- ZeeZee2k, on 03/01/2009, -0/+40$250,000 or 90,527,895,150,167,128,795,619,579,656,758,432,543 Zimbabwean dollars.
- elliotys, on 03/01/2009, -0/+19This just adds insult to injury. Before he took over Zimbabwe was actually doing pretty good. Then he kicked out all the white farmers and ***** hit the fan. I can understand their animosity towards them, but they were a crucial part of the economy.
- novenator, on 02/28/2009, -1/+18This racist needs to step aside for the good of his people. His time past over a decade ago.
- Tubal22, on 03/01/2009, -3/+19Maybe AIG should hire Mugabe. He'd fit right in.
- gfryesc, on 03/01/2009, -2/+14no different than the lavish parties the US congress is throwing themselves, for deficit spending away wealth that hasn't even been created to tax yet.
- EnergyEinstein, on 03/01/2009, -3/+14I'm curious though, how much money was spent on Obama's inauguration and how much debt is the US in, and how much further are they going in? Just saying.. but I'm not saying Mugabe is a good guy or anything, it's just that heads of state, whether in a country that other countries are willing to loan billions or trillions of dollars to or not will end up spending large amounts of money.
- AnimaStomp, on 03/01/2009, -0/+9What an *****...
- Qumahlin, on 03/01/2009, -0/+9Well Mugabe was under the misguided impression that everyone would suddenly know how to run farms after kicking the whites out...he's not very bright.
- iceman0113, on 02/28/2009, -4/+12They're not partying
- Mullinator, on 03/01/2009, -0/+6Maybe a chandelier will drop on his head.
- vkuber, on 03/01/2009, -0/+6Zimbabwe is one the many enlightening places in the world, having my parents originally from there, it's sad to witness what has happen. Changes need to be made as quickly as possible, just as change was needed for us in the states. People need to step up, and do something to change it. It won't change by itself.
- Rudegar, on 03/01/2009, -0/+6well he's a crackpot running his country into the ground whats to be expected ?
- gleongelpi, on 03/01/2009, -0/+6That number was right an hour and a half ago. It is about ten percent bigger right now.
- Qumahlin, on 03/01/2009, -0/+5"People need to step up, and do something to change it. It won't change by itself. "
Yes, and by people you mean the people of Zimbabwe. Mugabe isn't out murdering everyone by himself, he has an army of people doing his bidding. Those people are the ones that need to turn on him - friday1970, on 03/01/2009, -2/+6So, an economy of his nation is in serious crisis, but he wines and dines himself with expensive white wine and wagyu beef? Wait, that wasn't Mugabe, that was plain old Obama.
- getatmedigg, on 03/01/2009, -0/+3He so crazy!!
- slvrbullet87, on 03/01/2009, -4/+7Did you not see his 300 ingagurations?
- WasabiHound, on 03/01/2009, -0/+3'Honour the sacrifices [he] has made for this country"?!
Please! What sacrifices has he made compared to the sacrifice he is making of Zimbabwe: destroying his economy by confiscation and handing it over to incompetent cronies, denying the existence of cholera and forcing 'his' people to suffer and die from a disease which could be fixed through basic sanitation and access to clean water.
Zimbabwe is a basket case country made so and run by a power hungry, small minded fool. - astutissimo, on 03/01/2009, -0/+3Dude. Mugabe gets nice party if Mugabe wants a nice party. A recent poll suggests that his approval rating is 100%.
- pdethier, on 03/01/2009, -2/+5So you're saying that the continuity of big spending and interventionism (economically and in terms of foreign policy) from Republicans to Democrats is considered "change"?
- Oztog, on 03/01/2009, -2/+4Mugabe was quoted as saying "Let them eat cake"
- funkedup, on 03/01/2009, -7/+9Africa's a lost cause.
- boomfrag, on 03/01/2009, -1/+3It's good to be the king
- gleongelpi, on 03/01/2009, -0/+2You would have been one of the animals they killed to feed the pigs.
- sirdarksoul, on 03/01/2009, -0/+2Sounds like he's learned a lot from American corporations
- JackpotCity, on 03/02/2009, -0/+2There's no explanations left. Mugabe has lost the plot and is determined to cling to what he has left, even if it means running his once great country and it's people into the ground.
- cfuse, on 03/01/2009, -0/+2He'd just be replaced with one who is the same or worse.
- TheCollective00, on 03/01/2009, -0/+2His party must have cost 100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 (Zimbabwe) dollars
- inactive, on 03/01/2009, -1/+3They do that once they get there!
- winmac96, on 03/01/2009, -0/+2Old man Mugabe was just testing the new ZB$1 Gazillion notes to see how much of a birthday party it can afford.
- asgardshill, on 03/01/2009, -0/+2Can we all at least agree that Robert Mugabe is an abject failure as a Maximum Leader For Life?
- visionaryIX, on 03/01/2009, -0/+2Surprisingly, he's quite well educated:
"Originally graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Fort Hare in 1951, Mugabe subsequently earned six further degrees through distance learning including a Bachelor of Administration and Bachelor of Education from the University of South Africa and a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Laws, Master of Science, and Master of Laws, all from the University of London External Programme.[32] The two Law degrees were earned while he was in prison, the Master of Science degree earned during his premiership of Zimbabwe.[33] After graduating, Mugabe lectured at Chalimbana Teacher Training College,"

He's just ***** deluded and crazy. - inactive, on 03/02/2009, -0/+2Is Mugabe responsible for what's going on? Oh, yes. He's the one who killed people opposed to his rule. He's the one who forcibly evicted successful farmers. He's the one who did nothing to stop the cholera rampage. He's the one who packed the supreme court. He's the one who shut down newspapers opposed to him. The list goes on and you can't see it, which doesn't surprise me.
- inactive, on 03/01/2009, -0/+1soon 1 U.S. dollar will equal 1 Zimbabwean dollars the way the last few president spent money
- lhbaker, on 03/01/2009, -0/+1You want him to fly coach? And what does flying around in a 747 have to do with the health crisis?
- ploke, on 03/01/2009, -0/+1Wronging Rights, as always, has brilliant coverage: http://wrongingrights.blogspot.com/2009/02/some-th ...
- DarkRellik, on 03/01/2009, -0/+1It's different, allright. We're not starving in the streets and not dying of whatever epidemic we cant afford basic medicine for.
- mark239, on 03/01/2009, -0/+1WTF does an oath taken by medical practitioners have to do with the US ??
- abrasion, on 03/01/2009, -0/+1I just checked on XE.COM - I think the number might even be higher.

Since he's the richest person, all the money is best spent on him. - jivatmanx, on 03/01/2009, -2/+2Get where? There are no parties in Iran or China.
