If you watch and listen to all of that footage and discount or set aside the propaganda injected into it, the whole situation makes sense. When she asked the question, he was answering to the effect of him not knowing in any great advance of the towers collapse. When he was talking, nearly in shock shortly after the events to Peter Jennings, he said "we were told and then the tower collapsed before we could get out of the building"
That in of it self doesn't conclusively give a time line one way or the other, but to most that would imply that the length of time between when he was told, and when they did collapse wasn't very long at all. Even if there was a 10 or 15 min buffer at most there, that isn't enough time to stage a safe and organized evacuation.
And if you listen to that video there, that woman is terribly nervous about her whole conversation, and never once does she say out right "At one point you said you knew the towers were going to collapse, and then you said you didn't know, how can you explain that descrepency. If you did know, why didn't you stage an evacuation effort?" Had the question merely asked that way, there might have been more of a response than "I didn't know they were going to collapse." By the mishmash of her nervous rambling her point seemed to be why didn't you stage an evacuation. His response was simple, I didn't know the towers were going to collapse.
But you know what, you people are going to believe what ever want. A *****-a-mainey story thrown together by conspiracy theorists is far more entertaining than the truth more often than not. I KNOW I'll be dugg down for this opinion, but that video "felt" like propaganda. Like it was "fair and balanced", so to say. First, it played the clip. Then it repeated the contradictory statement, then it repeated "LIES", then began playing the key statement after not just an introduction but a commentary. If that isn't conditioning the audience to agree, what is it?
Whether this was done by an activist or a moderate, it smacked of the contemporary mainstream media "emotional impact" attitude but had all the legitimacy of an amateur video editor.

Rudy clearly is reminded -- after he told the young woman he didn't know the towers were going to "collapse" -- that he told Peter Jennings on 9/11 that he was warned that the WTC would "collapse" before it did, but he still chose to deny it and told them that he never had knowledge that the buildings would come down or "implode" as he put it. So, someone thinks "hey, maybe we shouldn't have the mayor next to a skyscraper that's on fire and has unknown structural damage" and this means that 9/11 is an inside job?
And just about every "conspirist" says that the towers were brought down because with "the WTC was designed to take a hit from a airliner". Yes, it was indeed -- but not for 90K liters of av gas burning away for an hour or so. Structural steel does not need to melt to lose strength (only needs to get to about 1/3 of that). Any design deficiencies start to become very apparent at that point. Of course, don't trust me -- I am just a aerospace engineer with a structures specialty -- check with the guys from MIT.
And all this stuff about a priori knowledge of WTC 7 -- just look at the reporting during any event (the VT massacre, the first WTC bombing, invasion of Iraq 1 and 2). Errors happen - it is inevitable.
Finally, why bother with Afghanistan? If this is such a powerful, all-knowing conspiracy that wanted to get it's hands on Iraq -- why not just get tie Saddam directly to the attacks? Don't you think, with as hard as this administration has tried to justify Iraq, they would have just done it already with the 9/11 attacks? Oh, because it wasn't.

First of all, we don't think the BBC, CNN, Kerry and thousands of other people were 'involved in one big conspiracy' FFS. What IS very likely is there was a conspiracy involving a very small number of people, who gave orders to people 'lower down' on a need-to-know basis. So many people may have been INDIRECTLY involved in a conspiracy (people at NORAD for example) but were just following their orders and would have had no idea what they were actually involved with.
Ever heard of compartmentalization? It would be the same concept.
And the tired old 'how did they get bombs in the building' question. It has been documented that there were unprecedented evacuations and power-downs of all WTC buildings, in the weeks preceding the attacks, roughly about the same time 'Lucky Larry' Silverstein decided to take out an unprecedented multi-million dollar insurance against terrorist attacks. All one big 'coincidence'?
I'll tell you what IS preposterous. That a group of amateur arab pilots led by an old man with a laptop successfully infiltrated the most sophisticated air defense system on the planet, and they did all this just because 'they hate our freedom'.
Let me ask you a question. The Pentagon is one of, if not THE most heavily defended and watched structures on the planet. Yet you believe they were 'caught by surprise' by a bunch of poorly-trained arabs, after they were already aware of a similar attack in NYC?! The world's most expensive, sophisticated military defense building, possibly in history, 'caught napping'?!? Excuse me - THAT is deluded.
Which brings me onto my next point. You ask us where is OUR proof, time and time again. But I would like to ask you, exactly where is the proof that the 'official story' is correct?! You must think 'Bin Laden did it', right? Well if so, why is it that on his 'Most Wanted' page on the official FBI site, 9/11 isn't even mentioned?! And when Rex Tomb of the FBI was questioned about this he said it was because 'there is no hard evidence linking him to the attacks'?!

Where is the video tape from the Pentagon strike? We are forever being called crazy nutjobs for questioning whether it was in fact a plane or not.. but if we are so crazy and there is nothing incriminating here, why the hell did they confiscate the tapes?! If they would just SHOW US THE ***** TAPE (and not that piss-poor grainy thing from the petrol garage where you can barely make out WTF is going on) we will gladly go away!! But until someone can PROVE what happened conclusively there, there is every reason to be suspicious.
If you want us to shut up and go away then present US with some clear-cut evidence! I have not seen any convincing evidence, for example, that Building 7 collapsed the way it did (symmetrically, in 7 seconds) because of 'structural damage caused by falling debris'. Or that 'Bin Laden did it'. Or, in fact, a multitude of things that according to the official version are true.
Some questions for you (and if there is no 'conspiracy' these should be easy to answer, right?!):
Why is Building 7 completely omitted from the 9/11 commission report?
Why did Bush claim he wanted Bin Laden 'dead or alive' then 6 months later declare he 'wasn't that concerned' about him?
Why did Bush only allocate $5 million (and a ridiculously inadequate amount of time) to the 9/11 commission, yet at least $50 million was spent on investigating Clinton's blowjob?
Who has benefitted the most from 9/11? (Here's a clue - it's not arabs)
Who has used 9/11 as an excuse to change almost every single aspect of everyday life to fit a particular agenda?

But if you listen to what he said on 9/11 he does state that they told him that the building was going to collapse, right before it did. He did not even have time to get his own ass out of the building before it went down. I am sure that once he was safely out he would have told them to get the people out of there, or someone else would have.
Should he have waited inside the collapsing tower to make sure that the evacuation order was confirmed before he saw to the safety of his own ass? Maybe. But I bet 90% of you would have hauled your own ass out of there at top speed, and hope that someone else had the brains to maybe get the people out of there.
I hate the government as much or more than you 'truthers'.
But investigate something that makes some actual sense.
