Michigan Democratic primary electoral votes will not be counted due to Party arrogance. That means that voting Democratic is a waste of time and energy. Here is where we can take this farce and make a true difference in BOTH Parties.
Vote for Ron Paul in the Republican Primary!
I know, I know he is not electable. Who cares. He is the ONLY REPUBLICAN with guts enough, and may I add Congressman of either party, to vote against the war. His own party is against him. The media is against him and calls him a nut for always voting against the grain.
SO WHAT!!!
Let us make a political decision on our own to send the strongest message possible to the media. I don't like any of the other Republicans anyway and most of us in the anti-war movement feel the same way. So in Michigan we can "kill two birds with one stone" so to speak and make Romney, Huckabee, Giuliani, Thompson and especially the true nutcase McCain and his, 100 years of War, eat crow.
This will keep Ron Paul screaming an anti-war message right through the Republican National Convention. Sweet as it can get!
Swallow your pride, close your eyes, say the words "I want a Republican ballot" and go do your job. I issue a pox on both your houses to the political parties. Democratic Party shame on you for your arrogance and controlling manner. Republican Party stop talking about managing the killing and then voting for McCain the insane. - vabuilder, on 01/12/2008, -2/+4Great blog. We all need to remember that we may favor particular opinions such as democratic or republican but we are American first and foremost. We have the right to object when our leaders make decisions we don't agree with and mortgaging our future and our children’s futures and having whole generations fight and die in strange lands so we can drive big cars and be wasteful is not my belief. I agree Ron Paul may not be electable but if enough of us show that we really believe in being part of a better America, the America we are proud to be a part of, there will be other Ron Paul’s. We have the same politicians that dress alike, look alike, think alike, vote alike because we elect them. They think this is what we want and they will give us what we want in order to get elected. However, the input they get is from big business and they respond. When we vote for a plastic person that rubber stamps laws and goes with the crowd we have wasted our vote. I am an American and proud of it. Fine Americans have died to make sure I have the right to say this and to vote what I really feel. War may be good for the economy but we have a war and the economy sucks so maybe that is not as true as we have been told. If that is wrong what else is wrong. If you believe in war and don't mind our kids being killed for oil and like being told how to think and don't mind your government controlling your every move, by all means do nothing. Michigan has a chance to take a vote the democrats don't even want and make a statement that will make a change. You are an American, act like it. Show you care for your country, take a stand. It is ok to be proud. It is ok to fight to defend your company. Vote Ron Paul in Michigan. I once saw a bumper sticker that read "Republicans, are you proud yet” Well I am a republican and I am not proud. I will vote across party lines for the person that can help my country be what it once was and what it will be again. I will vote for Ron Paul. If Hillary wins I will accept it. I won't like but I will accept it. Remember, the Hillary's of this world are like windcocks, they point the way the wind blows. Let's show them who we are, what we believe and which way the wind blows. If they want to stay in office they need to know they need to keep us happy and proud. We have strayed from the right course and Michigan has the opportunity to help put us back on course.
- john2kdiggs, on 01/12/2008, -2/+4Ron Paul is absolutely electable. Stop believing the mainstream media that he is not. He is, he most definitely is electable. Ron Paul as president would change all of our lives for the better -- and probably the lives of others around the world for the better also.
We need to do this and stop thinking negative. Every single "can't" or "never" is seen by someone who may be just on the verge of joining the revolution.
When I hear the words "President Ron Paul" it will be the best day of my life. - robjceo, on 01/14/2008, -0/+1Or someone who truely cares to stop a war by any means! Someone who does not want to lose a family member needlessly.
- fadeout, on 01/12/2008, -2/+3Another loon trying to ride a wedge issue (in this case the war) to avoid people paying attention to everything else he believes in (opposition to desegregation, roe vs. wade, the EPA, etc).
