- tajitj, on 07/25/2008, -6/+14There is a candidate running for President who is fighting against this. Bob Barr.

He is more Ron-Paulesque - inactive, on 07/29/2008, -1/+6NPR ... feh. Corporate message for smug limousine liberals. If you want the real news, tune in to DemocracyNow! It's at 89.3 FM 8AM here in DC, or get the daily newscast at their site

Beats the ***** out of hearing commercials for Lockheed-Martin and infomercials from all the big pharm companies like you get on NPR. - inactive, on 07/25/2008, -0/+4Maybe if he [Barr] had voted NO on the Patriot Act, he wouldn't have to be fighting this. Barr changes his story NOW that he's running for POTUS. Too bad he wasn't willing to "fight for our rights" back when he could have shown his true colors... or did he show them then?
- JKap, on 07/28/2008, -0/+3Dr. Paul did not say "not to" --in fact he said that his supporters "could do it."
- ztay, on 07/30/2008, -0/+3You can see how your rep voted, and send them a letter on this site...

It's still pro-establishment and corporate, just with a left slant, and they convince people to pay for something that already has commercials, sucking a large chunk of its funding from listeners.
I've heard someone refer to it as National Petroleum Radio, but it's more than that. - 69fezz96, on 08/06/2008, -0/+2And it's all brought to you by "The Ford Foundation", "The Rockefeller Foundation" , and all those who want to fleece then destroy OUR country.
- FunkyDung, on 07/28/2008, -0/+1Yes, he voted for the Patriot Act, but he also worked hard to make sure it had sunset provisions.
- juserphx, on 08/18/2008, -0/+1Obama? Isn't he the one calling for the "Civilian National Security Force" that's going to be bigger than the Army with more money and guns to be used against all Americans? I prefer someone who cares about liberty more than that, like Chuck Baldwin or even B. Barr.
- JKap, on 07/28/2008, -0/+1Double post thanks to junky Digg application.
- craignazor, on 08/08/2008, -0/+0Hold all criminals accountable, "deciders" as well as "followers". And if you don't want to see more criminal behavior in the whitehouse for the next four years (a welcome change), the only logical choice is Barack Obama.
- jaslo, on 08/05/2008, -0/+0Instant runoff voting or some ranked voting system would give ALL candidates a chance to win.
My ranking: 1 - Obama, 2 - Barr, 3 - McKinney
Although not my first choice, I would not be upset at all to see Bob Barr as president instead of McCain. - FunkyDung, on 07/28/2008, -1/+1Even though Dr. Paul said not to?
- JKap, on 07/28/2008, -4/+3Arrest O-bomb-a!
