- ricperry1, on 10/18/2007, -17/+184It is disturbing to me that many in our great nation seem to favor candidates who are so eager to sacrifice individual liberties for “The Common Good.” Members of the military have sworn an oath to support and defend The Constitution of the United States, against ALL enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC. That compels them to speak out against candidates who would treat our founding documents with disdain. That is why many of them support Ron Paul.

- guyinjapan, on 10/18/2007, -16/+142Interesting, considering the mainstream media would have you believe that no one even knows who Ron Paul is...
- inactive, on 10/18/2007, -12/+119its not much of a surprise really, if i were in the military and stuck in iraq i'd be supporting any candidate that favored getting me the ***** out too.
- inactive, on 10/18/2007, -16/+106I'm a life long registered Dem who just recently switch to Rep solely so I can vote for Ron Paul in the primaries. I don't care at this point that mainstream media is ignoring Ron Paul. There's plenty of time. If he can just get 20% in the primaries they'll have to sit up and listen. So, if your state requires you to pick a side to vote in that party's primaries then please do so. It's the next step to take in this effort. Believe me, signing up as a Republican made me feel icky. But just like Ron, you gotta do what you gotta do.
- Nydas, on 10/11/2007, -11/+83Sweet. I thought I was a rare breed. I only know one other soldier who supports Ron Paul, even though I've tried to get his name out there to others.
- dbhaley, on 10/29/2007, -6/+76Military favors going home over fighting crazy people for five more years.
Kind of a no-brainer. - jeffiek, on 10/12/2007, -12/+81I take back calling "military intelligence" an oxymoron.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -11/+79That is because the, "mainstream media" does not want Ron Paul to win. So they simply ignore him. The only way Ron Paul will win is from a grassroots movement.
- batshitcrazy, on 10/11/2007, -7/+65Don't forget that to turn internet support for Ron Paul into actual results, you need to register as a republican and vote in the primaries.
- maz2331, on 10/29/2007, -3/+59The only thing military people hate more than war is an undefined "police action" war. If they have to fight, they want to go in, kick ass, and get out.
- nmessick, on 10/29/2007, -15/+62Ron Paul is the man. He's the most republican of any of the other sissy moderates.
- Darel99, on 10/11/2007, -8/+54I find this article rather remarkable. Mainly that it dovetails with over 137 returning service men/women I have interviewed in regard to their own thoughts of the war. They are tired of begin in Iraq and want to be home to raise their own children and have a family. I never asked any of them who they supported as a potential candidate but a few did mention they liked McCain and Ron Paul.
This is another example of why Ron Paul can win. - 2timegrime, on 10/23/2007, -5/+50medical retired army and I support Ron Paul
- EllimistX, on 10/11/2007, -1/+43Woman , you keep giving him tree fitty, no wonder he keeps coming back for more. Goddamn you Loch Ness Monster!
- Fieri, on 10/11/2007, -9/+51This is great news. Even I never expected this level of support.
- Neiby, on 10/11/2007, -13/+54Yes, Diggers, put your money where your mouth is. Back up all your pro-Paul posts with some donations.
And, yes, I already donated. - roflcawpter, on 10/18/2007, -11/+52This is because Ron Paul's foreign policies are actually smart. Hint: It involves not wiping Israel's ass.
- vertinox, on 10/18/2007, -5/+46I saw a Ron Paul Revolution poster in my city off fence getting off an interstate exit. Made me smile. Apparently he's getting pretty popular.

Ron Paul deserves to be President because he’s the only one that has shown he understands that the only way to keep America great is to protect the rule of Law. And the ultimate rule of law for the USA is the contract between its people and its govermentment - the US Constitution.
- strOphe, on 10/11/2007, -5/+38Of course it's easy to be cynical and say they are donating to a man who promises their withdrawal. Of course, he also has the most veterans too so that's not the whole story here clearly. If I had to guess, I'd say anybody who takes an oath to uphold the constitution with their LIFE if necessary is probably going to be interested in the candidate who will uphold the constitution at all cost. Period. And honestly, looking at the rest of the Republican candidates, that leaves one man standing very tall above the rest. Dr. Paul.
- digitalDTox, on 10/11/2007, -6/+39Keep in mind that those in the military cannot speak out against or endorse politicians publicly, especially officers. If you wear the uniform, "free speech" has limits. As much as some people would disagree with that rule, it's actually there to protect our political infrastructure. But yes, you are right - Ron Paul's foreign and domestic policy is certainly a topic of much discussion round these parts.
- andshewas, on 10/11/2007, -3/+36Dude, keep trying. It's worth it!
- Pssdoff, on 10/11/2007, -3/+35https://www.ronpaul2008.com/donate/
- swordedge, on 10/11/2007, -4/+35Ron Paul would get most of them home really soon and not send them back out to some place we've never heard of so this makes sense to me.
- gus2074, on 10/11/2007, -8/+38The gov't has been systematically manipulated into stripping us of our Constitutional rights. Rights which both Republicans and Democrats have traditionally fought for. This has been a very long slow process for those who are doing it. This last go round was designed to take out civil liberties and while the left is mad as hell to do something about it the sold out so called Republicans do nothing. The problem is that the left doesn't restore the liberties after they're gone. Instead they go after the right for their core values.
Military minds must be realizing this and are turning to support Ron Paul because the next go round will be for the the already bought out Democrats to strip citizens rights to bear arms. Think about a liberty-less disarmed public and you've got yourself a recipe to command the best slave labor market the world can offer. - andshewas, on 10/11/2007, -10/+40I really hope Ron Paul gets a chance. He is by far and wide the best candidate out of the whole slew of monkeys vying for the position of President.
- scoobydoo84, on 10/11/2007, -9/+39An honest American who cares about America and puts America first. This man is the only one worthy of holding that great office of US freedom. The rest of these roaches need to be swatted or dropped of in the middle of Fallujah.
- kazamx, on 10/29/2007, -0/+29I take it people from the UK can't donate?
And yes it does effect me. We can't leave Iraq until the Americans do. If you leave we can bring our boys and girls home. - Pssdoff, on 10/11/2007, -4/+32Even the veterans favor Ron Paul
- Influsion, on 10/11/2007, -6/+32There are many ways to measure Ron Paul's success. This is one of them. And it's one of the best so far; besides internet polls, facebook support, digg support, Youtube support, straw polls, blogs, technorati; and of course even Tucker and Jon Stewart like him.
- andshewas, on 10/11/2007, -3/+29I don't want to get scammed, but I'd like to donate a little. Where do I donate?
- themanmachine, on 10/11/2007, -5/+30i just gave him $3.50
- mlock2k, on 10/11/2007, -6/+31So what do we do ? If we the public were to start a grassroots push to get this guy some attention wouldn't it be huge ? Our fair and balanced news really isn't being too fair by not giving him any attention. In fact if they went by what the public said he would be winning cause he has won some polls they fail to mention that too. Either way it sure feels like they are fisting us with there Corporate candidates that are flip flopping more than a trout in mating season. I am so sick of the same people taking the same BS line about how they will do this and they will do that. We need a change Ron Paul is sounding like a saint these days. Sure he might not get BJ in the oval office but haven't we lived through that. Do we need a president that is flashy like that anyways? We do have Paris for that action these days. Our presidential election should remain our choice not what the zogby polls or cnn or fox news say we should vote for.
Ron Paul The Peoples Choice
Vote or get Shanked - urby86, on 10/11/2007, -5/+29Here in Arkansas, you don't have to register to a party to vote in it's primary. I'm registered as independent and I'll be voting for Paul. I wish more states would operate that way.
- Influsion, on 10/11/2007, -5/+29RonPaul2008.com
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+20Military members are allowed to donate money to political candidates and participate in political forums. They just have to be very careful about what they say about a sitting President, because Bush is the Commander-In-Chief. For your everyday average "GI Joe" military member to donate to Ron Paul's campaign there will be no consequences. However the very high up Generals wouldn't donate to any campaign because at the higher levels of military command are where politics become entangled with the military.
- nunzi, on 10/11/2007, -6/+26Same here, verbatim.
- scoobydoo84, on 10/11/2007, -4/+24You hit the nail on the head. Though I don't think Paul is willing to wipe anyone's ass and is the only candidate who puts American interests first. And of course that hurts Israel the most since that so called ally has done nothing but abuse our friendship.
- hmmdar, on 10/11/2007, -2/+22The mug is pretty cool from Ron Paul's site. I use it all the time at work, and get the chance to point people in his direction when they ask about him.
- BabaRamDass, on 10/11/2007, -1/+20But he's not speaking for you. He's simply saying who he'd be supporting if he were in the military.
- geckofiend, on 10/11/2007, -1/+19If you're an E4 you should be familiar with the concept of an unlawful order...
- f0dder, on 10/11/2007, -8/+26Samuel L Jackson supports Ron Paul.
- danconia, on 10/11/2007, -1/+19Time to call Hannity and let him know who the troops are supporting!
1800 941 Sean the show's on the radio right now. - slipgrid, on 10/29/2007, -1/+18Gave $25 last night. First time every donating to a political campaign, but after watching the video of him at Google, I decided I have to. Plan on giving the same every two weeks until he's in office.
- jasdf, on 10/11/2007, -1/+18I am surprised that there are so few anti Ron Paul comments in this thread, maybe things have turned the corner.
- workharderscum, on 10/11/2007, -1/+18Worry - retards get to vote too. Sometimes they even get to be president ;-)
- emjaymj, on 10/11/2007, -2/+18There are two ways to solve the problem net neutrality is trying to fix. One of them is obviously, net neutrality, but that is essentially the beginning of government regulation of the Internet.
There is only one United States government, and what they say goes in the country. If a corporation does something people disagree with, we can always bring our money elsewhere. The reason this is a problem with the Internet is that it's controlled by government-sponsored monopolies, so the competition isn't really there.
Ron Paul's solution to the problem is to open up the market and stop playing favorites with corporations. With sufficient competition, the companies will have to provide services according to OUR rules because there will be plenty of other companies willing to accept our money instead. In this way, the net can remain neutral WITHOUT government interference and unnecessary regulation. Sounds like a much better way to deal with the problem to me.
So, that thing that disturbs ME the most is that so many people are subscribing to the FUD about Ron Paul without using the critical thinking that nature has been so kind as to grace them with. -
