- BeingJohnGalt, on 03/26/2008, -2/+11Ron Paul, Mike Gravel, Bob Barr, Michael Badnarik, Mary Ruwart... Now THAT is a party I would be proud to join!
- rmtatum, on 03/26/2008, -12/+1Mike Gravel is not a libertarian. He's a socialist and a globalist!
- rmtatum, on 04/03/2008, -0/+1http://www.theadvocates.org/quiz.html Gravel is a socialist whether you believe it or not.
- rmtatum, on 03/26/2008, -14/+1And the Libertarian Party begins to become just like the Democrats and Republicans. This is horrible! How can the Libertarian Party support someone who is a globalist and a socialist? So much for standing for principles!
- V3n0M, on 03/26/2008, -1/+8Where do you get that Mike Gravel is a globalist and a socialist? I haven't done a great deal of research on the guy, but what I have read led me to believe he is more in line with Ron Paul than even Dennis Kucinich is. Of all the Democrats he seemed to offer the best choice for getting out of Social Security (a high priority for me, just after the war, which he also wanted out of).. I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just looking for your source so I can see for myself. Thanks!
- FullmetalGinta, on 03/26/2008, -1/+7You know he only joined the libertarians because he knew he wouldn't become the democratic nominee, so now that he is a libertarian he can run in the general election.
- AtheismFTW, on 03/27/2008, -2/+6Mike Gravel, Barack Obama, Bill Richardson = dream team
- KILLnwoPLANS, on 03/27/2008, -2/+4Atheism-
You actually have no idea who Barak Obama has picked to be in his cabinet, do you? If I told you they were actually scarier than HilLIARy's, would you believe me, and do some research? PLEASE?
Firstly, David Rockefeller is behind all of them except Kucinich, Dr Ron Paul and Gravel.
Secondly, Obama's point men will be none other than Zbig Brzezinski, Tony Lake and General McPeek... CFR members all of them.
Please read The Grand Chessboard before you cast your wet dream vote for Obama, OK?
What CAN be done at this time, is to put incredible pressure on Barak (never-answers-his-email) Obama to end the war NOW, and to vow, in writing, to have a non-interventionist Foreign Policy, like Switzerland has.
Please don't cast your vote to put the NIXON-GHW Bush-Clinton bad guys right back in the White House shadows!!

- integral222, on 03/27/2008, -8/+3Libertarians come in two breeds: the reactionary anarchists (Ron Paul-esque) and the strangely paranoid (Alex Jones-esque). Mike Gravel is neither and just wants a nomination.
- wearehere, on 03/28/2008, -0/+3Nice! I dug it .
- freedomwv, on 03/30/2008, -0/+3The Libertarian Party and Gravel does not seem like a good mix. Gravel supports a socialized medical system which is something that most Libertarians are very much against. While I really do like a lot of the things that Gravel supports, except the socialized medical system thing, he might very well be playing politics here to get at least one party to give him the nod to run for president. He does have an agenda, but he is not an evil man from what I have learned about his past. Gravel as a Libertarian will be interesting for sure.
- brucemuir, on 03/31/2008, -0/+1I agree. He also wants a 20% tax on pretty much everything, which to me doesn't seem very libertarian. He seems more like a green candidate.
- sdubois92, on 03/30/2008, -0/+1I could see liking him if he changed his outlook on government. Being a Democrat, he supported taxes and big government. He has some strong points, but overall his positions aren't 100% inline with the libertarian philosophy.

http://www.diatribune.com/the-libertarian-party-al ... - ghermez, on 04/04/2008, -0/+0Gravel is a breath of fresh air and we need to support him so he can get his message out!
