- fancypantscz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Wolf could have asked Gravel about his opinions on the military industrial complex and the negative impacts it has on American democracy and society. That would have been far more informative than questioning his stance on a potential nuclear terrorist attack on US soil. To my knowledge no other candidate has even mentioned this issue that could include defense lobbyist corrupting our government. I would love to see if Gravel is willing to take a stand against the illegal influences corrupt defense contractors have on American democracy. In my opinion, it is one of the root causes of our Iraq blunder. If you still don't think it is a topical issue look into the back rooms of the CIA and Department of Defense for the cases that the now fired Federal Prosecutor Carol Lam was prosecuting.
In my opinion Wolf asked questions in order to serve the network executives who want to force Gravel to play their fear game and distract him from speaking truth to power as he did at the MSNBC debate.
It is great to see Gravel get some exposure on television but, as always, if you play by rules set by 'the man' your rarely allowed the opportunity to claim the emperor has no clothes.
I can't wait to see him on the CNN debate on June 3rd. According to a post on his site he was just invited. Way to go grass roots! - wthnow, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Eisenhower speaking back in the 1961 on the military industrial complex. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8y06NSBBRtY
