Kayala, as usual you better get your foot out of your mouth. Farah once again is right and you of course are wrong. First learn how to google, look for "obama 7/2 colorado spring speech"
there you'll find what you are looking for and nothing from WND as you suggested. On one of the transcripts there is absolutely nothing about the part Farah is talking about, but luckily there was also a UTube of the actual speech, when you get into 16:45 of the speech, there it was.
"We can not continue to rely on our military......
I do not know how long this will be available there since it is obviously been deleted from all other available sources. And you thought Clinton was the master of cleaning up.
Apology accepted. - truth4freedom, on 07/16/2008, -3/+9Sounds like a Hitler youth sequel to me. Force kids to take part in community service to receive government assistance for education. What will these kids be doing? Ratting their parents and friends out who dare to visit WND or speak against the Obamessiah's rhetoric? I think Obama may have just tried to take the best parts of fascism and Marxism together and make a new and exciting way to kill and subvert millions of gullible people.
- hoeckf, on 07/15/2008, -5/+10The US will have its own SS. Obama is a member of the American Nazi party but he leans more left, Communist.
Nazi is short for NSDAP, National Socialist Democratic Abortion Party. - SQLDigger, on 07/16/2008, -3/+8It sounds to me like Obumbla's just trying to phrase his creeping-socialist agenda in terms of "national security" in order to try to score some political points with the ignorant. I don't really sense that he's really saying we should create a Guardia Civil in the U.S., just that we should waste a lot more taxpayer money subsidizing the sluggardly and inept, in a misguided attempt to improve "national security." He actually would have us believe that shoving our "values" and dollars up poor people's butts worldwide, a nickel at a time, Hugo Chavez-style, will earn us global love and respect, hence national security. It's the socialist's version of pork-barrel politics, and it smells like rotting pig excrement.
- mvnoodle, on 07/16/2008, -2/+7The local cops are just that, local cops. What Obama said was NATIONAL police. Currently, I do not know of a national police force. The FBI is an investigative group, and the CIA is not supposed to operate inside the US. So this is a very different consideration.
I am curious about where the authorization to form such a unit would come from? Expanding the border patrol to include the borders of our citys, countys and homes?
He really needs to explain this to us. The concept of NATIONAL POLICE is really sorta scary in a historical sense. - inactive, on 07/15/2008, -3/+8When enough good ppl are put on the BAD list, and denied some basics..."force" will be necessary.
Joseph, based on all that has been written on WND over the last 6 months...A "free" country, it is now, NOT. Just ask all the victims of OSHA, EPA,.etc. etc. down to the smokers punished by 50$/carton cigs and possible forced UN treaties & luducris carbon credits... etc. You have written much of this. Why is this idea of a Police State/ national military.... surprise you? IN the name of security, safety, and peace(cross yourself and genuflect)....WE, the last remaining "ideologically" Constitutional freemen, must soon, relinquish the last bit of privacy and freedom, .... total personal "transparency" will be demanded/required, we will need be kept in line with/by and for the progressive liberal socialist, secular agenda...it will, in the future, require more than the local police to keep us constrained and contained as we are hounded and rounded up because we have been found to be members of AFA, or WND..etc..or coz we are white middle aged conservative, evangelical Christian successful biz men who love Gods Word and the Constitution uncompromisngly.
Our neighbors will be at risk from US!!!!.
In the near future any number of reasons will put good ppl on the BAD list, potential trouble makers will be denied the basics, when that takes place it will require "force".....the "think tanks"...have been telling it long ago...preparations are now discussed and being made....our guns will not compare to their force, and their little secret high tech devices to conquer us.
this comment will be sufficient to Bad list me, it profiles me.
Take the hint, get a passport ready, target a new place to call home... coz if u make the bad list, travel will be restricted, that means u stuck...if Obama gets in the oval office..."bad to worse" will be the "soup du jour"...Obama is very clever and fully aware of the large number of enemies, he knows it will require force. - inactive, on 07/16/2008, -2/+7" The Nazis called this event "Saalschlacht" (meeting hall battle). After this the organization came to be called the SA. Under their popular leader Ernst Röhm, the SA grew in importance within the Nazi power structure, initially growing in size to thousands of members. In 1922, the Nazi Party created a youth section, the Jugendbund, for young men between the ages of 14 and 18 years. Its successor, the Hitler Youth, remained under SA command until May 1932."
Source, Wiki- Sturmabteilung - djmdjm, on 07/17/2008, -0/+4Okay I had a bunch of stuff wrong, but I read up on it a few hours last night:
It was called the- American Protective League, type that into your browser and prepare to freak out. This is what I believe Mr. Obama is referring to. Democrat (progressive) President Woodrow Wilson, and the Democrat controlled congress used 250,000 civilians who carried badges to enforce their agenda. I read a couple dozen stories about them last night. Definitely something purged from all school history books, wouldn't want the public to know what the Dem's did to Americans back then so that we might gage what they are capable of now. They these civilians arrested and jailed, beat and robbed, all without warrants, without oversight, tens of thousands were imprisoned, and many other things. - truth4freedom, on 07/16/2008, -0/+4McLame is not much better than Obamessiah on this one. Both want to un Constitutionally increase the size and scope of the federal government to unprecedented levels. Time to quit playing the game of the big two and vote in citizen legislators. Throw out 99% of Congress and take our country back!
- darkhorse2k, on 07/15/2008, -4/+8You know BB777, I find your theory plausible.

- inactive, on 07/15/2008, -5/+8Google- Obama's police force, 32,000,000 hits.
- inactive, on 07/16/2008, -2/+5Bama got same idea, idoctrinate them, rewrd em, point em and turn em loose.
- Wolfpack46, on 07/15/2008, -5/+8Ok, Kayala:
I am an old soldier and a scout by trade/first on the ground later in the air/Army/ I can tell you that what BB7 is talking about is quite plausible. You always know when you are fixing to walk into the sh-t/old expression/in other words you always new when things where going from bad to worst. That's what the old sense is warning now, this dude; Boy Barry/is trouble and he might be worse than BB says/
And by the way K, a liberal is an unique type of animal; won't survive of its own, don't have the conviction to defend its own freedom or the guts to hold the line. The liberal survives by ridding the coat tails of those that believe in freedom and understand the price. If we were to round up all liberals and place them in an island with all forms of government or military removed give a couple of years and then go check on them, we will not find an Utopia we will find a cemetery. - inactive, on 07/16/2008, -1/+4k - what do you like about obama? perhaps i have misjudged him.
- inactive, on 07/15/2008, -5/+7My search was 32 but that is not what is in question. Farah said he was sure he heard Obama talk about the police force, but no one was reporting on this issue and that concerns him. I believe you just confirmed the lack of reporting.
- inactive, on 07/15/2008, -5/+7More speculation from reputable sites like the cannabis.com forums (the first hit), a small political blog (the second hit) and *gasp!* WND (the third hit). I believe I asked for a legitimate resource. Again, not a primary document in sight and not a news article by a reputable news organization in sight. What does this tell you about the story? By the way, it's closer to 2.5 million hits than 32 million.
- inactive, on 07/16/2008, -1/+3so you still have faith in the man that ran against hillary as a leftist but has now moved to the center and betrayed several of the positions he began with?
- AThoughtOrTwo, on 07/16/2008, -3/+5Dear Kayala: This forum is to post OPINIONS. It is NOT investigative reporting. Not everyone has FACTS to back up each and every assertion they make. YOU have the choice to believe them or not (for that matter - to read them or not.) But your constant ranting about PROVE THIS, WHERE'S THE FACTS TO BACK THAT UP - get tiresome. Can or have you ever DISPROVED any assertion or comment? Not to my knowledge.
- inactive, on 07/16/2008, -2/+4This plus asking Kayala to make you cookies in another thread leads me to believe that in addition to the paranoia, you have a bit of a weight problem.
- inactive, on 07/16/2008, -4/+6...what? Evidence, maybe? Around here, we require a little more than wild, paranoid speculation in order to take you seriously. What the hell kind of "super race" are you talking about? Where did you get that?
- inactive, on 07/15/2008, -4/+6That's kind of funny. Farah affirms that there has been little to no reporting on Obama's single, out-of-context quote, but he stills finds justification for wildly speculating what that single, out-of-context quote could possibly mean in the most apocalyptic sense? I don't think it takes a genius to figure out that Farah dislikes Obama and is willing to do whatever it takes to smear him, and if that means putting words in his mouth and making ***** up, then so be it.
- ROaks, on 07/16/2008, -4/+6kayala, you are the tinfoil hat wearer. If and I hope that is a big IF he is elected he is looking to nominate a couple of socialistic, activist judges to the Supreme Court. Then the previous court decisions will mean nothing. If Obama is elected the United States Constitution will mean nothing. Our Bill of Rights will mean nothing. Our Declaration of Independence will mean nothing. The Great United States will be done. We will be able to rename it USS of A. I don't feel any better about McCain, I just don't believe he will go as far as Obama. Since I am a Constitutionalist, I will be voting Constitution Party this time out. No more lesser of two evils. So, kayala, I hope and pray you don't get your wish. I know you are wishing for an Obama presidency.
- BearButt777, on 07/15/2008, -7/+9Mr. Farah, what you are missing, and what I keep telling everyone but no one will listen, is Obama will bring Islam to the U.S. in a way that will not be pretty! He is Muslim through and through, but is wearing "Christian" (and I use the word loosely) clothing. If elected, he will bring in Muslims, slowly at first, and put them into political offices high and low. Once the takeover is complete, the nation will be forced to worship Allah. Obama's "police force" will make sure there is NO ONE that will escape the change. If we refuse to abide by his desires, then we will be tortured, imprisoned, or killed. He is working for all that we consider evil and despicable. I know this sounds fantastic, but it is coming. Prepare yourself.
- Phyraxus, on 07/17/2008, -0/+2OMG NO
I'd rather shove a pine cone up his ass than listen to him speak. - inactive, on 07/16/2008, -4/+5I completely agree that "foodies", bad dieters with kids, will definetly be as harassed, and eventually punished penalized and perhaps criminalized, just as smokers....no tolerance from the "super race".
- inactive, on 07/16/2008, -0/+1the Mustaccioli.?
- inactive, on 07/16/2008, -2/+3Point of order: The FBI is certainly not just an investigative group.
Bringing up the border control does make me wonder how you feel about that particular "national force".
And I do agree he needs to explain this statement. Like I said, it's terribly vague and open to interpretation, and when you're discussing policy, you don't want your statements to be open to interpretation. But since we don't know exactly what the context of the speech was, it could've been simply that: a vague statement about making our country safer in the middle of an inspirational, rather than policy, speech. It's too early and we don't have nearly enough information to make a call. At least he's thinking about our country's safety, rather than trying to remember where he stands on abstinence education or proposing that we deliver bottled hot water for dehydrated babies. - inactive, on 07/15/2008, -4/+5That does not justify the wild speculation on that single, out-of-context quote! Do you not understand what I'm saying? Do you agree that Farah is unfairly jumping on a single line from a single speech without a shred of context for the sole purpose of manipulating the reader's opinion?
- inactive, on 07/15/2008, -4/+5Yes, if statement is true the lack of reporting concerns me. Many reports on WND are ahead of the curve.
- inactive, on 07/15/2008, -4/+5I started reading these comments from the bottom up, but they seem to be getting worse reading in that direction. First he's a Muslim, then he's enforcing thoughtcrime laws, now he's confiscating guns door-to-door? You do realize that the Supreme Court just affirmed the individual right to own guns, don't you? Try backing up your assertions once in a while and take off the tinfoil hat.

- inactive, on 07/16/2008, -2/+3ROaks, if you can't do more than bitch, then don't bother saying anything at all. I'm no "useful idiot"; I actually use my head and criticize poor journalism when I see it. If you don't like the facts, then leave.
- inactive, on 07/15/2008, -4/+5What I don't like about it is that there is not a single reputable source talking about this quote, there's not nearly enough context, and there hasn't been an explanation. It's all speculation on a single line from a single speech. Doesn't anyone see anything wrong with this picture?
- inactive, on 07/16/2008, -2/+3Oh my, I seem to have incited some RIGHTEOUS FURY. And RIGHTEOUS FURY must be expressed with CAPS LOCK.
If you don't think that opinions should be based on simple, obvious facts, then I don't think you should be forming opinions, period. The fact that you want to divorce assertions from evidence frightens me. If you're going to make an assertion, you're going to have to back it up. If you don't like it, then I'm afraid your only choice is to piss off and harass people on some other forum. Sorry that you don't like the rules of debate, but they don't change just because you're too inept to do five minutes of research before making a post. - ROaks, on 07/16/2008, -2/+3kayala, you are really reaching aren't you. someone mentioned using teens, I see brown shirts. and at some point black shirts. This guy is not for Freedom Loving Christian America. What you see in this guy I don't know. He should have never gotten past the primaries. All he had was hope and change and how that got him through I don't know.
- ROaks, on 07/16/2008, -4/+5kayala, site your proof of Obama's single, out-of-context quote. also you would not recognize a reputable news source if it jumped up and kicked you.
- inactive, on 07/16/2008, -2/+2What the hell, ROaks? Prove a single, out of context quote? Is that supposed to mean that I am to prove the quote exists, because you don't believe it? You ***** moron, if you're going to make a post, then try to make sense. And by the way, you think that WND is a reputable news source, so you don't really have much of a right to be telling what is and isn't credible journalism. You'll lap up anything your master Joe Farah says because you can't ***** think for yourself. Pathetic.
- inactive, on 07/16/2008, -1/+1Of course you do. Having paranoia is not something to be ashamed of. There are people who can help you.
