- BlueDjinn, on 08/03/2008, -10/+110Good for her, but that's about the shortest essay/column I've ever read--it's barely long enough to qualify as a Digg comment!
Seriously--she could have gone into a wee bit more detail about whether she's still supporting McCain or not, couldn't she? - JD52, on 08/03/2008, -6/+95It's pretty bad when the nut jobs call you a nut job.
- inactive, on 08/03/2008, -12/+98This is Paris Hilton's mom we're talking about. It probably took her two weeks and a team of editors to compose that paragraph.
- cubicledrone, on 08/03/2008, -3/+75Hi.
Can we talk about fixing the country now?
Thanks. - christianreid, on 08/03/2008, -9/+61My feelings exactly, I've wondered how people have felt that have given money to McCain's campaign and this is how he spends it. I left the Republican party after the last four Bush years...and now seeing the continuous fear mongering approach of the next cycle of Rebuplicans, I will never go back. The Republicans starting with their leader McCain have lost all integrity.
- sfacets, on 08/03/2008, -6/+51...much like her daughter.
- inactive, on 08/03/2008, -5/+44Kathy Hilton is still eminently doable. Paris looks like a coked out tarsier monkey though.
- KingHarvest00, on 08/03/2008, -3/+35Not smart of McCain to insult this particular demographic. The Idiot Vote is about his only chance of getting into office.
- orangefly, on 08/03/2008, -6/+36McCain is degrading to McCain's character and to the political process.
- Me1000, on 08/03/2008, -3/+33I fail to see how the ad provides any evidence of this! It just says "Obama is a celebrity, but is he ready to lead the country?"
Seems pretty worthless to me... - cg4et, on 08/03/2008, -4/+33It did waste a lot of money. Ironically, much of that money came directly out of the pockets of members of the Hilton family and their friends.
- JonRick, on 08/03/2008, -10/+38What planet are you from? If Obama is equal to a useless tramp, then what does that make McCain equal to; the stain on the floor?
- Dumbledorito, on 08/03/2008, -4/+28Squawk! Polly wanna talking point! Polly wanna talking point! Squawk!
Come back when you have an original thought, QuadZero. - LordHennessy, on 08/03/2008, -3/+23ROFL. A Hilton... calling something "Frivolous" or "A Waste Of Money". Too ***** funny. What does she call her $5,000 handbag?
- allothersnsused, on 08/03/2008, -13/+33Who cares what she thinks about politics? Anyone? ......Anyone? .....Anyone? .......Bueller?
- Sil369, on 08/03/2008, -6/+23Weird, no I HATE PARIS / SKANK comments there
- perogi21, on 08/03/2008, -0/+16Wow, you say SKANK like it's a bad thing.
- radiopaste, on 08/03/2008, -0/+15you know you ***** up when the woman who raised paris and nikki hilton gets to take the moral high ground.
- aftern9ne, on 08/03/2008, -1/+16Is being a POW enough?
Obviously both questions are ridiculous, so let's try to steer clear of them. - wrzhydr, on 08/03/2008, -3/+15Obama's lead in the polls jump every day. He'll be up by 5% points Tuesday and back down to 3% on Wednesday. American's are fickle. Talk about flip flopping on the issues.
- Cam_86, on 08/03/2008, -5/+17Trophy wives dont exactly have the best writing skills. Plus, shes a woman who supports McCain. Even pro-life women should have a hard time getting behind him.
- Skooma714, on 08/03/2008, -2/+13Polls are *****.
- inactive, on 08/03/2008, -2/+13If this is politics I'm going to ***** stick a Paris Hilton poster on my wall right now.
- rob2oo4, on 08/03/2008, -4/+14McOwned
- inactive, on 08/03/2008, -3/+12The demographic that actually cares about Britney and Paris NEVER vote.
- spinchange, on 08/04/2008, -0/+9"I didn't have time to write you a short letter, so I wrote a long one instead"
-Mark Twain - inactive, on 08/03/2008, -9/+18An interview with Kathy Hilton is...
Frivolous, A Waste Of Money, A Waste Of Time. - bjornski, on 08/04/2008, -1/+10Now you're just trying to make excuses for the one you have up.
- mohsenxp, on 08/03/2008, -1/+9You know I watched that video. All the quotes are from his younger point of view.
The bigger picture (which of course your one-sided video fails to show) is that his book talks about him overcoming these feelings and thoughts. - SickOfSpin, on 08/04/2008, -0/+8Therefore, since brevity is the soul of wit,
And tediousness the limbs and outward flourishes,
I will be brief.
~William Shakespeare, Hamlet
The most valuable of all talents is that of never using two words when one will do. ~Thomas Jefferson - josecastillo, on 08/03/2008, -1/+9I thought it was succinct.
- malex, on 08/03/2008, -0/+8Huh, that's funny... Isn't Mrs Hilton a Republican?
Who supports McCain?
With the most money she can legally donate?
Isn't she, Nastronomical? - marabout40, on 08/03/2008, -2/+10It be hard work for you to sustain such willful ignorance.
- norm7, on 08/03/2008, -2/+10Try explaining it away? No need.
1) Some of the collected quotes are from his childhood, or relate to things that other people have said.
2) Just because he has said things that address race doesn't mean that he is racist. Acting as though any man (a black man especially, in case you've never heard of slavery or segregation) growing up in the United States should not think about racial difference is absurd.
By the way, great job on spamming the board after your last post got buried, and then accusing other people of being bot-like partisans. - colincornaby, on 08/03/2008, -0/+7Well, the Hiltons donated to the McCain camp. So if you think the Hiltons don't know anything about politics... then it explains why they picked the worst candidate.
- ayiticherie, on 08/03/2008, -3/+10Give the woman a break. I'm pretty sure she had to pull away from her shopping sprees and scheduled mani/pedis to write down this essay.
- LeeSoong, on 08/03/2008, -0/+7Big words coming from someone who donated big money to him...
- cheezintern, on 08/03/2008, -2/+9nobody cares what she thinks about politics. She was responding to old man mccain's use of her daughter in a negative advertisement. That's why it was only a whopping 4 sentences.
- JAB6, on 08/03/2008, -2/+9Thank you Mrs. Hilton! McCain is selling his soul to become president.
- StarlessKnight, on 08/03/2008, -1/+8I'm going to fix it!
- John McCain
/Notice the lack of "how?"
//And if you come back with McCain saying "how" then there are just as many and reputable sources where Obama explains his "how" too; and if you post those sources in defense of McCain you will be admitting your obvious and willful bias. - tatical, on 08/03/2008, -0/+7The Hiltons donated $4,600, the maximum you can contribute.
- norm7, on 08/03/2008, -1/+8It was simple and concise, not "too short," if it was any longer you'd all be thinking tl;dr
- absurdist, on 08/03/2008, -2/+8nastronomical = verbal diarrhea.
- camipco, on 08/03/2008, -0/+6John McCain's mom also called the ad "kinda stupid." Smack down from the mothers there, grumpy-John
- allothersnsused, on 08/03/2008, -1/+7If you want people to listen to you and not bury your comment, you might want to phrase it in a little more polite way. The way your comments are written lend themselves to burying
- wheelinb, on 08/03/2008, -3/+9The Hilton's even donated to the McCain campaign. I would ask for my money back. Even if my daughter was a celebuwhore.
- inactive, on 08/03/2008, -4/+10I miss how he was 2000...
- coreyb, on 08/03/2008, -1/+7No picture of the ad?!
- fourty_two, on 08/03/2008, -4/+10huffingtonpost.com spam. buried.
- aceisstupid, on 08/03/2008, -3/+8The "article" is an astounding 5 sentences long, yet Kathy Hilton's bio on the Huffington Post is a full five paragraphs, and this is the only submission she's had.
