I forbade her, but she did not stop, and I rebuked her, but she did not abandon her habit. I have two sons like pearls from her, and she was my companion. Last night she began to abuse and disparage you. So I took a dagger, put it on her belly and pressed it till I killed her.
Thereupon the Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: Oh be witness, no retaliation is payable for her blood.

I'll take that challenge. Just for starters (and there's wayyy too many to list here), here's a link to the searchable Koran for the word "unbeliever." There's 120 matches for that search and I challenge you to read each one, and tell me that the ubiquity and virulence of these quotes has anything comparable in the Bible. This doesn't even address the fact that the most intemperate quotes in the Bible are ignored or seen as parables from a less sophisticated time while the Koran is seen as being the perfect received word of Allah that cannot ever be wrong about anything.
Here's the first ten quotes (of 120) about "unbelievers" in the Koran:
1. [2.19] Or like abundant rain from the cloud in which is utter darkness and thunder and lightning; they put their fingers into their ears because of the thunder peal, for fear of death, and Allah encompasses the unbelievers.
2. [2.24] But if you do (it) not and never shall you do (it), then be on your guard against the fire of which men and stones are the fuel; it is prepared for the unbelievers.
3. [2.34] And when We said to the angels: Make obeisance to Adam they did obeisance, but Iblis (did it not). He refused and he was proud, and he was one of the unbelievers.

I couldn't agree more that people should read the Koran to see the real Islam, but I don't think, like you do, that they'll come to the conclusion that Islam is peaceful. The only possible reaction to a complete reading to the Koran could be that it is an inherently violent religion that despises those who don't subscribe to their faith.
