- vatosplace, on 07/15/2008, -4/+83Don't impeach him because he's incompetent, impeach because he's a criminal.
- inactive, on 07/15/2008, -7/+58Right.
Blowjobs=impeachable.
Warmongering, spying, and lying to America to START the war= peachy keen with the GOP/Republicans/rightard failures. - Surferess, on 07/15/2008, -3/+42Like the poster says:
"Remember, impeachment isn't just for blow jobs anymore." - wesdenton, on 07/16/2008, -3/+41Actually we should impeach Pelosi. She got elected because she said she would impeach Bush. Immediately after she got the job she did a complete 180. Impeach Pelosi for not impeaching Bush. Heck, let's impeach Pelosi and Reid.
- teknic111, on 07/16/2008, -3/+27Impeached? How about imprisoned!
- Berkana, on 07/16/2008, -3/+26In a just system, Bush would not only be impeached, he'd be tried for war crimes.
- ninjaface, on 07/15/2008, -4/+27If it weren't for money and self-preservation, the idiots who we've all elected would grow some balls and put these two-bit criminals where they belong - not to mention holding the corporations accountable for the various acts of gross misconduct that our "government" is now helping to erase. I just wonder if any of these people have a conscience. Don't they feel bad for destroying America and killing innocent people?
- toddcat, on 07/15/2008, -4/+24It could happen if you representatives had any kind of rocks. Y'all some *****.
- Dquist, on 07/16/2008, -0/+18...and try him for war crimes.
- PHiZ187, on 07/16/2008, -4/+20True, after a witch hunt about his marital infidelities.
- inactive, on 07/16/2008, -3/+14Hang them all!
- fredmv, on 07/16/2008, -2/+11>> Nadler: In a Just System, Bush ‘Would be Impeached'
Completely correct, Ralph. However, the system is the furthest thing away from 'just' and has been like that for years. We have criminals in office that exploit the system for their own benefit. Hopefully Kucinich works some magic and what is true and right prevails. . .just this once. - PopcornDave, on 07/16/2008, -3/+12Is Nadler up for re-election? That's the only time these jellyfish seem to grow a temporary spine.
- norman619, on 07/16/2008, -1/+9Maybe it's because they have some pretty bad dirt on them so they wouldn't dare. Bush is not the only politician on our government guilty of some highly questionable and possibly criminal acts. Most of them aren't fit to hold office yet the average citizen couldn't care less.
- Berkana, on 07/16/2008, -1/+8Sir, you are misinformed. Bush did a lot more than make a few suggestions:
60 minutes interview with Paul O'Neil, Bush's former secretary of the treasury:

- charlietuna, on 07/16/2008, -2/+8Bush is not going to be impeached because Congress /gave/ him the authority to invade Iraq. Yes I was for the invasion, but I'm just Joe citizen: our leaders have the obligation to lead, and not to follow the polls.
http://www.c-span.org/resources/pdf/hjres114.pdf - masterm1nd, on 07/16/2008, -0/+5I was seriously confused by your comment, and then I realized you're the guy who added nothing but name calling. So now he's a idiot and a d-bag, simply for pointing out why this is a non story. Prepare to be dugg.
- WillBraden, on 07/16/2008, -3/+8oh look, an idiot!
- inactive, on 07/16/2008, -3/+8Nadler, lol
- Bith8654, on 07/16/2008, -1/+6I legitimately curious, what made you think that was relevant and worth posting?
- Dquist, on 07/16/2008, -4/+9Your ignorance is only over shadowed by your arrogance. Please, for the sake of others, don't be such a damn fool.
- facttech, on 07/16/2008, -2/+7This is incredibly offensive, coming from him. Jerrold Nadler heads up the House Subcommittee that has been *preventing* impeachment resolutions from going forward.
- e2superman, on 07/16/2008, -1/+5Welcome to reality. Most people who vote for their candidate don't really "know why". Winning the US Presidency is now about marketing and brand recognition (Bush -- not the good type).
- cutchyacokov, on 07/16/2008, -0/+4Can we still ridicule him for his incompetence?
- Pyehole, on 07/16/2008, -2/+6As wonderful as that sounds, it won't happen because the Dems are ***** spineless. The election will be upon us before they can get anything done.
- Anpheus, on 07/16/2008, -2/+6To be fair, the republicans knew then that willing sexual contact between two people would set the bar a little too low and make it too easy for people on both sides of the aisle to get caught and impeached. So they set a precedent by waiting for the subpoena and the testimony and then they got Clinton on perjury which sounds much scarier. I mean, perjury is a serious crime.
Bush and his administration will probably never agree to a subpoena from Congress even if the Sergeant at Arms were to forcible present him with the subpoena. They'll deny it or never let the Sergeant get within a hundred feet. They'll completely ignore it if he does. As long as a weak-willed Congress never pushes the issue, no formal testimony will ever be given in order to begin proceedings on impeachment.
This way everyone involved can look like they're doing what they should. Bush looks like he's not really being impeached, the Democrats look like they're trying, the Republicans distance themselves, etc. Everyone wins and gets re-elected in Congress. - vkiperman, on 07/16/2008, -1/+4I agree.
- ohplease, on 07/16/2008, -4/+7
Your granny lust is something you should keep to yourself. - Tyrghast, on 07/16/2008, -1/+4Nadler != Nader. just to clear that up for ya.
- WillBraden, on 07/16/2008, -2/+5here's a big pocketful of attention for you. attention attention attention!!! is that enough? or do you need to write more contrary, idiotic things just to provoke people. is your attention jar all full up now?
- norman619, on 07/16/2008, -0/+3Did she actually say she would impeach? These aren't stupid people. You gotta listen very closely to what they say then translate it into normal speak.
- pinchduck, on 07/16/2008, -3/+6You have the majority party and articles have already been introduced. Put deeds to words and impeach him or STFU. Kucinich stands by his convictions and takes actions.
- dagnew, on 07/16/2008, -4/+7dubya's invasion of Iraq was a war of aggression - at the Nuremburg trials this crime was referred to as the "supreme crime against humanity", and several Nazis were hung for it. By being so dismissive of those who wish to see the rule of law and accountability, you ally yourself with some evil bastards.
- charlietuna, on 07/16/2008, -0/+3Yeah I was going to say slap him upside the head while saying "you dumbass"
- tRANIS, on 07/16/2008, -0/+3We jump on war crimes for everyone else but when we do it.....
Trial NOW! - elnerdo, on 07/16/2008, -0/+2While I would love to do that, a feasible solution to most of the problems that digg is carrying-on about is to push for term limits for congress and senate. The problem in congress comes from the fact that it's incredibly easy to be re-elected, and people love to just keep re-electing their representatives.
- PhilLesh69, on 07/16/2008, -0/+2Money talks. Principle and intellectual honesty is liability to these folks.
If you really knew what was going on, you'd understand why they are not going to hold corporations accountable, or rat each other out, when they are all part of the same system.
Democrats and Republicans are just two sides of the same coin.
"We the people" was a nice idea. It worked for a while, until this country became so imbalanced, and undue power and wealth exerted itself against our constitutional system. - PhilLesh69, on 07/16/2008, -0/+2They're ALL complicit with the corporatocracy.
- PhilLesh69, on 07/16/2008, -0/+2In news reports today, the Sergeant at Arms went crazy, and attempted to gain unauthorized access to the White House grounds. Secret Service agents could not subdue him, so they were forced to shoot him seventeen times while trying to get through the gate. He was pronounced dead on the way to the hospital.
Upon searching his car, they found 37 handguns, 12 automatic rifles, a pipe bomb, some anthrax, and a koran. - parax, on 07/16/2008, -3/+5Jerrold Nadler, not Ralph Nader.
I was going to write something a little deeper to refute you, but it's all just a waste. You're too ignorant to help. There isn't much to say to you. Read some books, take an introductory philosophy course or a course on formal debate, business, law, politics, art history... something to expand your mind. At this stage, your mind is just broken and I can't even comment on the things you said because I'd need to refute every single word you wrote. You didn't say anything that's rooted in reality, just spouting fear, doubt, uncertainty based on something which amounts to a core belief in astrology (deriving the character of a person from their name). More than anything, I feel sorrow for you because I know you don't even think there's anything wrong with your mind. - PhilLesh69, on 07/16/2008, -1/+3But now that Clinton was impeached for "a blowjob" or "lying", people have been desensitized and led to believe that impeachment is a politically motivated act, rather than a constitutionally mandated process of punishing a president for abusing power.
So, basically, it will never be taken seriously, at least not for many generations.
Almost makes you wonder if they weren't possibly planning ahead, or something. - dagnew, on 07/16/2008, -1/+3There are 435 members of Congress, ALL of whom have "sworn an oath" to defend the Constitution. I think about 30 of them have sponsored Kucinich's earliest impeachment article (against Cheney), fewer have sponsored the 35 articles against dubya. So the Dems ain't really the 'good' guys, the vast majority are complicit with the traitors in the administration.
- toxicityj, on 07/16/2008, -3/+5I agree that it's *****, but Clinton didn't get impeached for a blowjob. He got impeached for lying. Not that it really matters, because the current administration is built on lies.
- denizen42, on 07/16/2008, -1/+3Are they allowed to lie and fabricate to the entire human race?
- denizen42, on 07/16/2008, -1/+3....with consequences being just around ten billion trillion times more damaging to society.
- charlietuna, on 07/16/2008, -2/+4Congress exercising its powers to proceed with impeachment of a president who is out of line IS part of our system of government. Note that the title of the head of the executive branch is "President" and not "King".
It is YOU sir who does not like our system of government. Perhaps a fascist state would be more to your liking? - masterm1nd, on 07/16/2008, -2/+4Oh look, a reasonable and insightful comment get's buried and the guy who does nothing but calls him an idiot is dugg!. How typical!
- stinkymonkey, on 07/16/2008, -2/+4DeathtoPC,
Breath.....just breath....In...and...out...That's good......Happy Place.....think of your happy place....feel better? -
