thinkprogress.org — In an editorial in yesterday’s New York Sun, Diana Furchtgott-Roth, former chief economist at the U.S. Department of Labor and a senior fellow at the Hudson Institute, misrepresented the effects of Sen. John McCain’s (R-AZ) plan to expose health benefits to taxes.

  • jodimcmullen, on 09/11/2008, -0/+6There are thousands of people who can''t get treatment for early stage cancer unless they are able to prepay tens of thousands for surgery, chemo and radiation. Even once your cancer is considered terminal and you get on Social Security Disability you have to live at least 6 months to get your first check, and 18 months before medicare is available. Many cancer victims die within that period after paying in for years and years.
