- mykinco, on 09/14/2008, -5/+100For once I agree with Romney
- inactive, on 09/14/2008, -8/+87Pot calling the kettle black, but still true.
- chosenson, on 09/14/2008, -8/+76He might say something else on the stump tomorrow, but today he challenged McCain's lies!
Romney is right - this is beyond the pale of rough-and-tumble campaigning. McCain is making Bush/Cheney look like the choirboy and the cherub. No-one can remember in the history of US Presidential elections why one candidate has ever insinuated that his opponent was a pedophile. McCain is indeed REPREHENSIBLE! - Jauladeoro, on 09/14/2008, -6/+66Wow Romney - hats off to you, sir. That was incredibly refreshing.
- Carv, on 09/14/2008, -3/+47This is from the primaries. McCain accused Romney of wanting to set a withdrawal date for Iraq "similar to the Democrats".
It applies here too, but Mitt Romney doesn't care. - inactive, on 09/14/2008, -1/+38Does anyone know when and where he said this? I can't find anything else about it.
- four5, on 09/15/2008, -1/+31I feel like most people are digging this story under the belief that Romney is responding to the McCain Ads that have been running. I believe this is a response given during the Republican primaries. I'm not trying to defend anyone I just think the headline is a little misleading.
- ufcavemanlawyer, on 09/14/2008, -2/+28It comes down to this: McCain's people are blowing it. They're campaigning on "honor," but they're doing a dishonorable thing by telling repeated lies. The voters are going to catch on to this even if the media isn't.
- dinot, on 09/14/2008, -2/+28Holy crap. Those were some fighting words from Romney. Anyone one know when this clip was taken? I kinda have a suspicion that it's from the primaries, but I hope it's recent.
- Synova, on 09/15/2008, -2/+19Are we sure that this is a RECENT video? I know Romney and McCain went at it big time in the primary, but it seems like he's jumped on the McSame bandwagon since then.
- Corneileus, on 09/15/2008, -1/+16Sounds like he's still campaigning.... I think this video is old.
Gentlemen, have we been trolled? - oxphantomxo, on 09/14/2008, -1/+15In this election people have to vote for the issues and not gender or race.
- DownIsTheNewUp, on 09/15/2008, -1/+14Romney is just another America-hating libtard spammer from the Huffington Post.
Oh wait... - cg4et, on 09/15/2008, -6/+18Mitt Romney is right. Now excuse me while I go outside and take some pictures of the flying pigs.
- patpl22391, on 09/15/2008, -1/+13This was during the primary when they running AGAINST each other. Do you think all of Obama's adversaries (and Joe Biden, his VP pick) had nothing but praise for him? Joe Biden said that Barack Obama lacks the experience, so did Hillary. Of course Biden has gone back on that, and Mitt Romney has gone back on his statements. What's the difference? None.
- thomasmck, on 09/14/2008, -3/+14Awesome! Romney knows he'll be next when they decide to eject the wacko.
- zennie62, on 09/14/2008, -15/+25Romney - Take that for not picking me!!!!
- metag, on 09/14/2008, -5/+15WHOA. A Republican grows a conscience. Remarkable. Even his own party is disgusted with him.
- Jordan117, on 09/15/2008, -1/+11And incredibly out of context. The video is months old, from back when Romney was still competing with McCain for the GOP nomination.
- Corneileus, on 09/15/2008, -1/+1099% sure this was from 'Romney while he was campaigning for the nomination. There's no context to explain what he's talking about, so I think we've been deceived.
- JDoorjam, on 09/15/2008, -0/+9Yeah, as much as I really want to be intrigued by this and hope it gets some press, what is the context here?
- jasoninoakland, on 09/15/2008, -2/+10It's an old video (he's only disgusted because the lies are against *him*; he'd be more than happy to fabricate lies against Obama if he got that far). Lies against your opponent never hurt in a Republican race, as McCain has learned all too well.
We'll see soon enough if they will for the national race. - chrissku, on 09/15/2008, -2/+10John McCain would rather lose his honor than lose the election.
- Mononuclear, on 09/15/2008, -1/+9Wasn't Romney the one who originally made the comment about Obama teaching sex to 5 year olds back in the primaries? I could be wrong. I will have to look it up.
Update: I checked. Romney wasn't the first person to attack him on it but he certainly did.

"Besides the Obama-Keyes race, this allegation also surfaced during this year's party primaries when Mitt Romney claimed Obama supported sex education for five-year-olds." - seantubridy, on 09/15/2008, -0/+8As much as we all want to believe this was a recent comment about the ads McCain has been airing, its not. This video is back from January or February and refers to McCain accusing Romney of having a timetable for a withdrawal from Iraq. Here is the story:
http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=24799 - npearson99, on 09/15/2008, -3/+10First Rove now Romney?
This is like christmas. A sick twisted christmas where I'm not sure if my toys are lined with lead or not. - n8o8, on 09/15/2008, -0/+7Well I know one Republican that is running in 2012. Honesty like that will earn him some votes too!
- charm803, on 09/15/2008, -0/+7Although this video is old and not relating to recent lies, I think I know what happened and how Palin got selected for the VP slot:
I think McCain was probably turned down by everyone he asked. - xenuxenuts, on 09/15/2008, -1/+8The base will still vote for McCain. He could strangle a child on live TV and 1/3 of the country would still vote for him.
- mark925, on 09/15/2008, -0/+6Kudos to Romney. Nice to see a Republican telling the truth.
- tpmidd, on 09/15/2008, -3/+9I voted for Romney. F McCain.
- inactive, on 09/15/2008, -1/+7Biden was overheard saying that he thinks McCain was mistaken in not picking Romney;)
- inactive, on 09/15/2008, -1/+7Having honor is like being a lady, if you have to tell people you have it, you probably don't.
- inactive, on 09/15/2008, -2/+8I'm pretty sure this is from the primaries, but it still goes to the argument that McCain isn't above lying and cheating to get into the White House. It's a good thing he's all up to his eyeballs in honor, or we'd really see some nasty *****.
BTW, I'm voting for Constitution Party candidate Chuck Baldwin. I'm a true small government Republican looking to send the party a message and I think that's the best way to do it. Just say no to fascism! - inactive, on 09/15/2008, -2/+8It was said earlier today.
- inactive, on 09/15/2008, -0/+6You missed the video dugg up here on Obama's rally in New Hampshire.
- itsontheway, on 09/15/2008, -0/+5Romney is hedging his bets. He wants to go for it again in 2012, and clearly he and perhaps some others (see: Rove) are realizing that it could backfire. Watch Rove try to spin some BS later on before November to save as many seats as possible, should there be a backlash.
If the backlash comes, and I think it will.
Rove: ¨Clearly, McCain isn´t a real republican anymore ... ¨ Watch Rove and his ilk do a 360 on McCain to try and save seats, or punt it for the dems this time around in order to have the economy bottom out in January.
Romney is probably a little ticked that he got passed up as well. As much as I hate to say it, I wouldn´t mind Romney as serving as a VP or as President. The guy is fiscally smart, and knows his *****. He is a little too slick, but he would have been a far better pick than Palin given our financial crisis. I can respect that he knows his stuff and has experience in the financial sector. - inactive, on 09/15/2008, -0/+5For those who don't know, McCain and Romney HATE each other. This is not surprising to see.
- doublefelix, on 09/15/2008, -2/+7I'm thinking it was during his campaign for the Primaries. But still....
- sharpfork, on 09/15/2008, -0/+5The "soul of the republican party" was sold long ago. Even if this video is from the primaries, it is 100% relevant right now as McCain shows he sold out any honor he had left.
- bsmeteronhigh2, on 09/15/2008, -1/+6I believe Romney would have been a better choice for president and/or VP. Bearing false witness, is I believe part of the top ten things a decent Christian isn't supposed to do. Amazing how Palin and McCain seem so practiced. Perhaps the Evangelicals should take a second look at their candidates of choice. I think they need to crack open their bibles and do some heartfelt study.
- pedo, on 09/15/2008, -1/+6wow, even this douchebag has more class than McCain and Palin
- amoirae, on 09/15/2008, -0/+5So he was lying then but is telling the truth now?
- Emrtr4, on 09/15/2008, -2/+7this is from the primary about McCain saying that Romney called for a withdrawal from Iraq. It has nothing to do with what is going on now. You gentlemen, have been played
- barktwiggs, on 09/15/2008, -0/+5Unless Romney has precognitive powers, he wasn't being vindictive about this statement. This was before the nomination was even decided during the primaries. There's just as damning stuff on record from all the Democrat contenders concerning Obama, so meh.
- patpl22391, on 09/15/2008, -1/+5This was during the primary when they running AGAINST each other. None.
- dehlz, on 09/15/2008, -0/+4Romney telling it straight to McCain again:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jPGnJmbDq08& - nanoscare, on 09/15/2008, -0/+4It was a trap. McCain made a false accusation. Everyone said he did. The New York Times, The Washington Post, Time Magazine, Bill Bennett. What McCain said was "simply wrong, reprehensible."
- JigoroKano, on 09/15/2008, -0/+4Well what was he talking about then?
- m8ymerc1, on 09/15/2008, -0/+4This is not the real Mitt Romney and this guy is not talking about the same McCain that's running for Pres.
