- sunburner, on 10/14/2008, -1/+55McCain and Palin for sure have the retard vote.
- roflmcwaffles, on 10/14/2008, -2/+45If ignorance is bliss, then I'd rather be miserable.
- grlykool, on 10/15/2008, -1/+40I have immense respect for the guy from that town who is an Obama supporter. He is putting himself at risk just being out about it.
- RealityDigg, on 10/15/2008, -1/+34So this is what we look like to the outside world. This is our convincing argument that democracy is the right path.
- naturegrrrl, on 10/15/2008, -1/+30Interesting that it is reporting by Al Jazeera that brings us this video. This is how we look to the rest of the world, wonderful.
- grlykool, on 10/15/2008, -1/+27Wow this is really bad that these rallies are getting international attention. It makes it harder for the U.S to have good relations w/ Arab and or Muslim people.
- BlackQueen40, on 10/15/2008, -1/+27This campaign has certainly been an eye-opener on just how much hatred there still is in this country on so many issues. Racism, xenophobia, and just plain out and out hatred of liberal views.....such a shame!
- inactive, on 10/15/2008, -4/+27The true Patriot is the sole man standing up for his beliefs in front of the angry irrational bigoted mob, Those Palin supports remind me of the mindset of the Loyalist during the American Revolution.
- Wryly, on 10/15/2008, -1/+23Ugliness is all we can count on from them. Tired of it.
- jasonspurlock, on 10/15/2008, -1/+23This is the most unnerving content of the election cycle to date.
As a veteran of 2 conflicts, McCain needs to stand up against this video in the debate tonight. - tomsoppe, on 10/15/2008, -1/+23This is what the Republican party looks like. Do you want to stand with them or decent people?
- elwior, on 10/15/2008, -1/+22 The most disconcerting thing about this rally are the distorted words Palin uses in talking about terrorists, people who hate America, friends of terrorists, implying Obama, whom she continues to link to William Ayers, whom she refers to as a domestic terrorist.
Playing on people's ignorance and fears to whip up hatred, bigotry, nastiness of the worst sort is a stupid and dangerous thing to do, and frankly, it is un-American. But when people like these say that Sarah Palin is "just like us," or "one of us," we now know exactly what they mean. She's not only one of them (the people on the video), she's a leader to them.
And McCain chose her be his vice-presidential running mate, potentially a heartbeat away from the presidency. And then he has the nerve to assert that electing Obama would be a "risky" thing to do.
It's heartening to realize that as McCain has ramped up this distorted "tactic," his numbers have been steadily falling. This election, as it turns out will be a defining moment in American history, and for "We the People of the United States of America." Are we the decent and honorable people that Senator Obama describes, or fear-filled hate-mongers we've gotten a view of in the past weeks?
In just three weeks we will know the answer to that question.
- okayokayokay, on 10/15/2008, -1/+20OMG! It's the preacher kid from There Will Be Blood! (at 0:30)
- gdnrg, on 10/15/2008, -0/+19Me too. That is true courage and patriotism.
- eibborjames, on 10/14/2008, -4/+22 Inbreeeders ! ! !
- diggit83, on 10/15/2008, -0/+18My wife and I live in a heavily republican area. We are both supporting Obama this election, and both have Obama bumper stickers on our cars. She is constantly berated, spit on, and has had trash and other objects thrown at her car on several occasions. I have not had any of it happen to me, but I do get tailgated and braked checked more often.
Our Obama signs have been ripped from our yard 4 times. Each time I go get another, except the last time, when I got two, and put them inside my front yard fence on each side of the house (Corner lot). These people are only making it worse for themselves and their candidate by acting this way, its getting publicity and hurting mccain. - gdnrg, on 10/15/2008, -0/+15It's why the Republican party is going down and why true, good conservatives are jumping ship and worried about the future of their party.
- sulthernao, on 10/15/2008, -0/+15File a police report, especially when your wife is attacked. That stuff is illegal. It is assault and battery and voter intimidation.
- bitfreak, on 10/15/2008, -1/+15Wow, those people are so classy. I guess they don't bother with the pillow cases anymore.
Disgusting and shameful, that's what they are. And Palin draws them like flies to crap. - sjnorth, on 10/15/2008, -1/+15These people are an embarassment to the USA.
- DD2K, on 10/15/2008, -1/+15For the sake of all that's Holy, I hope these people are not going to get to celebrate on November 5th.
It's frightening that there is so much ignorance in America, when there is so much access to information. The problem with these people is that they would rather feed their hate, nurture it and allow it to grow, than educate themselves.
God Bless Senator Obama, America and our troops. - grlykool, on 10/15/2008, -1/+14There's no such thin as Muslim blood you Nazi! Let's start calling these people what they are.
- mcarrel, on 10/15/2008, -1/+13Good grief -- these are Palin's talking points? Their opponents are 'the bad guys'? Two US senators (one of whom is a long time member and currently chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations) are the bad guys? Really?
We can see the republican ticket is really good at whipping up hatred and fear in this kind of crowd -- I guess they think that's a good thing. It certainly seems to be their only issue.
But what about the economic crisis? What about people losing their homes? What about the elderly in the Northeast who can't afford heating oil this winter? What about the great number of Americans who can't afford health insurance and those who can't get it because of a 'pre-existing condition'? What about our schools, infrastructure, etc.
And about terrorists... What have the republicans done? Eight years and no bin laden. Oh yeah, McCain says he knows how to get him -- only it seems to be a secret he won't reveal until after he's elected. Maybe he'd like to pass that information on to someone in the current administration? Maybe the Republicans would like to do something about securing our ports? LNG facilities? Nuclear material? (Obama, BTW, help craft legislation to combat nuclear terrorism). McCain? - SickMonkey, on 10/15/2008, -1/+12Political rally? It looks more like a hate rally. All that are missing are the hoods and a big burning cross.
Palin and McCain have been fanning the flames with all of their domestic terrorist BS. It is really kind of sad actually. - kayhag, on 10/15/2008, -1/+11McCain needs to pull Palin off the campaign trail immediately. "Country first," right? She's out of control and out for herself.
- matt0x, on 10/15/2008, -1/+10The level of irresponsibility by John McCain and Sarah Palin shown over the past two weeks makes me question why I ever liked the John McCain of 2000. I have been extremely disappointed that this American hero, an honorable man, has forever stained himself and Sarah Palin is an insult to any intelligent citizen.
- tcbishop12, on 10/15/2008, -1/+10Without the support of the racists, the stupid, the undereducated and the perpetually paranoid, McCain-Palin doesn't stand a chance. But at the core of the Obama candidacy is the belief that freethinking openhearted people in America far outnumber all the cretins, racists, the willfully ignorant, the gleefully hate-filled, the small minded, the backward looking, jingoistic morons.
Republicans who actually value time-honored principles have become appalled at what they are seeing. Guaging from my friends and family, there are a growing number of Republicans distancing themselves now from McCain-Palin, and some have switched their vote and are now supporting Obama. - inactive, on 10/15/2008, -0/+9My car has been vandalized twice.
- pickwickianmom, on 10/15/2008, -1/+10The intellectuals in the GOP decided to use these people for votes. They went into their churches and proclaimed themselves the stewards of morality and 'family values'. They manipulated them with wedge issues like abortion and gay rights.
It seems they are stuck with them. With the prospect of a black President looming, the wedge issue has become race.
Little wonder that David Brooks and George Will are backing away. - inactive, on 10/15/2008, -1/+10If it weren't for hate, ignorance and heavy metal poisoning, the Repukes wouldn't get a single vote.
- grlykool, on 10/15/2008, -0/+9Yes he is a true patriot!
- MarciaJ720, on 10/15/2008, -1/+10After visiting with family, my husband and I were appalled at their racism.
What really bothered us is how they distrusted any News that was not FOX.
Folks, that's when you know you've been brainwashed and that is simply scary. FOXBOTS are everywhere and they are the most ignorant, easily mislead group of people in America. Some come close to being the closest thing to America's own brand of the Taliban. They don't even know they are being used either. - apastafarian, on 10/15/2008, -1/+9Sarah said "we grow some good people in our small towns" and the last guy interviewed proved that. We also grow ignorant racist goons in our small towns, the Sarah supporters prove that.
- mousers1968, on 10/15/2008, -0/+8There is an American Al Jeezera-you better run and hide
- londubh, on 10/15/2008, -0/+7I drink your milkshake!
- zhimbo, on 10/15/2008, -0/+7Thank you for reinforcing the message that McCain/Palin supporters are ignorant xenophobes.
- mebble, on 10/16/2008, -1/+8I love the fact that the US media is too wimpy to cover this widespread phenomenon. It takes Aljazeera to bring this to our attention.
- wonderwes, on 10/16/2008, -1/+7The proper term for these people is bigot.
- blossomstar, on 10/16/2008, -1/+7I am ashamed of my race today. This is the result of 8 years of being led by stupidity. Brings back the memories of the dark days of integration and rioting. How the tables have turned. Obama is the calm, cool, professional, PRESIDENTIAL candidate, he will lead this country with dignity and respect. McCain looks/acts like he came from a cave dweller and should be walking on all fours.
- futrsenator, on 10/16/2008, -1/+7these people really ***** scare me. the ignorance involved in statements like these are absolutely ridiculous.
- Mudgy, on 10/16/2008, -1/+7I am embarrassed as an American that we let this kind of thing fester. So much for "education". Wow!
- jetsetsc, on 10/15/2008, -1/+7This is not just a poor reflection of McCain voters, but a clear representation of the failure of the American education system. The outright ignorance and misinformation on display is really frightening, and Palin fits right in.
- electrifried, on 10/16/2008, -1/+6no wonder everyone thiks americans are dumb!! No words can express how sad these people are. Someone give them a ***** education
- kelsosmythe, on 10/16/2008, -1/+6Seriously?
Seriously?!!! - apastafarian, on 10/15/2008, -0/+5In the video, which one were you?
- blueboy2000, on 10/15/2008, -2/+6This is just how far these ridiculous smears have gotten--this election would have long since been over if not for the way they spread around.
- jarelkamar, on 10/15/2008, -0/+4That's exactly what crossed my mind when i watched him speaking ,
- okayokayokay, on 10/15/2008, -0/+4If you're going to attempt sarcasm, at least make it funny.
- angrykeyboarder, on 10/17/2008, -0/+4Frankly, this scares the ***** out of me.
- DrAZawahiri, on 10/16/2008, -1/+4they need the internet.
